Had a few pin holes in my pontoons I fix them with rivets and apply the harbor, freight bed liner paint. Thanks for the videos . So far so good, holding strong on the pontoons.
I did the same thing after watching your videos. Sanded the bottom of the hull from the front to half way and sprayed it with truck bedliner coating to seal the rivets, seams and to give it protection from rocks and other stuff. Just waiting for it to cure before I take it out but I'm happy with it. Thank you man you deserve all the credit. Wish I can send a pic of the before and after.
Thankyou for taking the time to share your videos, they help in my decision to do this to the bottom of my 14ft flat bottom boat. I used all the advice you giving for preparing the surface and used all harbor freight Spray bed liner and it looks great. I'm looking forward to many more years of service out of this boat because of this process!
would Luv to see your next application to fix this... I wonder if a Tape only on the keel might help? I would add her folks that you should not apply KEEL GUARD to a Riveted boat so this is an excellent alternative. A+
If you have a minute to spare I have a few questions, My thought 1st would be drag with water, 2nd I have seen prior video boat also on trailer, What Prep work? if any. Do not misunderstand I am liking it considering getting 2 gallons and getting started, I know several coats done How thick did you go? Any thoughts as to thicker application at front(due to roller damage)? any input thanks
HillbillyMatt ExtremeDIY I have an underpowered boat to begin with. If anyone was going to notice a lack of speed it would be me. The boat performance was not affected by this addition.
Be quiet and fish badass. all the armchair boat scientists say you will just sit there burning up your motor. I feel like it could possibly act like shark skin and make you faster...and also prevent marine fowling.

Be quiet and fish thanks for the response. this stuff is definately going on my sailboat hull.
HillbillyMatt ExtremeDIY I was careful to only cover sections that would be out of the water when the boat was on plane.
If it is applied right it will be just as smooth as bottom paint. Make a plan before hand because this stuff will last and doesn't come off easy.
Did this help prevent hull slap at all?
thanks for sharing
