Awesome garage!!! I'm a Harley Davidson mechanic and I love tinkering with old motors and stuff. A few years ago I had all of my tools stolen out of my garage so I am slowly rebuilding my collection again. Stay safe you two love your channel.

Jenya had same situation 4 years ago, I could imagine your emotions. So sorry to hear that.
Only one thing this criminals couldn’t steel - it’s experience, memories and power to recreate all as new one and even better.
      Hugs from Kyiv 🤗

Its lovely to see your workshop! Growing up on a smallholding, such engines were always around when I was growing up - our house was powered by a diesel generator of 1000 cc - 6 horse power at 400 rpm. Geared up to power the alternator. I would love to visit Kyiv, and if it's possible I would love to visit. I will bring British tea bags and Welsh language rock music CD. Essentials for working on engines:) good luck to you both and Слава Украине!!!

Metal base....scrap yard? Junk yard? Probably scrap yard if it's all metal stuff. Great video! In U.S. motorcycle racing we call a single cylinder engine a thumper...thump thump thump.... I had a friend that raced one. He had a control to vary the piston compression to have more control over the power without having to use his brakes like big diesels do with jake brakes You could hear him going around the track over all the others, especially when he was going into a turn!.....what a fun engine!
What do you think this engine was used for? Water pump? Seems heavy for a vehicle except maybe a small tractor? Maybe a piece of farm equipment?

An old farm 'one banger'. Very useful for running machinery around the farm/ranch. Many use the PTO on their tractors for running farm equipment today. But not so long ago, these we common in the US. Some are still around & still running. I think most had more than 4 horse power.

In English we call the thing you have your engine attached to a "jig", or "engine stand". I like how yours rotates by turning the handle, very creative. Happy to help with the names of other things.
Can type in Russian if that helps too.

4hp might not seem like much compared to other 300cc engines, but it is enough for a 2,800w generator, so well worth saving, especially if it will run on fuel which would destroy engines with higher compression ratios.

So cool. 4 horsepower. Could power a small fishing boat in days of old. Here where I live they called them "make or break engines". One piston and one shaft. They made a sound like knock-knock-knock-knock.
