Its cool to see these cars get some love somewhere. Here in the United States no one has these but me. The best part about the Mirage/Lancer is most evo parts of the same generation are straight bolt ins.
These SOHC lancers are great engine to be turbocharged due to its low compression engine. Had a similar setup 10 years ago, running on GT28 turbine on 16psi of boost.Stock internals with custom copper headgasket. For fuelling ran WRX stock injectors and Walbro 255 fuel pump. Throw in a water/meth kit for insurance. Engine management by Greddy E-manage Ultimate.

Hey Rex, I did a similar set up a few years ago on my 4g15 mirage with a stock ECU & TD04 WRX turbo. I just installed a boost ref fuel reg and retarded the timing a little with the distributer. Ran 9 psi with no faults for 2 years before I sold it and as far as I know it's still kicking. *Motor burnt a little oil though
@@RexH I did the exact same setup a year ago ( but with an external gate + Screamer + cast manifold from the states ) - no change to the ECU, but Fuel pressure reg on 44 psi, 4g93 injectors, tard the timing with the dizzy and it holds 7psi ( wastegate ) all day, PM if you want my socials for more info
@@RexH completely stock. the ECU cant be mapped as far as I know. I can have a dig threw my old PC if you want a video. The craftsmanship is pretty rough
It still matters. If the air is hotter going into the intercooler it will be hotter leaving the intercooler and the cooler the air going into the engine the better
Ive turboed a 15 before both sohc and dohc. Stop while your ahead, its nothing but a money pit for not alot of power and it will NOT beat V8s. Do a 4G9/4G6/6A1 swap. Much better bang for your buck, more reliable and will handle turbo charging better.

You want to push that air filter away from the back of the radiator fan it'll just be sucking in hot air
wont matter if it sucks in hot air because the intercooler will cool the air before it enters the engine
