Thank you so much for the tips! I certainly learned something today. After accidentally breaking more needles that I care to admit while installing metal zippers in bags, I can now overcome that problem by simply using the hand wheel. Woohoo!

Thank you for sharing the metal zip info. Just curious, why do you cut the back end, as well, and sew it? Would it be easier to cut 2x the amount on the front end and leave the back end the way it is? Just wondering why the preference. Thanks again for the tips!!

Glad you found this helpful! You are right that I could have left the closed end as it is and just shortened the opening of the zipper closer in. It can be helpful to cut off the end of the zipper with the metal zipper stop just to avoid hitting it while sewing the zipper tab.

Yup very helpful. Ive been wanting to try metal zips. I’ve watched other videos that require tools that I don’t have and seemed more complicated to do. This seems easier. Thanks. Can’t wait to try it

You're very welcome! I'm so glad this video was helpful. Metal zippers are a lot easier to install than they may look. Glad you'll give them a try!
