So my current GPW is out of warranty and started double clicking and I didn't know what to do, repair or replace, but I am glad I watched your review. I remember when the GPW launched, people said to wait for later batches since the very first ones had the left and right mouse buttons rubbing and scratching when clicked, sticky middle or left/right mouse buttons and many more little issues like that. Logitech is known to make minor corrections in later revisions especially if the customer keeps sending back mice that fail within a few months of ownership (my G305 and G Pro). The replacement G305 has better feeling buttons all around compared to the old one that was replaced and after more than a year of ownership there have yet to be any double clicking issues (the 10M Omrons are said to hold up better than the 20 or 50M Omrons found in the original G Pro of which was prone to double click after some months of use). The Razer Viper Ultimate I own has as crisp a feel as my Logitech G403 and Razer Mamba Wireless so they too might have sorted the mushy feeling found in the initial production run. Now if only I could get my hands on a Glorious PC Model O Wireless at a local retailer so I can make an easy return if I find the mouse doesn't suit me.
The mouse feet on the Superlight look so good and looks like a piece of candy. I got the glorious model o wireless and so far it's been really great. Are you going to make a video on the model o wireless after 2 months use as well?

Yeah i own 3 FK2 myself. I always buy a new one cause of this feeling on the left button after 1year of use. But damn 2 months and already this problem ?
Okay, so. I have had this mouse since release day, and I do not feel the " mouse 1 and 2 creaking " at all. It's clearly just a one off time. Sorry man.
ive had mines since it first came out and i have 0 issues you've explained and idk who presses their clicks down that hard and pushes them right and left
Really appreciate reviews like this, Ive had my G pro wireless since just before Christmas, I grip and press hard the same as yourself, I feel the clicking issue I dont have on 1&2 even when pressing hard but i think the thumb mouse buttons were abit mushy from the start but it hasnt gotten any worse for me so far. Its better than the mouse I had previous overall but is it that wonderful for the money I think its slightly priced for hype rather than actually quality honestly.
just ordered this through logitech since they finally restocked. currently using a viper ultimate and it creaks just like you described on your g pro. its awful.
On your Viper, wherever the creak is, press down really hard on that area a few times. Very hard. Imagine you're a chiropractor and that creak is a back that needs to be cracked. Just kinda work the creak out with hard presses. Eliminated 99% of my creaking issues, no lie. This works to some degree on any optical switches.
Don't use Logitech Mice if you use the scroll wheel a lot in-game. When you scroll up and down rapidy the mice can't keep up with your inputs and won't register your commands. On Warzone for example, i have Primary Weapon bound to scroll Up, and secondary weapons bound to scroll down, so when you have to suddently "cancel" a weapon swap by swiping in one direction first and then the opposite direction quickly to cancel, the mouse can't keep up with your inputs and won't register what you've asked it to do. This isn't just a defective product i have either, it happens to all of their Mice that I've tried... G403... G305... G PRO Wireless Superlight and the original G Pro Wireless, it's something about the way they're all designed. No big reviewer is bringing up this issue either which is quite annoying.
i play Os runescape and i scroll alot to control the camera. My scroll wheel is fucked already after 4 months. when i scroll down or up sometimes it just jams and does the opposite imput. fucking scam company
I fully I agree with your review. Just one question. Can you also click the middle mouse button (wheel) when you press it to the right side? Or is it just mine? Also when I press the left button on the outer right side, I press the middle button as well. I would highly appreciate your answer. Thanks
I experienced exactly the same issues with G305. I understand all the lightweight trends, but $150 mice should not flex like that. My mind constantly goes back to the glory of G9x that was a tank, yes weights were a thing back then, but man was that thing durable.
My 69g glossy GPW is holding up amazing after 1 year of extensive use. Was thinking of picking up the GPX but maybe it's not worth a quality drop for 9 grams.
My copy doesn’t have that and I bought mine on launch day. I use at least 12 hours a day, (work/gaming) and have had none of those issues.. I would contact Logitech.
@Xavier Jones I had to send back my model o because it's left click was mushy and sticky and I only bought it on the last day of January, I sent it back the day after.
I switched from viper ultimate. Go for the shape, I prefer the superlight's shape, the razer had worse buttons and shape, overall that was the better mouse. I like this better, I did not regret it. Personally I say, try the superlight, if you don't like it, just get a refound and a Viper ultimate, thats all! But I would start with the superlight.
Love your vids man! You make it sound like you treat your gaming mice like a stress ball. Bound to be wear and tear sooner rather than later I guess if that's the case.
Which do you think is a better deal, the Viper Ultimate for 100$ or Glorious Model O Wireless? And also I like a lot your reviews, you are always very honest in them
A difficult to do but fair comparison would be to see if those flaws were seen on other mice (in the +100$ range for example) Now it might be that you had "a bad feeling while playing" so you dug into this, which is legitimate especially if never felt with other mice ! Getting a new copy (manufactured later...) and repeating the same test would be interesting.. manufacturing youth issue or design issue ?.....
My left click on mine has a wobble if you shake it up and down, but won't happen in regular play. That is my main issue with the mouse. I love the mouse more than all the others I had but the unsecured mouse buttons are sad for an EXPENSIVE piece. Also, dead skin shows up fast on the mouse too. I wish we had a warranty that wasn't "limited hardware" so we can fix these issues on such an expensive item.
just got this mouse in today to upgrade from my 4 year old g502 and honestly, its so different but i definitely like the clicks and sidebutton positioning on the g502 a lot more. feels so much more crisp and the buttons feel so much more accessible to me on there. also i feel like the buttons are a little too light for me compared to the g502 and instantly started having accidental presses on the mouse2. but the shape and weight on the superlight is really refreshing. also i noticed it doesn't have sidescroll buttons but when i push the mousebutton to the right, it clicks the mousewheel but when i push it to the left, it doesn't have that. anyone else have that too? mouse1 and mouse2 just don't feel as tactile
I tried your pressing on my copy, it doesn't creak. Could just be a difference in manufacturing. Side buttons aren't really mushy on mine, I don't have a problem with them.
mine had the exact same issues with the left and right click moving around so much and had the same mushy feeling with the side buttons. the lightweight is nothing more than just a overhyped money grab from Logitech and i felt lucky to even get my full refund. In conclusion the G pro is still god tier of light mice.
@@truthtimetv4575 I been hearing this as well I'm starting to suspect that it might just depend on certain mouse pads? But idontknow how that would be possible cause the feet are really paper thin and my mouse would always scrape on my pad?
This is a really helpful video. I just returned a Viper Ultimate because of a minor squeaky feeling and side to side travel of the buttons, but it was nowhere near as bad as the mouse in the video. Stuff like that is so noticeable in day to day gameplay and I really wouldn't risk getting something that is prone to those issues. I was looking to the Superlight as a replacement, but after my OG Wired G Pro lasted for 5 years of ridiculously heavy playtime in games where you click 5000 times a match without a single issue, I was really hoping for a mouse that would have some longevity to it. Yeah i own 3 FK2 myself. I always buy a new one cause of this feeling on the left button after 1year of use. But damn 2 months and already this problem ?
@@vic51_ I thought it was more of a new item thing. My old ec2 of like 3 years solid use doesnt have it and my newer ec2 doesnt have it anymore either
Okay, so. I have had this mouse since release day, and I do not feel the " mouse 1 and 2 creaking " at all. It's clearly just a one off time. Sorry man.
me too
is it smart for me to bay it over the Glories Model O?
Great content as usual!
Could you please review the deathadder pro? I love the shape and thinking of getting it but I would love to hear your opinion!
I have
@@TheTechne oh shi- alright alright I'm going to look for your review
ive had mines since it first came out and i have 0 issues you've explained and idk who presses their clicks down that hard and pushes them right and left
Hey now u do know someone who does :)
Thanks for the honest review. Do you know if they are making revision to this at all?
just ordered this through logitech since they finally restocked. currently using a viper ultimate and it creaks just like you described on your g pro. its awful.
they restocked?
On your Viper, wherever the creak is, press down really hard on that area a few times. Very hard. Imagine you're a chiropractor and that creak is a back that needs to be cracked. Just kinda work the creak out with hard presses. Eliminated 99% of my creaking issues, no lie. This works to some degree on any optical switches.
@@tornas0322 it was only the black version but yeah not anymore lol
I was thinking of getting it but as a minecraft player button durability being a problem in any other game doesnt seem too great
Should I get this or the updated viper ultimate
Definitely this - the super light
this or O Wireless
@@TheTechne ok thanks
My scroll wheel is fucked already after 4 months. when i scroll down or up sometimes it just jams and does the opposite imput. fucking scam company
it's amazing how we're spending this much money on crunchy mice just for wireless. In 2020.
2021 bruh
It's not just for wireless, the reason it's this price is the engineering required to get the *weight* down.
@@WeiFinder the lower weight is pretty much just 20 dollars of the price seeing as the normal gpw got dropped down to only $130
I fully I agree with your review.
3 days to test durability..?
I personally have this mouse. Best mouse I’ve ever used hands down imo
What other mice have you used?

Love these real-world update type of reviews. Keep them coming - you know what I mean :)
Wait now I'm confused🤨
I only see one meaning in your comment, what do you mean with "You know what I mean"?👀👀
My copy doesn’t have that and I bought mine on launch day. I use at least 12 hours a day, (work/gaming) and have had none of those issues.. I would contact Logitech.
this or the viper ultimate wireless oof i cant tell which i want
Viper Mini ultimate, razer pls make it happen
@@jjuanwho why would u want shitty holes lmao
@Xavier Jones nope
But I would start with the superlight.
solid review. definitely gave me quite a bit of insight into potential things that may happen
''I own a Tesla model 3 by the way so i can speak on this'' Put some respekkk on his name

Love the reviews man. Would you recommend the regular g pro instead?
both are about the same, just weight diff. my buttons were more solid on my regular gpro

Just put it in a glass case.
Which do you think is a better deal, the Viper Ultimate for 100$ or Glorious Model O Wireless? And also I like a lot your reviews, you are always very honest in them
viper ultimate but look into the xenics titan gx air
It’s a wireless Zowie s2 with a 3370 sensor . Basically a upgraded Pwnage symmetrical but cheaper
I prefer O Wireless big time
@@TheTechne thanks a lot for the response, this will help me a lot on my decision

Надявам се и аз да нямам
I bought the superlight last 2 days , the stock feet is thicker than yours, a great review about your opnion.
It’s all fun and games till techne pulls up with the best reviewed items in a game of cod
I have the model O and it’s ok but no for my hand grip and I’m gonna give it a try to the superlight. And see what happens.
A difficult to do but fair comparison would be to see if those flaws were seen on other mice (in the +100$ range for example)
Now it might be that you had "a bad feeling while playing" so you dug into this, which is legitimate especially if never felt with other mice !
Like this video. He devoted his time just for this review.
will you make an update if they fix these flaws in a later model?
just got this mouse in today to upgrade from my 4 year old g502 and honestly, its so different but i definitely like the clicks and sidebutton positioning on the g502 a lot more. feels so much more crisp and the buttons feel so much more accessible to me on there. also i feel like the buttons are a little too light for me compared to the g502 and instantly started having accidental presses on the mouse2. but the shape and weight on the superlight is really refreshing. also i noticed it doesn't have sidescroll buttons but when i push the mousebutton to the right, it clicks the mousewheel but when i push it to the left, it doesn't have that. anyone else have that too? mouse1 and mouse2 just don't feel as tactile
502 and superlight are for different purposes imo.
about the problems with button 1 and 2, did the original G pro wireless have the same problem?

I tried your pressing on my copy, it doesn't creak. Could just be a difference in manufacturing. Side buttons aren't really mushy on mine, I don't have a problem with them.
yeah that's a stinker, I'm curious if its hit or miss with a good copy, or just extensive use
Unrelated but I'm loving my g305. I'm running a Lithium AAA with a converter.
SO... the viper ultimate still the king? or the glorious wireless wins? i don't think so...
NICE TECHNE! VERIFIED! i had this mouse, for a whole 45 minutes, drove back to best buy got my refund, returning to my mamba TE
I wonder why they didn't just make the top shell one continuous piece to eliminate the side to side shakiness
Lmao! I just ordered mine a couple days ago ... anyway, I'll see
I'm not saying it's junk, it's just sad at the price point
It's a good mouse, but just not worth it for the buck
I'll give it a shot, since this isn't the first batch hopefully some problems had been addressed

mine had the exact same issues with the left and right click moving around so much and had the same mushy feeling with the side buttons. the lightweight is nothing more than just a overhyped money grab from Logitech and i felt lucky to even get my full refund. In conclusion the G pro is still god tier of light mice.
wait, the g pro is good but not the superlight?
for me: feet arent that good. i hate the coating. not worth the price tag. On to you Techne. *edit* funny the first thing you said was what i said.
The feet have a long break in period.... at least 2 weeks

@@whereswaldo9089 I can agree with this on mine and heard the total opposite from others. Weird.
@@truthtimetv4575 I been hearing this as well I'm starting to suspect that it might just depend on certain mouse pads? But idontknow how that would be possible cause the feet are really paper thin and my mouse would always scrape on my pad?
So many good points being made in this video, really good takes. I've been using this mouse for a few months as well and the same stuff bugs me ...
2:53 LMAOO
This is a really helpful video. I just returned a Viper Ultimate because of a minor squeaky feeling and side to side travel of the buttons, but it was nowhere near as bad as the mouse in the video. Stuff like that is so noticeable in day to day gameplay and I really wouldn't risk getting something that is prone to those issues.
I was looking to the Superlight as a replacement, but after my OG Wired G Pro lasted for 5 years of ridiculously heavy playtime in games where you click 5000 times a match without a single issue, I was really hoping for a mouse that would have some longevity to it.
I guess the search continues.
If you like the viper ultimate shape but prefer the viper mini size, try out the Delux M800DB
did you find one?
@@AlexandraMarsella Right after i made this post, I got a standard GPW and I've been loving it. Initially had a squeaky button but I broke it in during the first week of use. Been loving it ever since.
