Just bought a pair a couple weeks ago, and was instantly reminded how great Danner boots are. They were my go-to when I was in EMS. You can smell the and feel the quality as soon as you open the box.
Congrats you bought Assembled in America with chinas made upper leather and glued on Chinas Sole in America. They just connect the vamp and the Sole together in America. The tongue clearly says imported parts
Yeah they're a complete rip off. The problem with Danner is the only boots they make that are worth a crap are for hiking/ outdoors. Their workboots feel like they just make because they're a footwear company and it's obligatory. I want a pair of Danners on par with Thorogoods. But I can't even find a pair on par with timberland. My dad always wore Danner so it's hard for me to say it, but they just suck these days.
Origin boots. I believe there is just one part that they source from outside US. Unfortunately ugly in my opinion. But I’m sure they are well made and worth the money
Danner makes some really good boots, but as you said, pay attention to their makings. If you didn’t notice, Danner states these are “Made in America “, when actually they are assembled in the USA with imported components. This is most of the Danner “Made in America” boots today.
I have 2 pairs of Bull Runs. They were fantastic to begin with, but do have 2 particular issues I like to pass on. Hopefully, Danner will consider changing this to make them better without costing more. 1. I found after about 2-3 years of use, the heel counter is made of plastic, and does not go straight around the back of your heel. It has a raised section that runs up along the back of your Achilles tendon. That curved upper section tends to flex when you push your feet forward, like when pressing a gas pedal. Over time that curved upper portion will break. This leaves a sharp edge inside the heel that slowly cuts all the way through the heel counter, creating a big hole. Thus, leaving the boot not worth rebuilding. The heel counter insert should be made of leather. 2. It has a synthetic Fibron insole, and does begin to crack and break down after a couple years, which would then require a full rebuild and replacement. Leather insoles do last a bit longer, and seem to mold to your foot better.
@@cjanquart ...I agree. However, I think the price of White's is getting a bit out of hand. Luckily, they still have a very strong following. If Danner was to make those 2 changes, they would not cost $400 like a pair of White's. That would warrant a cost increase of maybe $10-$20 in materials. For a pair of Bull Runs to be $230-$250, it would be worth every penny.
@@Condor1970 I caught a sale from White's so I had to pull the trigger. Certainly not saying Danner's are a bad boot (I had a pair of EMS Strikers while working hospital security and they worked well) but I have a new appreciation for PNW boots.
@@cjanquart ...Well, Danners are not a bad boot, but they are also not a "great" boot. They suffice when you need a decent boot, but don't have the extra to spend. Don't expect the kind of quality you find in the top PNW brands. I have a pair of Wesco Jobmasters, and Nicks Roberts. They are both by far superior boots in virtually every aspect. My only point, was that they could be a much better boot if only a couple of small changes were made.
Yeah definitely! The next pair of boots I get will be Origin! They make them in Farmington, ME which is where I was born. So I think that’s pretty rad!
Might want to get a neodynium magnet from K&J, they come in a ton of sizes and should have enough pull secure the mic through your sweatshirt. I've modified pins on my work uniform with magnets so I don't have to poke holes in my shirts and worry about losing the pin backings.
I made that mistake, thinking that all their boots were American made. I bought a pair of their hiking boots, for hunting. I wore them for the first season, went to put them on for the second season and the sole's disintegrated. Looked at the label, " Made in china" 👎
You’ve got me ready to change up my entire closet! Great series, I’m loving it!
Haha thanks bro! It’s definitely a mindset shift! But I think over time, it’s worth the investment!
Any chance of that follow up video? Love the look of these boots!
@@MeLikeNike hey! Gonna do a video after 1 year!

Heck yeah man! Excellent boots that smell amazing!

I need to get a pair of those!
Heck yes you do!
Awesome video, dude. Those boots look awesome. I might need to grab a pair.
They are super highly quality!
Looking good! A pair of moc toes will be my next boots. Thanks for sharing.
Most definitely man! They are great boots!
Audio was crisp and clear man! I need one of those mics lol and those boots are stunning!
Heck yeah bro! The mics are epic! And they come with a charging case!
Great series! Keep it up! 🇺🇸
Spectacular quality as always dude! I’ve always loved your aesthetic and style. Both and photos and videos are consistently top quality!
Thanks bro! I really appreciate that!
Awesome video. And the mic stayed on the whole time!
Yeah it did! I was impressed!
Audio sounded good. Those boots look sweet. Great video!
Thanks Joe! You should definitely check out this lapel system if you haven’t already!
@@AllAmericanMaker I use the Rode wireless go ii and they actually make a magnet cover for it like what your dji system has.
Finally. the perfect silhouette.
I have a pair of these in black and they’re awesome!
Definitely can’t wait to wear the black ones too!
The real trick is finding U.S.A. made with domestic parts instead of imported, that can be quite difficult.
I forget what they are but it's the brand joe Rogan uses. Those are currently the only 100% American made (all parts) and assembled boots.
There's others, Gokey is also a good example of this.@@ryanwesson91

@@ryanwesson91there’s several boots companies that source everything in the USA, Whites, Nicks, Franks, JK Boots, Russell Moccasin Boots and more.

Good point! Thanks for the tip!
Do they offer insulated moc toe? Ive tried searching and can't seem to find many. Thanks!
@@StoneHands25 I don’t think so, at least not yet
Good looking Boots
Definitely need to check those out! Appreciate the video, looks and sounds amazing
Thanks bro! They are definitely worth getting a pair!
Just pay attention to the price and you’ll know where it’s made! Those made in Asia are usually much cheaper
Love the video outdo as well! Keep it going man!
Thanks bro!

Reason #2 is why I didn't go with them; went with White's Perry Select in 6".

Awesome series I love the American made products.
Thanks for taking the time to wash them!
Great review…Thank you
Hey you bet! Thanks for taking the time to watch!
Awesome stuff man! I may pick up a pair soon!
You should!
If you want truly made in American boots, origin or whites boots. I do love my danner mocs however they are made in American with imported parts.

Ngl, Danner has a better-looking logo compared to Red Wing.
5 month boot but comfortable for sure
Maybe better if you work inside
Really enjoying the American made product videos. Keep them coming

Oh dang, that’s a major bummer! Yeah, some companies are tricky to navigate! Hope you have better luck with your next pair!

They run a little narrow
The Danner bull run Chelsea boots are excellent boots so are the the bull run round toe 8 inch
Yeah, I definitely want to check out more of their boots! This year, I will definitely be posting some more videos with new boots from them!

We get and got shit products in South Africa wish I had the same exact boot 😢
