      Epic Aces man...it would've been interesting to see a showdown with those Kings. But then I think about all the times I've gotten my Aces cracked by a guy hitting trip 8's on the flop or some equally crappy run out. And when you're considering it for 320 bigs effective...yeah...glad it wasn't like a 4 way all in, too! Even ACES...versus the field, don't have terribly great odds, despite having the best bet for any single hand. Great vlog anyway! Glad to see you take down a nice sized win!

    I like the line that you took with AA. As you were telling about the hand, I was hoping you would flat the initial 4 bet. After the 5 bet goes in, I would have shoved too. He almost always has KK or the other two aces. Calling or shoving in this spot is just really strong. Shoving may actually keep our range wider, in his mind, than cold calling the 5 bet.

      Niccolò Ivarson where does this stat come from? Cuz really ace2 is a much better chance your opponent doesn’t have aces. So if they fold Kong’s you could jam any ace cuz if Kong’s gives you a 1.4 percent chance than having an ace must mean it’s like a .7 percent chance

    I looked up the story about the robbery. According to surveillance footage, the robber was about 5’8’’, 160 lbs, white male, between 30 and 40 years old. There was no mention of him shouting “this robbery is Favorable!” while running away with the loot, so thus far the crime is unsolved. I just wanted to put your mind at ease because I know you might be worried about the uh... parking situation. See you next video, unless you have to “take a break” for 8 years.

    Hey Andrew! Good stuff, as ever! A thought about your AA hand at the end; I think you should definitely 5bet vs the SB's 4bet range. Main reason is that you can do the same thing with QQ,KK, AK and therefore people can more easily ram their stack in with KK and QQ. When you take the line you did, you can basically have AA and only AA and so it's relatively easy to fold KK. Also, if you do cc the 4bet, you should definitely flat vs the 5bet from UTG+1 so he can put all the money in with his most likely holding (KK) postflop, as well as any bluffs he might possibly have (not too likely but who knows). Thanks for the vlog Andrew!

    • @PapaCharlie9
      @PapaCharlie9 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think people can 4b cold call with a much wider range than just AA-KK. Granted, the 6b shove narrows the range a bit, but I think there are enough combos of AK and KK in the 6b jam range -- with a few percentage points for the occasional any pp or random hand -- that it makes a call with KK correct. Of course, if you have history with the 6b jammer and he'd never shove with anything less than AA there, sure, it's a fold.

Of course, that is the "correct" thing to say, but to actually practice that in real life is a different "thing" altogether. Wow what an excellent run Nemee! I tried posting a comment on your last vlog but I must have been sleepy as it didn't work. But I hope this favorable run good continues for you. The last hand was amazing. I would have jammed as well. Interesting to think how hand could have played out if you had flatted.. as his folding KK showed how much he respected your holdings. But a good fold allowed him to suffer getting a haircut but at least not a scalping. :)
    My comment that didn't go through last vlog said it would have been interesting if you'd have vlog'ed you and Busi's dinner date with friends as extra footage.. but that might make your life a bit too much like the Truman Show I guess.

      Actually on that last hand, since UTG and UTG(1) were in the hand with strong positions, the (arguably) best line after the isolated $1,250 raise was to flat call. The UTGs ( early position players..) were most likely sharing cards with the bigger hands, taking other kings and aces and potential straight cards away from the mix. Andrew could have pulled an extra couple of grand out of the pocket kings since neither would most likely improve. Yep, about eighty percent of the time...

    • @toneal30
      @toneal30 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      He should 6b jam and also jam AK/KK some non-zero percentage of the time (maybe his 6b jam range is 6 combos of AA and ~4 combos of AK/KK). Seems slightly better than having just AA.

    • @SebastianUlrich85
      @SebastianUlrich85 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      He is not jamming for protection i guess, but because some flops might kill the action. Nevertheless, i agree it is always a flat. You look super strong anyways, but maybe being hesitant helps to make your opponent believe you COULD have AK or QQ there. Flatting the 4bet and then jamming might be only KK+, UTG1 has KK, so he can find a very exploitative fold.

    (spoilers)
    That last hand was bonkers. I'm not really sure how you are supposed to prevent the hero fold there, seems like if he has it in him to find a fold button anything you do is wrong. I guess the cold 5bet could look slightly more likely to be a bluff? But lets be honest you are never bluffing with that line either. I guess you could just run the stop and go and flat the 5bet and got it in OTF, you are more likely to play hands other than AA that way I suppose. You might play QQ+/AK that way? I don't blame you for back shipping, I wouldn't give any opponent credit for being able to 5bet and then fold either. What a crazy hand!

    I had a hand sort of like your AA vs AK hand. I had 2 black aces and I think I'm closing action preflop? Utg makes it 15 and 4 people call behind him. Gets to me and I make it 67. Utg shoves for about 400 and I call, turn a full house and he was so tilted and pissed. He said i slowrolled him because i thought about calling the allin for 5 seconds before I did it LOL but he later apologized.

    Your remarks at the end are well-taken, but it seems to me that days like these kind of *make* the long term balance that, taking the long view, carry you through the downswings. So why the hell not enjoy them as much as you can?

    Andrew - at 15:03 you decide to call with Q10 os on a 9,8,3 rainbow flop. Would a raise be better in this spot vs. a call? I know you have 2 overs and a gut shot to the nut straight but you will brick out over 62% of the time on the turn (scare cards excluded). Is your call more of a float or was it player dependent (meaning you knew you could outplay your opponents on the turn)?

    • @AndrewNeeme
      @AndrewNeeme  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I rarely raise my draws in position and especially multiway, and the flop is dry enough where I might potentially flat with a set (although probably not). Happy to keep stacks deeper here.

  • @da22avox
    @da22avox 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    W O W ! ! ! ! ! ! How does he find that fold with KK. I guess you are superstrong given the betting action pre and the fact that you jam it all in vs villains 4 bet squeeze/5 bet (whatever you call it!) in question. And who knows maybe you avoided a suckout had he called.... Can't believe how it goes sometimes. Out of interest how long did villain tank before folding? Are we talking a minute or longer? Fantastic result yet again Andrew!

    Even flatting that cold 5-bet is a pretty polarizing move, not sure you would have gotten more action post-flop anyway, and you risk getting outflopped, so I would say it was a favorable outcome.

    • @PapaCharlie9
      @PapaCharlie9 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The range of 4b cold calls I've seen is pretty wide, at 1/2 and 2/5 anyway. I never know what to put those guys on, and when I've seen showdowns, it's not just AA-KK. Some people will cold call with any pockets, no matter what the preflop action is. Some people do the same thing with AK.

    Question. Your analysis is an important part of why we watch. How much of what we see in the video do you actually go thru at time of the hand being played? The 6c7c hand was very detailed. Seems like a lot to consider as it's happening.
    May be odd question, just curious.

      I’d say most of it. Part of it is sort of just second nature by now, so it’s not like all of those spoken words are running through my head before taking an action. It’s my general justification for each action, drawn out into a longform explanation.
