- NISSAN 350Z or INFINITI G35 - How to Stop Car Hesitation (Spark Plugs and Ignition Coil). If Spark and coils are good Check Your CAMSHAFT SENSOR* that could be another main issue. if that doesnt work then it could be the injectors.

Thank you! I ended up buying a 350Z that didn’t run a come to find out the mechanics they took it to when it had a bad coil pack swapped four and six. While searching this issue up, you are the only person to mention the four and six coil pack plug swap.
Replace the valve covers and gaskets to fix the oil leaking on the plugs
I stopped last week and filled up with 91 fuel. The car didn’t want to start and had a rough idle and sounds like an old ass Ford ranger now. My first thought was bad gas. So I swung into a mechanic, he told me to change the spark plugs and coils. The idle is better but still sounds awful.
Are u still getting a misfire code ? or at least does it feel like it’s misfiring ?
Whats all that gunk around the plug 3:27
I have a 2007 m45 infiniti , I have a p0300 random misfire. But I have replaced spark plugs and ignition coils seem to be fine
did u have any oil on spark plugs ? if u didn’t, check your camshaft sensor those usually go bad on these cars.
Did he say “change them every 5000 miles?”
If you’re experiencing either a rough idle/ misfiring/ or a burning oil smell, it could be the valve cover gasket being cracked or blown. I hear that if you force certain bolts on too tight it will cause it to crack. Thats what gets oil into the sparkplugs/ignition coils. Im actually about to change my valve cover gasket soon to see if it fixes this. I’ll update here too
Update:
I changed my valve cover gaskets, check engine light was gone, regular idle was back. Make sure you have a torque wrench when you put the valve cover back on so the gasket wont blow again
So valve cover ?
@@kevovq3727 yes, change your ignition coils too, if it still doesn’t work, might be a vacuum leak, which may be a harder/more expensive fox
Would this show up on a code reader ?
@@sergiovictoria7417bro what codes were popping for you?
I need help with my car I have multiple mis fires and I have a very bad burning oil smell when the car is on and sometimes rpm boost up/Car jumps even on cruise control too and car shakes any ideas to fix this on a 2006 g35x
pull out the spark plugs, if they have oil around them that could cause it. If that’s the case u need new valve cover gaskets.
Is it better to have one intake rather then two? My engine has the two stock
that means u have The HR version of the engine so yeah that engine u have is better and burns less oil as well as of what i heard.
Just changed the spark plugs, valve cover gaskets and knock sensor and it started misfiring. Only p0300 tho and was running smooth before the repairs
Literally same shit happened to me😭😭😭
Wiring or fuel lines
I have a p0300 Random misfire on my G35 2003 it keeps turning off anyone can help ?
Same & Same. Ever fix it?
what if my car doesnt start up at all, the key turns over but the car keeps sputtering and not turning on
check your crank and cam shaft sensor they go bad on these cars. If u did already must be other a more in depth issue of the engine
I just bought this g35 coupe a couple weeks ago I haven’t had time to work on it has a code p0300 and smells heavy like gas any one here had experience the same issue ?
check your sparks, isn't igniting the gas properly
J got mine back from the shop. I got a new engine with 67miles. Runs good but idles rough and backfires a lot when driving. Giving me p0300 code. Cel light starts to blink when driving. Put new o2 sensors helped a bit but still same problem. When throttling very little the car starts to shake or putter a lot but when I push through it, it goes away. Could it be fuel issue? Should I replace the valve covers?
When I got the new engine back, the coil packs were numbered, and I noticed that the odds were on the driver side and the even on the passenger side. And everywhere I’ve looked, It says it’s supposed to be the other way around. so I switched them and still no change. don’t think it’s the coil packs. Should I buy one of those spacer things to make sure my spark plugs are correctly gapped? When I took off coil pack one I saw a little drop of water.
@@daaafoo8857 have u checked your camshaft sensor ?? they go bad on these cars too
If u checked that already, make sure the plugs that connect to the coil pack aren’t mixed up because if the mechanic didn’t keep track of them and just connected without making sure that could cause a misfire since the timing isn’t correct
It’s your ignition coils bro when I got my car back after engine swap I had the same thing happen to me after the I replace them it ran good
My car is driving. Weird misfiring. When I start going and the rpm’s gets up it will jump/misfire/rpms will drop them go up. Is it the same problem as yours ?
It sorta did that not as much tho, i would see the rpm’s drop when accelerating and come back up but not so much jumping
Same also mine had a very bad burning oil smell did yours too and did you ever fix it? I’m having these problems on my 06 g35x
I got new spark plugs & coil packs & new valve covers gaskets & new cam sensor everything Oem still popping up p0300 code any suggestions motor only got 100k miles on mines
did you figure it out?
@@breezy_2522 nope my code reader still saying I got multiple misfires going on but my car running normal doe it might be my ecu going bad on something I need help asap somebody guide me
Ive had a friend have that same issue, turned out that his ecu was going bad. i would check that out. he had to go to a specialist with a better scanner to get it diagnosed
You should wash your engine as well
I change my spark plugs and solenoid
Which solenoid?
i have the same code on my z changed sparks/coils it worked for abt a week then it went right back to shit. put fuel treatment in it worked until tank was empty then back to shit. tired it again 2 weeks later just to see for myself if it would clear through (it did till tank was empty) just checked injectors and the stream was fine. do you have any idea on what it could be? Don't want to dump money in for it to not work nor do i want to bring to shop to spend double the money on what could just be a simple fix. as well as pulled fuel pump apart (wasnt really dirty at all) but it ran normal again with full power for abt 20 mins. any help would be great. -thanks
So first question, What kind of coils did u buy? Second if theres any oil like i had make sure coils and sparks are clean from any liquid. If that's not the case try the camshaft sensor, Typically they go bad in these cars. Let me know if that helped! Make sure the coils and sparks aren't a cheap brand because that could be the reason as well
Replaced all sparks (Z1) and coils along with cams and crank. Still misfiring. If you find out what the issue is please let me know
Did you fix it bro
@@someyounggamer Do u have new or clean injectors ?
...check or replace your Mass Air Flow sensor. If it's bad, it would cause a misfire with a P0300 code.
My G35 has this issue. changed spark plugs, still back with check engine light on.
Very rough idle and while in gear. Going to check for exhaust and intake leaks and if nothing obvious then Ill take it into the shop.
Did you figure it out bro my does the same
@@patrixkbrown5427 having the same issue
My 06 g35 coupe has the service engine soon light on and often I get a rough idle on start. Had the value gasket cover and spark plugs changed a while back but that didn't fix it. My mechanic said it was a cylinder misfire. I took it to Autozone and ran the code and they confirmed what my mechanic said. I'm going to try and change the ignition coil on the cylinder to see if that works. Maybe check your ignition coils as well.
@@dplunk13 try the coil packs. I did mine and it worked. Might as well do them all at once. Can get them cheap on rockauto, get the Hitachi ones. I'd do them every 80k miles

You ever address the oil inside the spark plug cylinder?
yes lmk if u want a video on how to fix that ! Valve cover issue
My car still has the misfire after all of this
Seem to do the trick
How do I tell what’s wrong with it
u have misfire issues ?
or what does your car do?
@@vqgang3575 I just got this code today. When idle, the car kinda shakes/rumbles. Could it just be the spark plugs or a whole new engine vvt solenoid part? Thanks.
@@bear2savage974 Most likely it’s your ignition coils bro, change those out and at the same time make sure u check your spark plugs to see if they in good condition. If they not make sure u change those out too
@@vqgang3575 Good looks fam. Took it to AutoZone and code p0300 came up. They said a new engine vvt solenoid part bank 1?? I got a 07 G35 Coupe🤙🏼
Dude by the looks of your spark plugs you ain't done no maintenance to your car, probably since you got it.. 🤦
Yeah it was a new engine, when purchased so it had new sparks and everything
Injector you mean coils.
yup
My car is at the shop still because of this code misfires p0300 p0302 p0304 and p0304 😢 still 2 days and the shop still not figure it out yet.. today is 3rd day at the shop.. gonna be a long one guys wish me luck that my local shop finds the issue !
Means cylinder 2 and 4 are misfiring Maybe your coil is bad or the wiring harness? Try asking the shop to test the wires if they haven’t already
Mine had the same code, took it to the shop and they diagnosed it as low oil. Was down 1 1/2 quarts. These cars burn oil fast due to bad piston rings.
If the oil pressure is low, it can cause poor valve timing and misfiring. Check your dip sticks before you start throwing money at it. Hopefully you guys will get lucky and it's something simple.
Update: Issue came back. It was the coil packs. Changed them all with hitachi ones from rockauto for about $180 total. Car runs perfect again
@@robertm5969 yo thanks for the update! I'm suspecting valve covers as I found oil in the diver side cyl 3.
i got new coils new plugs new injectors new throttle and still random misfire 😓 help
