I used the recipe you provided and I must say it came out perfect. I did have an issue with my tahini sauce. But I'm working on it. I had used tahini sauce, yum yum sauce and mayo with some lemon juice.
Made these for dinner on Thursday and they were a hit with my picky son. just like all your recipes. Thanks Suzi for another winner!! BTW do you have any recipes for oil packed sundried tomatoes ?
Toasted rye bread (or any dense bread of your choice) with goat cheese and packed sun dried tomatoes in oil is one of my absolute favorite, flavor packed and simple meals. Just delicious
Hi, Sweetheart, please excuse my ignorance but would this also work with other meats, pork, lamb, chicken etc? Because of blasted Covid, for the second year running, we’ve had our holiday cancelled and aren’t allowed to travel and I’m really missing the food.... Thank goodness for You, Honey. Much love to you from England. xxx
Is your problem that you don't want a wine vinegar, or do you simply not like the taste of white wine vinegar? If you just don't like the taste then pretty much any other vinegar will work. If you have a religious or medical reason for avoiding wine products, then Apple Cider Vinegar or Rice Vinegar might work better. Failing that, you can always just use more lemon juice.
@@donpablo2170 for table use perhaps. But for cooking i find it much faster and theres no clean up. You just grind what you need and pour it into your food. For a decent amount of pepper it seems like im grinding forever with a pepper mill. With the mortar and pestle im done in seconds. A coffee grinder is also a good option but only for large quantities.
You’re good. I just saw this at 11p PST and had made chicken thigh shawarma for dinner tonight. Excellent timing!

Yes , it works well with other meat sources as well . Secret to the recipe as she mentioned in the video is the spices.
I don’t have white wine vinegar at the moment can I switch to red wine??
Sure!
Hi Suzy, what can u substitute the white wine vinegar for?

I could not find white wine vinegar where I live but had rice wine vinegar so I used that and had no complaints from the family 😅
So which cut of meat did you use it?? Thanks
I used flap steak
The recipe starts at 1:19.
😋
will you please give the ingrient of this

Can you substitute with chicken
Yes. We also have a chicken shawarma recipe and video on our channel and website. Simply do a quick search and you should find it
I just crush my peppercorns with my mortar and pestle. Easy and quicker than a grinder.
Much better option!!
How is that easier and quicker than turning a grinder ? And you have clean up to boot....sounds like more work to me
