I have one, it is a later one than this, the 1.3. It is the most fun I have had in a long time, I ride fast bikes, always have had old alfa romeo saloons and this little thing reminds me of an old mini cooper in the way it drives, handles. Only it will cruise all day in 5th at any speed, is as fast as you could ever want.. fabulous little car
Love your video! Your excitement mirrors mine when I got mine a few months ago. It truly is a fun car. It never fails to bring a smile to my face each time i sit in it!
Thank you Bob. The previous cars we have both owned for ten years or so have been automatics so it is almost back to basics again for us! We have been used to the car sorting its own gear changes out and hovering on slopes. Now we have to hold it manually on the handbrake. Still, this can be a different sort of fun !
It really is! When we almost bought one some years previously, we test drove it in January and it was cold! But even driving with the roof down as we also did, the airflow kept it surprisingly comfortable!
Another excellent report Mike. you and Val must be delighted with the new car, and let's hope we have some fine weather for you to enjoy the full benefits of an open top sports car....Bob
Well its been a better day today for top down motoring. Reckon you, Mike, would look good in a silver zip up top, or perhaps grey flannels and blazer with a matching pork pie hat, Perhaps a grey flat cap. I bought myself a matching blue zip up for my convertible but my Jenny took a liking to it and has worn it since. Rode in a modern open top in February and was surprised how well wind deflector worked. Was just a slight ripple of breeze at 60mph. Have fun.
Hmm, the mind boggles at the sight! Val has already been scouting around for matching clothing! When we drove a Copen back in 2006 it was January and very cold. We did do a test ride with the roof down and were impressed by how we were shielded from the cold even with the roof of! So far, Val has not decided its not yet warm enough to try that again!
Car's should be just that, fun... It is my only car and I use it in and through London as well as driving back through to Devon to see family. haven't had the top down much recently however.. a god awful winter. It is a noddy car, but I love my noddy car.
Where did you get your Copen we wonder - we noticed there was a silver one for sale at Cross Keys, near Taunton two weeks ago, but sold within a few days.. Great weather for open-top motoring.
We have enjoyed driving the Copen now for a couple of years since we made this video. It is such fun to drive.. Is it comfortable and practical? No, not really, but so much fun! That is an element we find missing from modern cars!

A very happy and joyful day for both of you. Like the bringing home of a new member of the family. It found a loving home for sure. 🙂
Yes that is right Andrew. We are really too old for such a low and small car but its fun!

I do like the design. It is very clever and really compact. Perhaps too compact? No, we will get used to it! It is great fun to drive!

Nice one Mike. Never new there was so much in such a little car. I like the way the roof works. All the best...Tim.
I bet the 1.3 is superb! Our little pocket rocket of 600cc turbo performs well for its size however and it continues to give us fun!
It is indeed! I wonder how many they produced in the ten years plus of the production. The Copen must be a future classic!
i enjoyed this so much, it's great to see how excited you both were
+Brett Swain isn't it lovely? It reminds me of when I bought my first sports car.
You two are such a lovely pair of people!
Dylan i question if you appreciate their charm as i do. It is such a rarity to witness such a lovely couple experience such a moment
+Brett Swain i wouldn't say it's so rare, as 19,554 have enjoyed such loveliness :)
+Dylan Warner when i become more mature i aim to live such a life as this couple
+Brett Swain Blush Blush! Many thanks!
Hi Dave. 2nd yes! Just in time before we are too old to really enjoy open air motoring!
Thanks Dave. Its not as quick as your bike but sometimes it feels like it is!

It's like riding a bike Mike, it will soon come back to you both....exciting times to come...Bob

sweet looking little car but then Mike you love the wee cars
enjoy it both of you
Yes its a great car! The performance is surprising for such a small engine! Above all its fun to drive!
I'm from Singapore! Mine's a red one. A little sad to know that they've stopped production of the car.
Where did you get your Copen we wonder - we noticed there was a silver one
