I feel the same way. The first step in committing atrocities is to dehumanize. I saw enough of the POW interviews to realize the vast majority of these guys didn't know they were going there and didn't want to be there. We now have entire battalions refusing to obey orders and just camping out or retreating. Yeah there are rapes, vandalism, theft and murders, but that is not all of them. Also the big thing people need to understand is about artillery. The soldiers actually firing the artillery don't know what the target is, they only know the coordinates. We need to take care about over-prosecuting the ' orcs' and instead focus on Putin and the higher military leaders, they are the real villans. I don't think orc is as appropriate as zombie, which is closer to what they are.

@Everything You Know is Wrong • I don't agree about the music, but since you mentioned liking it, I'll tell you why I didn't.
I found the first song too cheerful for the video & the second too up tempo for trying to intellectually process the detail of the equipment. I think vocals are always a questionable choice when you're trying to impart information.
Initially I liked the third song until I realized it was like something I would hear in a club on a night out, which isn't a mood I aspire to when watching the destruction left by the Russian military.
People react to music differently. My recommendation is that Ira steers clear of it as she's growing her channel. It sounds like she's trying to use her channel to showcase friends rather than trying to enhance the impact of the video.
By the way, I'm writing this on your comment because I don't think she'll view all the replies and I don't want to hurt her feelings. However, I'm egomaniacal enough to want to get my opinion out. 😉 💪🇺🇦🕊🌻

I think you should have added your comment by itself for a better chance of being seen by the channel owner. I have found that any criticism I have offered to other channels is taken calmly due to the way that I chose to express it, meaning respectfully. I don’t care for any music when someone is stating their opinions. I find it distracting and unnecessary.

    • @yvonnetomenga5726
      @yvonnetomenga5726 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@sharong8511 • I take your point. The reason I didn't this time is Ira has just started the channel so I thought I would wait to see how she grows it. However, in case Ira does change her use of music, I wanted "Everything" to know there were other views.
I don't know if you watched the volcanic eruptions in Iceland last year but the use of music was frequently discussed. Some people like the more natural sounds. I found there were many that were beautifully edited where the music enhanced the visuals.
So I'm not always opposed to music but I've realized most TH-camrs aren't expert enough to be able to use music to enhance rather than detract.

I was a conscript in Sweden in the first years of the 90s. We were told that the main military threat came from Russia. Every field training we used the names of their armored vehicles at the time and all sorts of things. The weapons designed and made in Sweden was specifically made to target the Russian vehicles and equipment. The targeting systems of projectiles (like self targeting and propelled mortar shell system) had predefined IR signatures of the Russian equipment.
Now had been a good way to test these systems out in a real combat scenario...

They abandoned it because they found out you need running water to make one work at home. LOL!! If you can keep the metal of destroyed vehicles, metal is very valuable now. I am surprised how thin some of the plating is compared to how thick it should be. But many metals are very expensive now.

I like the ironic style very much. Well - sometimes the laughter may stuck in the throat seeing those pictures, but non the less. These soldiers had a pretty miserable life - already back in Russia and in Ukraine as well. Most of them came from very far spots of Russia and their ordinary lifestyle has few common points with ours. Basically they are left on their own with no supervision or administration, which can be seen in the senseless destructions and stupid lootings. Now: many of them won't return home. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and keep on the good work !

25% of Russian houses don't have a water toilet, only a outhouse. And the soldiers come especially from the most poorest regions of Russia, from Dagestan, from Buriatia, from Yakutia, from Bashkortostan, etc.
For them a toilet like that, of which you can buy a new one for only 50 Euros in Obi, is pure luxury. They want to take it home, so that their mama is proud of them. That's the glorious Russian economy, that keeps millions of their own people in such poverty.

I am interested in the bright red color of the rust on the destroyed Russian vehicles. It appears the reaction of iron with potassium salts. If this is the case, the Russian explosives and gunpowder are primitive in manufacture, similar to what was used in World War 1. This stuff will corrode the guns if not cleaned off immediately. If their artillery maintenance is as bad as their personal hygiene, then many Russian rifles and artillery will soon be unusable.
Keep up the good reporting. Prayers for your safety.

Excellent observation. I'll need to do a dive on this.
I do know that older Russian surplus ammunition that has become popular in the West - especially in the US - is often corrosive, though that is generally from the primers used.
It may be that Russia is just not surface treating their steel before painting. Or their alloys might be more subject to red rust.

The toilet thing is really tragically funny, Zelensky summed it up best, "You know they used to talk about their biggest dream, to see Paris and die," Zelensky said, referring to the title of a 1992 Russian film set during Soviet times, "their behavior is now just shocking, because their dream now is to steal a toilet and die."
I never really realized how third world Russia is. I had an empty apartment in Phnom Penh and I put it up for couch surfers, for some reason everyone that came was Russian and I remember wondering after one couple had left how it was that all the teflon pans were destroyed from them using metal utensils on them. I don't really wonder anymore. I need to be fair and add that even though they couldn't get the kitchen figured out they were, everyone of them (about four times I let them stay) was highly educated and generally wonderful which makes it hard for me to square this with reality.
I have met them in groups in other parts of the world and they don't mix with anyone. I stand firmly with Ukraine.

Russian armies have a long history of looting and destruction wherever they go. They tend to be poorly trained, poorly led and have low morale unless they're winning. The conditions they have left behind reflect their lack of discipline. Ukraine has shown the rest of the world just how bad the Russian Bear really is. Considering they are supposed to be a super-power, this "Special Operation" has been a complete disaster for them.
In the 80s and early 90s I was involved in a lot of planning and exercises to fight the Russian invasion of Europe and we feared their numbers, but knew that we had the logistics, training and weapons to fight them well. The Soviet armies had entire battalions dedicated bridging rivers, with massive anti-aircraft defenses and now they can barely cross a stream without being blown to hell.
    Slava Ukraine.

Perhaps the BEST piece of reporting i have seen in a long time. Clear and to the point with no pretense whatsoever. Just good honest people telling there story.
There needs to be more of this. +1 like and +1 sub.
Funny thing, the condition of the Russian billets speaks volumes about the level of quality of the Russian army. As a former Platoon and Company commander in the ADF
I would have had my boy's "guts for a necktie" if they had created that mess. No pride and a total and utter lack of care... even for themselves. Speaks volumes to there leadership
or, lack of. The level of education of the Russian troops seems poor as well Besides the basic hygiene issues they seem to lack an understanding of how the most basic modern
household equipment works. One complaint though. I think you do a MASSIVE disservice to dogs and pigs. They are only filthy generally when penned up by humans..
    Just sayin.. Lol.
Ukraine has a very tight, professional Military here, if they can maintain this then i back them to win. There leadership at all levels has not only been Heroic it has been
intelligent. THIS in itself will give them a HUGE advantage in the long run. I think once you gain the initiative the Russians are in for a NASTY shock.
Maintain your current high standard of conduct lads, don't stoop to the level of those "Orcs" you have already won the moral fight.

This (and other vids) are clear proof the Orc Army is undisciplined. It also shows the lack of leadership and discipline of the commanders. In Western armies, there would be immediate discipline for stealing (or committing any crime). Also note that the Orcs are notorious for stealing. Steal, sell it somewhere, use the money to buy booze or drugs. For them, it's normal behavior, which is why there is no discipline from their commanders (or the "soldier" next to him).
It appears to me their goal is to destroy everything so it's harder for the Ukrainian people to get back to a normal life, and create a financial burden on the Western Democracies. Also, the wholesale murders being committed will cause many Ukrainians who have left to be very hesitant to move back (leaving the country even weaker).

I was just left in utter amazement. I had heard of the lack of discipline amongst Russian soldiers but never thought it was to this level! The destruction left behind by a retreating army is understandable, but the squalor they lived in is not. An army lacking disciple and pride can't succeed for very long. Its sad to say but the term "Orcs" does apply accurately in this case.
