    I bought a m45 with a misfire code. Ended up replacing all plugs with ngk laser plat and all coil packs. Found a loose champion plug and broken coil pack on one of the cylinder. Those plugs come pre gapped but would double check them.

      Derick K hopefully you fixed your issue! And yes you should always check the gap after purchasing

    I have a p302 cylinder 2 misfire code but only a slight pop audible from the exhaust at idle car still runs fine and has power. I have swapped the coil pack and spark plug between cylinders 2 and 4 and the code stayed on cylinder 2. Is this more likely to be the intake gasket or injector? I only use 91 octane Mobil gas and the check engine light never blinks only comes on after a few days of driving.

    If they are already pre gapped why do you need to gap them? You mean double check to see if they’re gapped?

    • @uliperezsatx
      @uliperezsatx  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      KiiDKali yes double check the Manufactuer pre gap...I have gotten multiple times that were not correctly gapped

      Jor arr did you change all spark plugs and coils? If yes, then double check your work that everything is plugged correctly and everything is screwed down tight. With the Car turned on, unplug each coil and if the engine hesitated immediately that means that coil and spark is good. Make sure to do that to all of them. If you unplug one and their is NO change in engine rpm/hesitation change that spark plug and coil that mean that’s the bad one. If all that don’t work in a dark garage or night time spray a mist of water over your wires and if you see electricity from an area you have a grounding issue. You have an open cut wire

    I'm having a p1078 code on my car and it died on me today auto zone told me it was the Exhaust valve timing position sensor (Bank) 1 do you know where that sensor is located????

      @uliperezsatx  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Abel3270 p1078 exhaust valve timing control position sensor (bank 1) google picture for a more specific location (looking at front of engine on left side by intake should have a connector to it with signal to ecm)

      I replaced spark plugs "NGK" correctly and all of the Coil packs. It started doing the same thing after a month.

    • @uliperezsatx
      @uliperezsatx  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Derail07 are your rpm’s fluctuating? Do you have loss of power? Try to unplug coils and see if vehicle stumbles one at a time... is everything plugged back together correctly... have you done a timing job on your whip lately or tensioner , this could be a lot of things is it hard to start at times , loss of compression leak.... how many miles... the list goes on bud

    • @Derail07
      @Derail07 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep loss of power, rough idol, defiantly a cylinder I think its oil... I found a bit of oil in number 1 cylinder so it could be the tube seal gasket leak and its killing the ignition... Thanks for your help.

    P1078 and P1084 any solution for it ??

    • @uliperezsatx
      @uliperezsatx  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rafael Gonzalez best bet would be to ask in forums or do a bit of research on those codes.. I would start there. Usually you fix one item and the other code shuts off..
