Really good breakdown of the keywords. I love keywords, every time I think one is underrated I am reminded that there are no bad keywords. They all have a place and I love some of the synergies you can make. Any deathtouch commander should run Bladed Pions (gives flying and first strike), and if you already have double strike vigilance goes extremely hard.
I'm all for cutting sol ring, but would it truly be a downgrade in Jodah? Looking at the list, 37 cards have double generic in the cost, but only a few of them don't benefit from sol ring. To me it seems that Sol Ring would either A. Let you aggresively play more rocks and 3-4 man ramp like skyshround claim. Or B. Let you play a few 3-4 mana legendaries before Jodah comes down, which means you benefit even more from the anthem effect. Even a mediocre (ignoring the quality of the card, just the efficacy of it coming down slightly faster) turn 2 like General Kudro, still seems good. slight nitpick, but glad to have you back!
@BlackGarland I've actually since cut a lot of the rocks and Skyshroud from that list, I just haven't updated it 🙃 but regardless, you're correct: an early sol ring would let me deploy a handful of cards sooner- but that's not necessarily the best thing for the deck. Legends that I cast before Jodah are half as efficient as they are when I cast them after Jodah hits because of the cascade- especially when it comes to my 3 drop legends because I use those to tutor for my 2 mana legendary protection piece. I don't know how correct it is to spew Sol Ring, a rock, and then an early legend and be down to 3 cards in hand so early in the game. After weighing the potential upsides against the cost of a card slot and the requirement that it should reliably accelerate my timeline, I'm just not convinced that it would be very effective.
In your G-GAS list, is there a particular reason for running only one "coastal piracy" type effect in enduring curiosity? feels like the deck would go great with coastal piracy/reconnaissance mission/bident of thassa/the indomitable/gix just to name a few. i only see about 5 pieces of card draw in the deck, do you find this to be enough?
@hamburgercheeseburger7959 To answer the question of "why so few," it was really just that it didn't come up in playtesting. I found that GGAS can really fly off the handle to a T6-7 win fairly reliably, and the need for card draw decreased somewhat with that speed. However I will concede that goldfishing really doesn't account for all the pitfalls of real play, and I only play 4 games with the decks in paper for time constraints, so it's possible that repeated games in the same meta prompt opponents to offer removal more easily, prolonging the game and making card draw a much greater necessity. If you find this to be the case, Gix, Enduring Curiosity, and The Indomitable are the best of those effects since they can also double as attackers and net even more draw/tokens.
Thank goodness. I was getting too confident that I did KNOW how to build my deck.
Most underrated MTG deckbuilding channel on YT.
The return of the king
would love to see you tackle weird themes like bobbleheads
It was worth to wait for your next video as always! :)

Missed you man
Welcome back!
He's back!
Yipee!
Gotta be honest I thought you had gone away
