@@badseedtech I would disagree there since it would cause a situation where people ordering a Superlight wouldn't know if they're getting micro USB or USB-C until they receive it, prompting mass returns and also adding confusion to the used peripherals market. A slight name change was necessary to avoid all that chaos.
Definitely feels weird to call this a "2" but I cant argue with results. The Superlight is probably my most consistently used mouse ever and I would love for it the have USB-C. Not to say that I'll be upgrading, but at least its easy to recommend this one over the other one if someone is looking for a new mouse. (or if they wanna save money and get the cheaper first one LOL) Great vid - title say it all.
For me who never got the Superlight version of the original G Pro it's a great upgrade. I don't care about the 2000hz polling, or lack of huge upgrades. But they addressed the reason I stayed away. I'd hate to own it a year and have it get a double click issue. Now with the opticals, in theory, it can't. And yeah, type C is a godsend. I cannot describe how annoying it has been that my controller, phone, keyboard, and drawing pad can all use the same single cable. But then my mouse I have to go pull out a Micro B and cross my fingers it didn't break because I looked at it wrong. Having a single type C tucked away and ready to go will be amazing. I know I could have gone to another brand, but I like my Logitech. I just couldn't justify getting the OG Superlight and now I just might be able to justify this one.
I think I've gone through like 5 micro B cables for my current Logitech alone. The one that came with it helps it not break for sure. But when the cat chews that up and you have to use whatever you've got... well they are a fragile connector for sure.
Thank you for posting the clip of the mouse noise for each mouse comparison. I wish more mouse reviews had this. I go for the quietest click mouse for the sanity of the people around me.
I first came across your videos with the wooting 60HE review and modding videos, and I am really thankful for those videos as they are the main reason for why I am (eventually) ordering one. Thank you for being straight to the point and getting all the info across in a simple and understandable manner, including this one. Keep it up man, doing a great job
Just got my 60he. It sounds and feels better than any keyboard I've ever used. Never used a custom, but have used razer and other brands over the years. Wooting feels better and has actual features to care about. I want to mod it eventually, but I'm so impressed having this for a week now. It took an adjustment period to get used to rapid trigger and sensitive keys, but I keep getting more and more excited to use it, because every day I'm getting more used to it and it feels awesome.
For me i initially owned the g305 which i loved simply because it fit my hand perfectly so it felt seemless while gaming or doing work. After a while i broke it by mistake and moved on to buy the superlight. While it is an excellent mouse in quality and performance i learned the hard way that in the end shape is king, period. Doesn't matter if it's the best mouse in the world, if it doesn't fit right then it's not for you. It was a tad too big for my small hands so inevitably i gave it to my brother and......went back to the g305. Yes, from 130$ back to 35$ mouse. I wish logitech released a superlight mini, or made a variation of g305 but with integrated battery management of the superlight and same battery life per charge. There are a lot of competitive wireless mini mice out there but most of them are from smaller companies that operate primarily in the US. In Europe their products are not easy to find off the shelf and customer support is non-existent, even a replacement (RMA warranty) would have to come straight for the US which would mean import taxes and 20-30$ in shipping. Might as well buy a new mouse at that point.
Yep. But after going to a 20g mouse, I don't think that I'll be able to ever go back to any other, heavier mouse... It's really a game-changing experience.
100% agree that they should make a new version of g305 with maybe a better build quality, switches, etc and performance plus a lighter weight. I would definitely buy it since I've been using the g305 for more than a year and it feels comfortable in my hand with the "egg" shape that they have.
I also owned a g305 and do you possibly think that if you just used the mouse for a really long time you over time just came to think that its the best "shape" when it was just what you felt the most used to for a gaming mouse over time? and therefore if you gave more time using a new mouse and got used to that shape that it would become the best shape for you then? so i guess im asking if there raelly is a better shape
@@Ash-of1yl Nah i gave the superlight about 4 months of every day use for games and work, coping that i would eventually get used to the bigger shape but it never happened. I just kept getting cramps. Then went back to g305 and it fit like a glove. Before that i tested a few mice and still ended up with a viper mini, although all razer mice ended up with a problematic scroll wheel after a while (so not buying razer anymore). In the end i always go back to "mini" mice. Combined with what i wrote initially, most of the enthusiast mice are just not practical to buy outside of US so this just leaves 1-2 good options in the market and everything else becomes irrelevant unless you don't care about customer support. Again most of these reviewers live in US and they get priority treatment for defective stuff. We don't, we have to buy from amazon and they are not usually in stock for months, if ever. Then you gotta pray that you will never need an RMA. Even right now i use a "Glorious" mechanical keyboard and they don't even have a warehouse in EU. If something brakes i am screwed. The shipping fees alone would pay for another brand new keyboard. So us Europeans usually end up buying logitech, razer, corsair etc otherwise we get absolutely no support. This goes for mice as well.
honestly, after using the Pulsar X2 (moving from an Aerox 3 that I keep as my backup now, as the X2 can't do bluetooth wireless and I sometimes need it) for a few month, I fail to see how I could ver get a better mouse. Weight is good, bit higher latency is a non issue for me, shape is perfect, no holes, solid build, switches are nice and price is fair. Seeing mice going up the 150 bucks mark is kind of a hard thing to see. 5 years ago we wouldn't even have debated on this: this would have been a price no one should ever put in a mouse, yet it seems that 150 USD mouse are coming out every other week
Just bought a SL2 on Sunday. So far really liking it. I know the shape is a bit "safe" or "boring" but honestly as I have gotten older I kinda prefer my peripherals be able to blend into an office environment and still be able to play like professional equipment. I don't need a mouse that looks like a spaceship. I need a mouse that preforms well, is comfortable, and looks like a mouse.
Overall is the Superlight a nice mouse, but now had to send back the second G Pro Superlight. Had the problem with both that the reel has started to make itself independent at some point. Every time I scrolled down, he scrolled up a bit, which was very tiring in the long run. This must be improved in any case.
I use my g pro as a secondary mouse as i quite often forget to charge my main, so i charge it literally once every 1-2 months. I'm shocked everytime that my usb c cable doesnt fit lol
they did change a lot of things to justify calling it 2. they removed some plastic from the inside. changed almost all the electronics. However the final result is not all the different...perhaps the superlight was already very good.
I used the G pro & G pro X for years. My advise if go for a mouse that fits your aim style and hand profile. Don't copy the pros or target popular mice. I honestly regret using the G pro and GPX, even though they are amazing mice because I learned that I perform really well, with ergo mice. Incremental updates is pretty common for Logitech. They did similar stuff in the pass for popular models. There was the G9 to G9X. The G700 to G700s. The Mx510 to Mx518. G900 to G903
i guess its better, but when you can get normal superlight for 70-80 eur while this is 160 i don't really see it worth it more minimal sensor improvement only cause other like switches you can just replace, opticals arent big improvement only no double clicking ever...
Always my go to for whenever new tech arrives that interests me! very much appreciated! I doubt i'll get it, as its not much of an improvement. Maybe down the line when I need a new one, but as of right now, I don't see a reason for upgrade! Thanks
I’ve been thinking about switching from the OG Superlight to the Viper V2 pro. I’m sad that Logitech doesn’t include a USB C braided cable for $160. Not a dealbreaker but that’s so much money to then buy a braided USB-C for it. I picked up an OG Viper used for $10 to try the shape. I’ll see what to get next if I like it.
This is a good informative video with plenty of common sense - the hard data is were it's at. Now we just need the same for 1k an 4k polling rates lol. I still use 500hz
My apm test scores improved significantly when I started using the deathadder v3 faker edition with 4k dongle I went from very inconsistant scores to always scoring over 200 apm and best score 254 hit amazing sensor just wish it wasn't so loud.
Semi related but Asus OLED had pretty significant input lag issued that was subsequently fixed with a firmware update. Might wanna check that @BadSeed Tech
Being a CS player mainly: 400DPI and 80G are my sweet spot. I found my home in the SteelSeries Prime Wireless and i love che clicky magnetic switches...I wonder if the optical are as reliable and if I could have some benefit from a lighter mouse...
When will we get a G703 Superlight. I use an OG G Pro Wireless everyday and it's fine (aside from the battery life). The fact that they don't make an ergonomic Superlight is criminal.
So I have the super light I like it. My only complaint was with the microusb port. So am I going to upgrade? No. I have a powerplay mat and never use the port. So why the shade on the powerplay mat?
I had a g pro and broke the click on it Logitech immediately sent me another one without asking for proof of destruction or anything. Logitech g customer for life.
This data looks super wrong. Why is there such big difference between deathadder v3 pro and viper 2 pro? Why is viper mini 8k worse than both of them. And how is xtrfy mouse with best latency?
I know everyone is saying the clicks are heavy, but imo they can’t be worse than the mushy clicks on the original superlight. I would have preferred a light crispy click similar to that of the original g403 but that is probably more to do with that way the housing was made
I have Xtrfy MZ1 also known as Zy's Rail. I got the wired version after seeing you review of the wireless version and its by far my favourite mouse. The only thing I had to do was swap the cable as I was getting some disconnects
I'm using a G Pro Wireless and its my favorite gaming mouse. I'm gonna wait to see if the original superlight goes on a deep sale though. I know this sounds kinda dumb but that mouse in white is going to look really awesome with my vintage keyboards, and my CRT monitor.
@@TS-pq1uu Because today it is very possible that your Superlight 1 would be the only one using that damn cable. It really is a gamechanger to use the same cable for everything.
Nice, I actually have the Superlight OG queued up in my Amazon cart and haven't bought it yet, actually would be my second Superlight. Glad I waited to see this video. I guess I can still go both ways since the improvements aren't a huge jump and most likely won't affect my day to day experience. Might still get the OG one if I can get it at a discounted price.
MZ1 to Pulsar X2H sounds awesome, can't wait to hear your thoughts on that one soon. Would also be curious to know what you think about the Ninjutso Sora.
This is a sad revision to the superlight. Basically not worth getting. Also in your chart @1:57 the bottom logitech superlight 2 chart shouldn't have the '2'?
I have never been a fan of the Gpro shape, I have been using a g703 for so long (sadly the left click is starting to die) because nothing can beat its shape for me (not even the deathadder v3 feels right). If they made a g703 superlight I'd be happy
You would think Logitech would be on that since it was a popular mouse and they would only need to transfer internals and do so small engineering on the weight balance
Does this mouse have motion sync ? there is no need for 4k polling rate. the battery life on 4k is empty within 1 day. the 2k and 95 hours of the superlight 2 is perfect.
I am very keen on the Pro X review, what mods would you do to it to change your mind? Also Randoom but whats the mousepad on the gaming setup? Or is there a tour vid up on that setup?
I like everything but the switches. They use the same Omron optical-mechanical switches from tge g502 X. It's not bad. It's just there's no other option to replace it with.
Have had my PG27AQDM for about 1.5 months now with heavy daily usage and regular pixel cleanings and it just started showing some screen retention and a couple deal pixels. I can feel the burn in coming 😅
that sound sad. i have the same monitor. I used pixel cleaning maybe only 10 times. How do the burn in came? how long does something need to stay on the screen to become burn in?
@@progangster24 not sure how it happened, I never rant into any issues with lots of gaming and working on it for 8+ hours daily. But I have been playing starfield for the last 5 days and I didn’t get burn in but screen retention, so it fades away but im just getting a little concerned now
Only way I'm buying it is if spare switches become available, I'm not dealing with optical mush 1 year into my ownership of the mouse. I like to use my mice for 3+ years and not throw them away once they start to wear out.
One small thing i find about logitech wireless mice is that they have no capability to be used in wired mode. In many other wireless mice, if you turn the wireless mode switch off and plug it into your PC via USB it still works as a wired mouse so you can use the mouse as it's being charged. Logitech wireless mice simply cease to function entirely if you turn off the switch
I have the Superlight and loved the shape and switches but absolutely hated the side buttons. They're not prominent enough and are too far forward. To use them in-game for Discord voice chat or swapping weapons would require me to alter my grip and ruin my aim. They're not comfortable at all. Everything else is great.
@badseedtech I own a pg27aqdm, you got me thinking about getting the aqn instead, why do you think you play better with it instead of the aqdm? Do consoles also display fine on the aqn?
do u know if u can connect it to a ps4? ive been wondering for a while and i havent gotten a reply from anywhere i've asked so if u could test it and tell me id very much appreciate it❤
I strongly advise you to make a review on Darmoshark M3s Varun, this mouse just blew my mind, such a cool device, but for such a price it is almost impossible to find. And yes, this mouse also offers a top sensor + 2000hz out of the box.
The ONLY thing missing from the mouse industry is a good hybrid. Currently you either have to pick a super-light with NO binds whatsoever, or a 100g+ mmo mouse if you want more buttons. Trying the aerox 5 wireless as its a decent middle ground but dont love the cutout design. We need 60-75g lightweight FPS mice with scroll tilt and 1-2 extra side buttons! PLEASE FPS PLAYERS LIKE BINDS TOO PLEASE SOMEBODY LMAO
I can never justify the price on a superlight when the new razer offerings are right there. Are you gonna be looking at that new Akko Magnetic switch keyboard?
@Joao_M come on lmao. Don't put Durability and Logitech in the same sentence. For the last few years now Logitech mice have been notorious for double clicking issues because of them switching from Japanese Omron to Chinese Omron switches.
@Joao_M I agree, I'm hopeful these switches don't have any issues. That being said, these are still too much($246 CDN after taxes) Ive had my Lamzu Atlantis for almost a year now with 0 issues from it for and it was always about $100 less then a GPX
Funny. I just bought the G Pro X 4 days ago. I'd rather not switch though. USB C and 5ms less latency isn't game changing enough for me to buy the Superlight 2, especially since it's much more expensive than what I paid for the G Pro X.
Very informative video, told me what I needed to know. This iteration feels like a lazy update and as someone who owned the gpx I probably won't be getting this one any time soon. Also loving the x2h shape rn!
XM2We has been my main. Amazing build quality, shape is great, optical switch, great battery. Only downside is 3370 sensor and no 2k hz but I don't really care about that.
The way Logitech handled the G Pro X Superlight 2 is basically the same as what Blizzard did with Overwatch 2. Make very minimal changes but add the number 2 to the name
the changes should deserve more of a "shadow" update rather than having a 2 in the name that implies significant changes of a predecessor
100% this
Still better than Overwatch 2
I like the way you worded that. Maybe that’s why they didn’t bother to update the print on the shell.

Your graphic at 1:55 is incorrect. You have the classic labeled as Superlight 2. there are 2 Superlight 2 on the graphic
i guess its better, but when you can get normal superlight for 70-80 eur while this is 160 i don't really see it worth it more minimal sensor improvement only cause other like switches you can just replace, opticals arent big improvement only no double clicking ever...
Always my go to for whenever new tech arrives that interests me! very much appreciated! I doubt i'll get it, as its not much of an improvement. Maybe down the line when I need a new one, but as of right now, I don't see a reason for upgrade! Thanks
1:54 typo for twice the Superlight 2 in there
I’ve been thinking about switching from the OG Superlight to the Viper V2 pro. I’m sad that Logitech doesn’t include a USB C braided cable for $160. Not a dealbreaker but that’s so much money to then buy a braided USB-C for it.
I picked up an OG Viper used for $10 to try the shape. I’ll see what to get next if I like it.
I did not like the viper LOL
Trying to decide between this or Vaxee. Any opinions?
This is a good informative video with plenty of common sense - the hard data is were it's at. Now we just need the same for 1k an 4k polling rates lol.
I still use 500hz
Love your reviews man! I have the gen 1 superlight but I can honestly say that I have been loving my razer deathadder v3 pro faker edition a lot.
1:56 I think the old superlight is still written as a superlight 2
My apm test scores improved significantly when I started using the deathadder v3 faker edition with 4k dongle I went from very inconsistant scores to always scoring over 200 apm and best score 254 hit amazing sensor just wish it wasn't so loud.
Semi related but Asus OLED had pretty significant input lag issued that was subsequently fixed with a firmware update. Might wanna check that @BadSeed Tech
i have the first g pro and can count on 1 hand how many times ive even used a cable on it thanks to the charging mousepad they sell.
Being a CS player mainly: 400DPI and 80G are my sweet spot. I found my home in the SteelSeries Prime Wireless and i love che clicky magnetic switches...I wonder if the optical are as reliable and if I could have some benefit from a lighter mouse...
Xtrfy MZ1 is a under radar champion, that more people should try!
Great vid…. I’ve been shopping around for a new mouse…. So much to sort out… so hard to pick a new mouse when you haven’t felt most of them.
Loved the DPing your dongle, made me chuckle
I don’t understand, why do people care so much about USB-C?
@@TS-pq1uu Because today it is very possible that your Superlight 1 would be the only one using that damn cable. It really is a gamechanger to use the same cable for everything.
Nice, I actually have the Superlight OG queued up in my Amazon cart and haven't bought it yet, actually would be my second Superlight. Glad I waited to see this video. I guess I can still go both ways since the improvements aren't a huge jump and most likely won't affect my day to day experience. Might still get the OG one if I can get it at a discounted price.
bro you here i remember you from the k65 modding video
Usb-C itself is huge
MZ1 to Pulsar X2H sounds awesome, can't wait to hear your thoughts on that one soon. Would also be curious to know what you think about the Ninjutso Sora.
Would like to know too
The Pulsar X2 V2 clicks have a similar sound, now i am interested in how the new Superlight feels but do prefer the Pulsar shape a bit more
This is a sad revision to the superlight. Basically not worth getting.
Also in your chart @1:57 the bottom logitech superlight 2 chart shouldn't have the '2'?
That "DP your dongle" line sent me🤣
@1:54 you put the Superlight 2 on there twice instead of the first Superlight.
Nice refresh but we need a ergo superlight from logi.... like the 703 superlight or smt
Does this mouse have motion sync ?
there is no need for 4k polling rate. the battery life on 4k is empty within 1 day. the 2k and 95 hours of the superlight 2 is perfect.
im wondering if the side buttons are more durable, i use them often and the side buttons on my superlight gave out and caved in
I am very keen on the Pro X review, what mods would you do to it to change your mind? Also Randoom but whats the mousepad on the gaming setup? Or is there a tour vid up on that setup?
do the buttons have post travel? and do they shift left and right under ur finger if u apply pressure?
Good to know the update isn’t really too big of a change personally I don’t care about switching to type C or a 3 gram difference
Still waiting for the mini version of the G PRO
I finally caved in to the Pro X and now there's a new refresh after I just got the old one 😭
Superlight 2 vs ROG harpe ACE, who winnin?
But I have been playing starfield for the last 5 days and I didn’t get burn in but screen retention, so it fades away but im just getting a little concerned now
I think you mean that the new super light beats the old one by 0.05 ('point zero five') ms, not 0.5 ('point five')
Can't wait to see you review on the X2H!
Only way I'm buying it is if spare switches become available, I'm not dealing with optical mush 1 year into my ownership of the mouse. I like to use my mice for 3+ years and not throw them away once they start to wear out.
How come "baffelling continued support of the powerplay mat"?
The powerplay mat is amazing, I hope they don't drop support for it...
One small thing i find about logitech wireless mice is that they have no capability to be used in wired mode. In many other wireless mice, if you turn the wireless mode switch off and plug it into your PC via USB it still works as a wired mouse so you can use the mouse as it's being charged. Logitech wireless mice simply cease to function entirely if you turn off the switch
my gpro keeps working when charging and the dongle is unplugged
hopefully they fixed the issue with the scroll wheel jumping with this mouse..
Do consoles also display fine on the aqn?
im assuming u r making a review on the finalmouse ultralightx when you have it? Did reviewers not get them earlier ....?
Nah we didn’t them early. They almost always fulfill customers before they send reviewer units out.
lame, would love to see a review on that@@badseedtech
what extra large desk mat is on the desk (grayish one )
do u know if u can connect it to a ps4? ive been wondering for a while and i havent gotten a reply from anywhere i've asked so if u could test it and tell me id very much appreciate it❤
I strongly advise you to make a review on Darmoshark M3s Varun, this mouse just blew my mind, such a cool device, but for such a price it is almost impossible to find.
I wish they made the side buttons a bit lower
I can never justify the price on a superlight when the new razer offerings are right there. Are you gonna be looking at that new Akko Magnetic switch keyboard?
The price point is insane to me when options like the Pulsar X2, Lamzu Atlantis, Vaxee XE, etc are like half the price any way better
@Joao_M come on lmao. Don't put Durability and Logitech in the same sentence. For the last few years now Logitech mice have been notorious for double clicking issues because of them switching from Japanese Omron to Chinese Omron switches.
@Joao_M G Pro X use Omrons...they recently just switches to this Mechanical/Optical hybrid.
@Joao_M I agree, I'm hopeful these switches don't have any issues. That being said, these are still too much($246 CDN after taxes) Ive had my Lamzu Atlantis for almost a year now with 0 issues from it for and it was always about $100 less then a GPX
Just ordered my second xm2we, no regret
What is your opinion on this versus the Deathadder V3 Pro?
Funny. I just bought the G Pro X 4 days ago. I'd rather not switch though. USB C and 5ms less latency isn't game changing enough for me to buy the Superlight 2, especially since it's much more expensive than what I paid for the G Pro X.
When do we get a review on the X2H?
What sorcery is going on inside the MZ1 to make it have the lowest latency?
Very informative video, told me what I needed to know. This iteration feels like a lazy update and as someone who owned the gpx I probably won't be getting this one any time soon. Also loving the x2h shape rn!
i love this mouse but its so small for my hands, teh deathadder v2 pro fits larger hands perfectly
Will you review the new wireless keyboard of this line-up as well?
Can we have a comparison of the super light 2 and the Deathadder v3 pro
Did they implement motion sync?
Sadly, I'm not surprised by Logitech at all. I've been looking for a new main mouse anyway. That pulsar looks pretty nice, will have to check it out.
XM2We has been my main. Amazing build quality, shape is great, optical switch, great battery. Only downside is 3370 sensor and no 2k hz but I don't really care about that.
@@__vha I gave up on them tbh. they keep popping out new nice but still no xm2w.
Is there spin out issues with the new sensor?
The way Logitech handled the G Pro X Superlight 2 is basically the same as what Blizzard did with Overwatch 2. Make very minimal changes but add the number 2 to the name
So it’s just a superlight with usb-c and slightly differently shaped feets ?
