Hello from oakville Ontario thanks for the presentation but im waiting for the 2026 mazda CX5 as seen on the carscoops website flush door handles no rear wiper blade and exclusively hybrid & phev or fully electric

It's technically not a touchscreen unless you use apple car play. Plus the knob to control is in the console and it's pretty intuitive and bonus no fingerprints on the screen. But I do agree it should be more integrated into the dash.
So Toyota give Mazda old hybrid system from Rav4 while 2026 Rav4 gets stronger hybrid system, possibly the one used in Lexus Signia and Camry. Maybe Mazda will be able to re-tune the system but it will impact fuel economy
The 2.5L hybrid system seems more suited to the CX-30. The CX-50 is a little too large and heavy to be using the RAV4 powertrain. Huge step up from the 2.5L NA but the price hike for the hybrid is a bit absurd
@@13bulletclip The CX-50 is already 200 pounds heavier than the CX-5 and 400 pounds heavier than the CX-30. And then you add 300 pounds for the CX-50 hybrid so that tips the scales at 4000 pounds

Save the spare tires! (Points to Mazda. Raspberries to Honda). It will be interesting to see what Toyota does to the next gen RAV4 interior. Even the XLE 2024 RAV4 felt a bit like it belonged in a rental car fleet. Is this the Gen 4 or Gen 5 hybrid system? Sounds like it is Gen 4. (Maybe the new RAV4 will get the Gen 5. 232 HP). I was looking at SUV's and decided this was a bad time to buy (the Mazda hybrid was not available) a SUV as most of them in my crosshairs were at the end of model run. Given I keep my cars about a decade, I decided to wait. Bought the '25 Camry instead and kept the old SUV, which is now retired from commuter duty (except deep snow days) , plus occasional light towing, and carrying large cargo.
