Folks Phil is 100% correct on saying focus on "paint enhancement" instead of "Paint Correction". Many Pro Detailer's and DIYers try to get every single imperfection out of the paint By doing so, you're most likely going to remove way too much clear. That OEM clear coat is better than anything you can put on to replace it. Be realistic and if you're getting paid by someone to do an enhancement on their car make sure you tell them the pros and cons of chasing every imperfection. This is where an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure.
Agree totally! Gloss is key imo and removing light mark's, marring from claying, washing is what l try and do. Over the last year or so l've noticed a lot of the big youtubers veering away from "Perfection" and taking Phils stance on it!
@@sunilraj7692 been my stance for as long as I could drive. My Dad was in the body shop biz for many years... My Dad taught me what to do and not to do. I have to tell you Phil, I’m at a standstill in my progression as an enthusiast detailer. LMAO! 😂🤣 By the way, Phil, Costco now has Turtle Wax Snow Foam wash and a ceramic car care kit. Just wanted to pass the word along.
I used the blue and yellow rupes polishes and the m3 micro-cut Koch Chemie like all of them but 2 things that Koch doesn't have: 1 is a soft spot to easily push out the polish 2 is a good smell but the products seem nice and would you say newer cars paints are softer?
The smell gets annoying if you are working with it every day or so. All consumer grade products tend to have good scents. The profesional ones especially most polishes dont, because it starts to bother you after using it for long atleast in my expierience.
I guess everyone has their preferences. I love products that smell nice. We work with them every day and I would rather have a nice smelling product then one that smells like chemicals. but that's just my choice.
Hi Phil. I recently (I do not remember who exactly) heard a detailer say that you only may blow out microfiber discs, and NOT foampads because the compressed air may 'deform or destroy' the foam cells. Your opinion on this?

@@MirandaDetailing Nicee, how would this paint enhancement with this specific kit compare to the all in one advance or uno from rupes? You use both for paint enhancements?
Hi. I found the KC Purple Micro Cut pad to be awesome! But i compared it to the black soft pad and it still performed just as well, at least it did on this paint. But I will be picking up some more just in case I come across really soft finicky paint. its good to have options.
What makes you choose f6 compared to micro cut when it comes down to doing an enhancement? I have both products and learning when to use both so curious as most videos I have saw just m3o2 done for an enhancement.
Hi. Our Paint Enhancements are different than most detailers, Our version of an enhancement is striving for 50%+ swirl removal. most detailer's enhancements are just for gloss and not really swirl removal. That's why we use a little stronger polish. We want a little extra cut that still finishes well in one step.
Found this very interesting guys. I just like looking after my car, my FK8 has soft paint would the Kosh micro be better ?. Like the way you describe the difference between correction and enhancement. Don't have a compressor any other way of cleaning the pad. Also what type of pad should I use.
@@MirandaDetailing thats what i was hoping to hear! :) Thanks man. Off topic, I have lots of pads so i don't need anymore but koch chemie's pads are very sharp looking but high priced in Canada. I think they are even more expensive then lake country HDO pads.

I will mist some product onto the speaker grill and use the air compressor to aggitate and blow it out. don't worry about introducing anything wet into that area, car speakers are sealed and can get wet, not completly soak of course, just use common sense and don't over saturate the area. sometimes a little steam helps also to break up the stuck on dirt.
Haha Phil Luv it priming the pad is a waste of time! Too right, just a youtube "high end detailer thing" do it on camera then carry on without. Keep it real! Please keep calling them out. Hi. Its ok, What some don't understand is I get most of this product from companies that send it to me. So I just use it when and how I feel like it. You're absolutely right about 90% process and 10% product. That's exactly what I prove by showing that we can work with almost any product and make it work. 👍 That's why I switch things up so often, I just have fun and experiment with anything I want. I teach that in my Detailing Workshop training, I show people that it's not all about the products, Its about knowing how to use them....of course, there are some situations that may call for a specific product or tool that certainly gets the job done faster or better, but you get the point, its about being reasonable and understanding any given situation.
