If you'd like to see more videos on Jewish history during the Christian Rome period or later do let me know!

I would definitely like to see more of these videos! As a Jewish-born Pagan, it is very unfortunate to see my co-religionists absolutely misunderstanding or even demonizing my kin without much knowledge of them. Thank you, as always, for your important work.
Also, I didn't get a notification for that video. Weird algorithm... You're a treasure on this platform! Keep up the good work!

This is my second video from this channel, i just discovered it this afternoon and wow what a ride! Very informative and entertaining. The topic of the social relations between christians and pagans during late roman period interest me a lot and is not very well covered elsewhere, thank you for doing this!

No problem - glad you liked the videos! Love the subject myself. Just finishing a video on Julian's last battle and his interaction with the Christians at Antioch which might interest you. Out soon!

This reminds me of the 'children's crusade' in the 13th century. Also a tragic story.

Thx for watching! Yes there are parallels. And of course, we have movements like the Heaven's Gate suicide cult or Jonestown etc where gullible folk exhibit similar blind faith in a spiritual leader to the point of death

Must agree. Charismatic preachers attracting gullible folks is an issue to this very day.

@@FlaviusClaudiusJulianus361 Flavius Josephus too! ' By his Alexandrian wife Josephus had three sons : one only, Hyrcanus, lived to maturity. Dissatisfied with his wife's conduct, he divorced her likewise, and married a Cretan woman, from a Jewish family, of the first rank and opulence in the island, and of admirable virtue.'

The problem was that Jews had missed Jesus warning about false prophets as they did not believe in him. So lack of faith in the Messiah caused the problem. Also, they would have known that that guy could not be the Messiah as Jesus already was.
