Honestly alot of the RNG in this one made it more enjoyable to stealth than alot of other stealth missions. It was essentially like a standard bank, except you had RNG elements to work with, so it was possible to essentially lock down the bank proper, instead of having to constantly avoid guards walking up stairs backwards or walking through walls (shit that still happens on shadow raid...)
I never liked how this heist had a possibility for stealth to fail even if you played perfectly. There's a chance that one of the random events *will* go poorly and *will* cause the alarm to go off.
Damn haven't played this heist in ages, but it used to be my favorite because of the RNG events and lots of interactions, but I always hated the blackmailer. Nice of you to find a way to outsmart this bastard haha 😅
I have played payday 2 for about 1500 hours and I didn't even know there was a blackmail event. Now I basically never stealth go bank cause I find it a boring heist but still 🙃
You know it would've been a better idea for the devs to make Bain try to "pinpoint his location" and after 7 mins they could just spawn an NPC for you to deal with.

The blackmailer is probably one of the only things I use RNGmod for outside of messing around, he has a low chance but he’s also quite annoying. The blackmailer didn’t think through that the heisters probably have explosive powered shotguns with force to push the bags Also, TUESDAY UPLOAD⁉️
I never actually got the blackmailer, But I have gotten the open vault twice, which is how I got 2 of my 3 DSOD completion. I think it is an excellent heist and would love to see a heist similar to it in Payday 3 where you take over a bank.
I feel like it would've been possible to throw the one while over the escape since the escape did light up for a decent chunk of time. of course though it'd have to be on the first throw and not fail each time
If the Payday gang were smart enough: Step 1: Bring a drone Step 2: Bring AP Step 3: Position the drone overlooking his position Step 4: Triangulate his position with use of the drone and aim your AP towards him Step 5: Pull the trigger & you're done
Taking all hostages we can into the bank, and HE-ing all money bags as close to the sewer entrance as possible while one heister does the first one should be enough to secure all bags even loud. While soloing, placing trip mines in the sewer should be also enough to ensure success, regardless of if having bots or not. Checkmate blackmailer :b
That would be an interesting way to play it! However, there's no way to know ahead of time which sewer entrance is going to be chosen, so you might want to split your bags equally across the different entrances, or stack them at the midpoint between all the entrances :D
He's the type of guy to not want loose ends, so he would send someone to kill him. But at the same time, he might consider the blackmailer a civil and not want him killed
Easy crime spree heist with a 4-man crew, buy extra deployables with full ECM upgrades and you can simply waltz out before your six minutes + PECMs run out
Would've been cool if afterwards there was a special extra mission you had to do to get that bag back afterwards that only happens on this special event.

You get an achievement for going out of your way to detonate a parking ticket machine to get 7 dollars from it in the alesso heist as revenge for the 'highway robbery' in hoxton breakout. The payday gang may not care too much about the money, but spiteful payback is their bread and butter; the blackmailer is almost certainly in a bag somewhere in the ocean. I'm just hoping payday 3 elaborates a little more on the matter.
kinda wish you would keep the money and XP from the bag but a single body worth of cleanup fee is added to imply the blackmailer was killed and the bag reclaimed off-screen or something simple and easy to add like that. could even have it say "hiding blackmailer's body" to make it explicit
Hey Strider! It would kinda work, but only for 1 bag, same as shown for the solo example at 3:50 (alarm would go off immediately, but you would have time to secure 1, and enable the escape).
What if you are inside the van when you pick up the bag? Like throw the bags far back then get I to the van and pick them up, or is it still gonna trigger?
Interesting question! I have never tried because body bags are too heavy to go over the fence, but there are some tricks to get extra distance on those throws. Next time I get the blackmailer, I will give him a body bag instead, and see what happens :D
It's a lot more polished currently, and it has so much more content! Hopefully the devs listen to the community feedback, because they have a lot to fix in PAYDAY 3...
Yup, this is one of the earlier heists that never made it to console :( On the bright side the devs are behaving a lot better with PAYDAY 3 crossplay, but that still doesn't make up for this...

i rarely play this map thanks to the off map civs，it will occupy 1 member or 2 with saw to hopefully suppress them long enuf for the heist to complete

I think him being okay with you not paying him is too convenient. Giving him the bag should be what causes him to act.
