Great Vlog. Being from Montana I am sad I was not there as I go to Deadwood from time to time. Make sure you come back in the summer, lots of summer activities and close to Mount Rushmore and such. One day not enough time. Never underestimate Spread Limit Games. At times, there is more action than a No Limit Game!
Definitely wanna get back in the summertime for a few days. Will capture more of the region next time. 👌🏼

Maybe you didn't plan to end up in Deadwood, SD. But the Black Hills of South Dakota is one of the most beautiful places in the US. And SO MUCH to do - enjoy!
Great to meet you Andrew wish I was a better player and had some time at the bigger table with you. Either way a little time with you at the 1 3 table was the highlight of the trip. Just wish I had a hand to play during that time.

I've stopped through Deadwood on the way back to drilling oil in North Dakota from days off spent in Colorado. Gold mining tours in Lead and checking out the bar with the chair that Wild Bill Hickock was shot and killed in, were both on my list

Oh good ol Cadillac Jacks. If there was a way to turn live poker into a slot machine, Deadwood has got to be the closest to figuring it out! I love that town though. Those little mountain gambling towns just have a certain charm to them.
Dont know why you went during this time of year or if you were invited but the time to go and play is during Sturgis in August...you will find the tables will be much more FAVORABLE...and if you do come around again play and stay at the Lodge

I have a cabin about 20 minutes from deadwood at the top of spearfish canyon (toward the winning border. It's a beautiful part of the country. Cool little town. Kevin Costner has a big house on the hill on the west side of town, and dances with wolves wasn't filmed far.

Can't believe you played poker in Deadwood but didn't reference Wild Bill Hickok who in that very same town back in 1876 was shot dead during a card game,, holding Aces and 8s. Poker history!
Only it is not poker history. That myth didn't start till 1926 man. There are no contemporary accounts of Hickocks' hand and the so called "dead mans hand". Many references to the "dead mans hand" are found in print starting as far back as 1886 but none were ever attributed to Hickok till 1926.
After somebody gets their brains blown out with a Colt .45 I very seriously doubt there were guys checking what cards people were holding. It just defies logic.
