when it comes to trashing on games, make shit up, but when the games that suffer from the same issues put money in your pocket NOW it's a different story. sureee
Ironic that War Thunder, a game known for being extremely inconsistent, unbalanced, usually not very fun and extremely grindy is sponsoring a video about Payday 3.
there's this TH-camr named Dark Space who's known for making GTA content and he did one video titled "The Problem With GTA Online (Monetization)" or something like that, right? And his segway into the sponsor of the video was "But you know who respects their players' time and money? War Thunder, today's sponsor!" and it was absolutely horrible. The comments were riddled with people calling him for critiquing GTA5's Shark Cards while turning out to defend War Thunder's Gold and Premium system. TH-camr's just aren't trustworthy these days.
Honestly I think what really killed payday 3 was the complete unplayable state it was in for the first two weeks the game was out. A lot of people that just wanted to try the game couldn't so they just moved onto the next thing
Payday 3 is not killed, there are actually quite a lot of people playing but you can't just look at steam chart. And the number 1 thing that lowered it's interest and fun factor was no voice-chat and it's still missing. When that arrives soon in the upcoming patches I think this game will take off but not before that.
@@messiahshow Almost a year and no voice chat? Are they for real? And where should we look since steam is the most popular online store? This isn't an MMO where most people use the company's own launcher.
@@lucasLSD Starbreeze have said the game is played most on PS5 but it is also on xbox and gamepass, epic store and Geforce Now so more platforms to account for to get a real number of players playing. In October server browser and Voice-chat will be implemented.
I tried to play it when it first came out last year and could never join a game so I said screw it and uninstalled. I have not tried to play since then because I got back into payday 2 this month and am loving it again. Payday 3 just sits in my steam library.
@@lucasLSD No need to look it's crossplay, quickplay will look for players on all platforms. Voice-chat and server browser/crimenet will come in the October update.
The whole, here’s a closed beta test, it’s a 4 month old build… players giving feedback and helpful advice to improve the game… about 2-4 months later, here’s the exact same beta with no improvements on the same build but now a public test…. Players doubling down on the issues and feedback, game comes out and almost non of the issues were fixed or worked on, as all the beta did was tease a broken product that never got fixed with all the feedback and reports given….
From what I can tell, they were really worried on stress testing servers and doing maintenance on online so it wouldn’t shit the bed on launch. In the end it didn’t even matter since that’s exactly what happened.
@@asianpablo1574 As a closed beta tester public beta tester and player of payday3, it’s very obvious how little they care about their own product. ( yes there improving it ) but like there not changing the product that is boring.
@@Steampunkzter I understand what you’re saying, but they got a shit ton of other problems they’re trying to address atm. I think the gold pass promise is really screwing them on having to finish the rest of the dlc by September before they can address core problems with the game.
Disbanding lobbies increased matchmaking times and removed that feeling of comradery you'd get with a good team. Simple as that. The gameplay itself was fundamentally fine imo.
to even make such a stupid decision is beyond me. enough of an argument not to buy terrible games if they cant even get basic positive things like that right. game studios are just lazy and stupid nowadays, instead of innovating they just follow trends and are greedy for our money.
What do you mean 'was'? PD3 is far from dead. You have 2000-3000 online players at peak hours. It's just that many of those come from console, so all you need to do is punch on crossplay and you'll easily find lobbies. Of course crossplay means that most people won't communicate with you apart from emotes because console players rarely do type. But Voice is coming, along with a complete overhaul of how armor works. Progression has already been fixed. Server issues have become exceedingly rare since the servers are no longer completely overrun like they were on release, not to mention better netcode implemented now and you have the option to party up after a heist if you're playing with randoms to keep the team going. And if you really want to you can even host heists locally now in solo mode (tho you still have to be online to keep connection with nebula) You can even still get into games with fresh lv1 players on normal, tho that's a little rare nowadays. Also, out of the 14, soon to be 15 different heists today, pretty much all are still played apart from the loud-only one on the bridge, but that one is boring af anyway. Will we ever get people off from PD2? No, because they have sunk way too much time and funds into that game to switch to PD3 (not to mention PD3 is basically a whole different game mechanically, too much has changed that og heisters don't like much) but let's be real here: That was never gonna happen in the first place and we all knew it. Will we ever have the 15k+ players of PD2? No, not even close! But do we need that many players for a 4-player game to remain viable? Also no. Does the game still have problems? Yes. But the fixes and improvements keep coming at a steady (albeit somewhat slow) pace, and they always make sense and actually change things for the better, which is more than can be said about many other titles. So in terms of health, the game is actually very much alive.
I have over 1300 hrs in pd2. I have around 80 in pd3 and have no interest in returning. Waiting in circles, scanning phones, snatching keycards right off guards is neither fun or challenging. Pd2 had dynamic cop spawns that kept you on your toes, whereas pd3 spawns are just copy and paste, with the specials arriving after scripted triggers. The skills in pd3 are boring and barely change the playstyle unlike pd2, then when you add the Grit, Edge and rush nonsense, the entire experience is just meh and none of it forces you to change the way you play or create interesting builds. My personal take is that most of the Devs of pd3 had barely played pd2 for more than a few hours. It is just not engaging
@@lusien3309 Out of curiosity, why do you like 3 more than 2? Just asking since even dsod, every perk and weapon can work incredibly well to beat any heist. Doesn't matter if it's with the Contractor, Minigun, Leech or Yakuza. You can always find a way to beat any heist differently. And even if it's for dsod specifically, you can always just turn down the difficulty if you prefer an easier time.
@@lusien3309 We'll have to agree to disagree here. While PD2 has it's issues, I just prefer the gameplay far more than 3, which I find stale and uninspired. I'm glad you enjoy 3 and are getting your money's worth, but it's just not for me.
@@KingOfDeftness I left the game (payday 2) in 2021 because I was fed up with its greed. Listen, I'm the one who's still angry at the developers for going away from the direction Ulf Andersson was going. The third payday became more serious and demanding of the team, and that's why I like the game. And I'm fed up with all the biased haters who trash the game simply because "everyone does it."
There was so much more rotten with Payday 3. The "achievemet progression system" was such a BS for example... I don't even agree with the core gameplay being good. Standing in a circle while "hacking" just is not fun in any way. I refunded it and a few weeks ago, I returned to PD2. Every once in a while we play a heist or two and it's still a blast
One thing i LOVE from PD:TH, is that they knew how to get inspired by other projects. Instead of just copying the formula, they DID understand the formula. 4 same guys for the entire game, they had to feel human with voice interactions with the mission context and their team, making them feel real. Detail that was lost in PD2
I can't be the only one who didn't buy the game because of the 'ninja police' thing. As soon as I saw that ninja cop, I lost all interest in trying Payday 3, which was actually my second most anticipated game. I'd been waiting for Payday 3 for so long, but after seeing the terrible reviews, I was already on the fence about buying it. Then, when I saw the ninja-looking cop with scissor hands, all my excitement just disappeared. Lol, I refuse to belive that this is only me
they removed the detection stat to promote "stealth into loud" gameplay, then they made stealth be a complete different route than loud. e.g. NRFW: in stealth you enter the vault through the door bypassing the security system, in loud you have to do none of that, you just use the drill, which means if you get caught at any point during stealth, you are basically starting over on loud. the game doesn't align with its own design.
The game has huge differences and seems more like a sequel to payday the heist at least gameplay and character wise. Shit story, great gameplay and pretty fun character interactions which payday 2 lacked so much.
@@captaintarkov To be fair, I only played the free weekend prior to launch. I gave PD2 a lot of slack to get it together and wasn't willing to do it again.
Best friend is a die hard payday fan and was really excited for 3. A couple months after it launched we switched to crime boss for our heisting fix and haven't looked back
Payday 3 is a failure and will remain one. Is there potential to save it? YES Will they save it? NO Imo they are in a paradox or infinite loop of inability, they need to make the game good and basically overhaul it entirely to make ppl buy it, but they can't do it without money from the ppl and ppl won't give the money until the product is worth the money so they need to do something they can't to gain the ability to do it to begin with. A deserved downfall truth be tol.d
I was actually really excited for the walking dead game as a huge fan of payday I'd love to see a future video on it. Also great video it was like getting slapped in the face with a nostalgia bomb when you mentioned grin.
11:46 YOU HAVE NO IDEA. I was around to see this happen in real time, overkill did this huge event called hype train and one of the most expensive packages you could buy was literally nothing... It was legit a 25 dollar package to "show your support" that came with the promise of a cool reward later down the line... Those stupid loot boxes were our reward a year later... To say that the community was pissed off was an understatement, as someone who bought that pack that's the very first time I trully felt betrayed by a game company. Imagine supporting a company you trust in because you like the game they made and want to see them continue to develop it, and then said company comes back one year later to spit in your mouth as a way to say "thanks". Yikes
Whenever your Creative Director dips out of your gaming company, that's already a sign of bad things to come, especially if you don't have anyone to fill those shoes; hell whenever ANY of the major heads leave the company, is a bad sign.
They also at one point said "We will stop developing for Payday 2, to make Payday 3". Considering Payday 3 was far away, most of the playerbase left. They should have kept going on the Payday 2 until Payday 3 was out.
It doesn't help that they seem to have intentionally sabotaged Payday 2 in an effort to make people want to buy Payday 3, which seems to have largely backfired or at least failed. In my opinion, before they ruined it, Payday 2 was one of the best games ever made. That having been said, I'm willing to give Payday 3 a chance if they fix the issues with it and introduce a lot more content. Granted, I'll probably still wait until it's on sale for cheap on Steam, but I'd be willing to potentially buy it.
I used to play payday 2 demo on xbox 360 with my friends, since we’re kids and didn’t managed to convince everyones’ parents to buy the game. That’s what we had back in the day, miss those days
I'll say it, PD3 will never be successful as long as Overkill and Starbreeze continue being as stubborn as a brick wall and not bother trying to understand what is actually wrong with the game and why the Community want it to change, Ignoring the many side issues and only talking without even trying to fix the main issues will never work no matter how many times they try it. Edit: Also, I completely disagree with the heists being good, While some parts are cool and Even fun they absolutely butchered what made payday both a fun heisting game and a fun action game with more than half the heists being to stand in a circle in the middle of nowhere for the dumbest excuse of an objective just to find the saddest vault of all time with barely anything to make the boredom worth it in the end.
I completely agree with your opinion on the circle standing thing they don’t make any logical sense and I think the drills where the perfect roadblock because it slows you down and forces you to hunker down because it is a mob shooter after all I also think the game can’t succeed with the way the skill tree is set up it removes all the replayability on top of the heists boring because you feel barely more powerful at max level than at level 1 in pd2 you start out being weak but with all the upgrades you can get from the skill and perk trees you feel like a 1 man army by the time you get to the higher levels
I completely agree with what you’re saying, but you gotta keep the dev team sanity in mind lol. They’re on a strict deadline with limited funding. They need to release a few more heists before September on top of all the other core mechanics that need to be changed. Crime net still needs to be added and they’re trying to rework the game into offline all while keeping the community engaged. It’s a lot to balance and I think most of what you’re saying will be addressed in year 2 when they’re not on a strict timeline because of the gold pass promise.
@@asianpablo1574 while I understand your point, All that should've been a part of the base game since the beginning, I have sympathy for some of the dev's but there's always a point where a line has been crossed so many times and it's very clear they haven't learned anything from all the years on Payday 2, When all attempts for reason fail (Especially after the fiasco with Almir recently and the idea of paid legacy heists) Then "Ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves"
exactly, the pure dopamine of stealthing big bank and opening the vault to find 20+ bags of loot was great. now it’s like 6-8 max and a much less interesting heist to get to it
I loved Payday 2 and played a bunch over the years. I was excited for Payday 3 and even pre-ordered with my friends who played it back in the day. Needless to say we were all disappointed after the first bank heist we did, and we used to run overdrill.
its been a year and not THAT much has changed. the game is cooked, without updates every month or frequently i dont see how the game can drastically improve. it needs a ton of work so much that it might be easier to just make a new game
In the first 3 months after release, Payday 3 had 5 DLCs. That outa tell you what they cared more about. Starbreeze Studio: Fixing the game and listening to player complaints? Lol. Our fans are spazs. We know whats right for them.
This. As much as I'm a White Knight for Payday 3, the game just, kinda sucks right now. The Heists and their designs is rather lackluster in gameplay, but also in general asthetics. Sure, the nightclub is cool, raiding a damn penthouse is novel, I guess, but it's nowhere near as flashy as robbing the fucking White House
@@typie34 This is just plain wrong. Payday 3 is by and large an improvement in gameplay over Payday 2. Payday 3 had issues on launch with the online having issues to connect and the progression system, but the gunplay is improved and the cops all feel dangerous and force you to play tactically, similar to the original. The heist's complexity has gone up and tickled my brain like nothing Payday 2 ever could, and keeps the realism that I missed from, again, Payday: the Heist.
@@zombiekiller13able Really? i remember playing this dogshit at launch and the movement was stiff and unnatural, gunplay very bad and mechanics not developed at all. On top of that the game looks like shit. so a literall stepdown from everything the predecessor had. maybe they fixed it by now but the game is dead, so no point in returning.
I thought Payday 3 was going to be huge. Dreaming of it being an open world closer to GTA or heists that have multiple stages with no loading screens. It ended up being the most generic take I could've ever imagined.
Maybe not a open world but I'm baffled how to exit a menu or a lobby it has a loading screen and not to mention the performance, we are not talking about rdr2 graphics nor darktide enemies numbers I am playing in a very decent rig and it runs like shit. Half baked game w a half baked performance.
Trailer looked ass. Looked like payday 2 with barely improved graphics. I said it looked awful and not what I expected. Downvoted like crazy. Turns out I was right on the dot.
Cyberpunk on the Xbox Series X and PS5 was not a bad game. Also No Man’s Sky is an anomaly. I wouldn’t expect most developers to give a game that much free content. Because it’s extremely rare.
I checked Payday 3 out the other day and it looked great. Just wanted to check out some reviews on it before trying it out but that was opening pandoras box. I've played Payday 2 and had lots of fun and figured Payday 3 would be much like Payday 2 but overhauled and everything better. By the looks of it its nothing of the kind so I'm holding off until things change. I sure hope it does
To be honest I thought payday became way worse than I thought the bugs and the technical issue of the game payday 2 was a successful heist game and plus it never disappoints me
On top of your point about how the real reason this game failed was because of how boring the game is rather than the glitchiness, Just look at stalker 2. That game can barely run on some peoples pcs yet people still love it because its actually FUN
Payday 3 definitely had potential they made a lot of great stealth revamps and some nice new heist mechanics But my main gripes are the simplification of the skill trees makes the progression in the game feel unrewarding and the removal of fun and silly guns and locking the cool guns away as a overkill weapon just isn’t fun
Stealth got revamped (sadly an aspect I had no love for back in payday 2, nor here in payday 3), but the idea that modern day mechanics (or solution to todays' modern problems) such as sitting still for satelite signals (sitting or moving around in a circle for intel), scanning QR codes and stealing cards from guards (at least this final part felt interesting - despite not being a stealth-fan, I found this aspect actually enjoyable.). Did I play the boys in blue? No, I had given the game 120 hours - of playtime until that same week... - then jumped the ship. Don't get me started on the "progression" for experience points, that I loathed with my entire body... - or having to deal with Syntax error's stage and new up and comming special unit the Techie. Easy to deal with? Doesn't make it enjoyable, as that is entirely subjective - I love the Grenedares, aka Naders. I'm still in favor of adding in special's that matches the occasions... but Techies? No thank you. Skill trees? Aye, in my eyes... I would say yer' being very genorous for calling it a skill tree, not to bring up any beef mate, but I wouldn't call it anything shorter than a merge of their skilltree from 2 and our heist decks from 2... into one amalgamation that just doesn't work out. Them introducing hauling(skill tree all about carrying more than 1 bag), into the mix... to work out the kinks, as carrying more was considered a godsend or a good start from lots of us ol' time heisters. But, so much felt unispired, to put it mildly. These internal proc' mechanics (Edge, Rush and Grit), never caught me as anything short of trying to re-invent the wheel - was it done well? Probably more responsive, but I had lost all my enthusiasm by the time builds got put up. All in all, from my gameplay experience, I hope anyone who'll go for Houstons' breakout will enjoy it... I can't see myself going back to payday 3 without more soul, and without an offline function (Crashes and loss of internet connection has sadly plagued me from time to time in recent years.).
payday2 just feels more relaxing, simple UI, can do a lot of missions while being drunk with friends because the game is already 12 years old. The same goes for left4dead. no complications. just shooting or if you want or if you are still a bit sober, get really tactical in the game. Maybe it's my age but I don't want that huge learning curve and getting to grind again to enjoy a game. yep, I'm getting old.
late 2023 really seemed to be the block where we got totally unplayable games. Payday 3, Cities skylines 2, Starfield & paradox' star trek game they dumped so quickly it didnt even bounce, to name just a few. I played Payday 2 religiously with some friends, at least one night a week for a good two+ years. It was some of the most fun I had in gaming, coupled with when they dropped the VR addon to it, one of the best VR experiences I've had in a game (honestly, dual pistols, coming out of the bank with your arms spread *chefs kiss*). I dodged payday 3 because I had a gut feeling it was going to be bad and I'm so glad I did. I'll look at it again in a year or twos time, but hearing how one brother left the company, kinda makes sense. It's beyond a shame though because with Payday 2, the world around it was fantastic, the out of game cinematics, bringing hoxton back etc, all were utterly perfect.
I feel like, a lot of people when they first played payday 3 were justly angered, but now, I feel like people just don’t give it a chance, no one tries it and believes popular views, I myself, find a lot fun about and it continues to amaze me, to this day, it’s good, the devs have buffed it and if you spend some time in it instead of playing one time and disliking it, It’s now a good game, trust me.
@@sr-b Not the guy you're asking, but pick it up after October and see for yourself. It's really fun with friends. The heists are fun (when you are not standing in one place thanks to some idiot thinking the "Circle" objective is the best thing) most of the bugs are fixed and there are much more things to come.
@@frostyxx6845 Thanks for the reply man i appreciate your time and yeah im looking for this game i like these type of games and i tried to play payday 2 but the graphics were outdated and the performance wasn't that great i couldn't play it more so i was glad to hear there's a sequel coming later at least before the negative reviews
@@sr-b No worries! If your performance wasn't good on Payday 2, I recommend trying to look into the system requirements of Payday 3. I know on my old PC, Payday 2 was kinda hard to run, Payday 3 is the same, maybe even worse performance wise. Depends on what platform you're playing, but I guess PC. If you buy games on Steam, they have a good policy of refunding games. I recommend trying it, see if your system can handle it. Also, if you want to grasp the current situation of PAYDAY 3, I highly suggest watching some videos from the one and only TheKknowley, makes great videos about Payday 2 and 3.
All people wanted to was modern remaster of payday 2. New engine which meant better graphics, performance, and improved physics. They did not need to change the core systems such as armor, skills, perks, leveling, weapon attachments, etc. Thats all they needed to do. Then they can continue to release content for the game like they do payday 2. Its not rocket science.
14:27 this is completely and fully untrue. not only is the game not even an entire year old yet, but there are 4 (four) heists added, half of which are totally free, and it seems likely that more heists will come out before the 1 year mark passes by. there is so much to criticize payday 3 over that you really do not have to invent more things to heap on top 14:05 false as well. the slideshow cutscenes ARE in fact fully voice acted. why do you have to lie about the game? there are so many real issues worth criticizing and you keep making stuff up.
First time ive seen someone bring up some of the complete and actual jargon brought up. Some things like the "Lack of Crimenet" can be solved SO easily if they gave a fuck about the cutscenes, as multiple times crime net is mentioned, and it can even be assumed that everything in the menus is done on Crimenet, it's just that the devs at Starbreeze were too damn lazy
I think it even goes back to when they said no more updates for pd2 and then it was no more paid dlc.. gave them a bad look that didnt help when they released a messed up game
I think the game would be so much better if they just brought back some payday 2 stuff. More rng in heists, the skill tree system, and old way objectives were handled. They could just port some heists directly from the second game and there'd at least be more to do
They don't seem to be that desperate, given that they just caused a major riot by reworking a fun skill combo. Some of the devs are really bone headed and want to push through with their vision of the game against the wishes of their customers. Of course your sales are bad when you repeatedly bite the hand that feeds you.
so basically make the creatives burnt out and over worked, the other brother essentially a suit with no creative passion took over, greed kills the game, actually a hood classic.
Personally, I pre-ordered the game before launch, excited for it finally coming out. Then it came out, it was having errors, and I wasn’t able to play a single level. It’s still a disappointment, even with the new levels and additions. It feels hollow and empty, with the charm of the previous game being gone. (and before anyone points out:”don’t preorder!!!!”, it’s my money, I don’t need the opinion)
Even when the game works, I simply don't find it fun to play. It lacks a soul of any kind, feeling more like a crappy Payday 2 fan game more than anything.
i played both payday 2 and 3 and i personally like pd3 more. both games has ups and downs but i prefer payday 3 cuz of a few reasons. npcs doesnt acts as stupid as pd2. people always say matchmaking system sucks. i started playing pd3 after 6 months of its release so i dont really know how it was when the game just released but i dont see a issue at matchmaking. about online only, they also working on a solo mode and its playable at current game. last thing is i personally find pd3 graphics very realistic and good which is enough for me to have fun while playing.
One thing that people tend to forget is that these games are all competing with your time. They are entertainment and you can only play so many games. The Payday 2 having 10 isn't that impressive compared to most live-service games. Also people say that everyone hates microtransactions but look at zenless zone zero. It made an estimated $300-350 million in just 1 month after its release so clearly people will play and can tolerate microtransactions if the game is good.
Payday 3 had the potential to be good but the issue is they took the idea of payday 2 gave us less heists at the start of the game, gave us even worse progression, gave us micro transactions after they already knew people didnt like them in payday 2 and made it live service. Payday 2 aucceeded because the people working on the game genuinely cared about the game over the money while payday 3 is the opposite the devs only care about the money the game brings in and not what the playerbase wants
I recently bought it and tried it just to give them the benefit of the doubt. It only took about an hour to feel like this game is an absolute slap in the face to payday the heist and payday 2 fans.
I played payday 3 on launch and other than lack of content didn’t experience any of these issues. I follow payday and starbreeze/overkill very closely and have never once seen them “trying for brownie points” I think a lot of the hate is band wagon fit throwing
I just miss the three card reward system at the end. Was fun to gamble and you could spend money to buy them meaning you always had a use for money And mask customisation is horrible they need to fix that and add more gambling
I too miss that I was hoping in the new game you could adjust decals position and height but na it's all a grind for colors and little fixed decals (when you hit level 50) and no more materials 😢
@@murkyturkey5238 no material, fixed decal positions still like a lot of us thought at launch we will see a lot of customizations and mask from payday 2 but you cannot even customize special masks even (also they are now locked behind levels instead of randomly unlocking it like they did at the end of missions three card reward system in playday 2
I'll never understand why people make such a big deal over always online when a smaller studio does it but couldn't give the slightest fuck about companies like Rockstar doing it. Just seems very forced and biased. I also love how you pretty much said No Mans Sky and Cyberpunk (which requires being online to play on PC) got redemption but that Payday 3 doesn't deserve it and should've released in working state from the beginning. Very hypocritical.
Cyberpunk and NMS were DISASTERS and spent a long time building what they promised. Nobody believed in them then but are happy the promises were kept. Payday 3 might make a small comeback, but it'll only ever be a drop in the bucket in comparison to if they got it right the first time. The same can be said with Cyberpunk and NMS, the difference is that the studios had the tallent, coherent vision and foundation to build upon. I love Payday and I had hope for Payday 3, but I'd say there's less than a 30% chance the game has a comeback. My friend and I were devastated by the launch and I asked him a few months ago, "wanna check on Payday 3?". He said and I quote, "hell no! That trashy game had it's chance.". Honestly I was surprised, but I understand how he feels. If the launch was bad enough to make one of their most diehard, pre-order fans completely give up after seeing the road map, you know you done fucked it up.
I started playing payday two earlier this year with a group of my friends for the first time, and we all loved payday 2 and did a majority of the content in the game, and my only complaint with payday two right now is with the desync bug that is plaguing us on console, now I do know that we could play on PC and it would mostly fix that but 1.good pc’s are expensive and 2. We know nothing about pc’s at this moment. So at this point, I’m really just hoping that the developers for payday 3 go back and fix some of the bugs in payday 2.
I like Robokast but this was very poorly researched. A lot of what he said was either outright wrong or rife with errors. Would not trust him to analyse the roadmap at all tbh
At this point, Payday 3 is better off if Starbreeze passes the IP off to another bigger studio to handle payday, the decisions theyre making at this point seem like there is a massive disconnect on what fans want and the decisions they are making
The one thing keeping me from playing Payday 3 is definitely the armor system. They need to bring back the Payday 2 armor system, if not something better
There's a purple armor system that is closer to payday 2 armor if you're interested. It has 2 plates and as long as a plate isn't fully broken, it fully regenerates a plate.
@@GoddessVel im 100% aware of that. My main issue is that once your armor is gone, you’ll likely get downed multiple times in the next few minutes unless you find some armor or repair kits. On top of that, dozers will likely take away at least one player’s armor plate off, so bots may be needed just to tank the shots and nobody needs to lose their armor

Payday 3 heists are bland and boring compared to payday 2. no variation, no replayability. The only thing PD3 does better is looking like a generic unreal game. until they completely rework the fundamentals I'm not reinstalling it
Got around 3-5k hours from the different platforms i've played on for payday 2. 1.5k on steam. I've made videos on the game. I've religiously played the game in highschool. Heard payday 3 was coming out and spend $90 on the pre order immediately (dumb decision). When it launched i played for a total of 10-30 minutes and haven't touched the game since.

It feels like they're trying for the "games as a service" model, when the predecessor already did that better and wasn't even trying to be that.
They followed call of dutys example smfh
So in terms of health, the game is actually very much alive.

they had nothing to do with payday 3. so why did he add them to the video?
That game bricked my PC operating system. I love The Walking Dead and I was hyped as hell for it. But damn did they fumble hard.

What went wrong? Well, still using that broken drill and MAKING IT ALWAYS ONLINE IS A PROBLEM!
There are so many core mechanics that also are at fault.
Do people really play war thunder? Or is it like the raid shadowlegends bs?

Payday 3 failed beacuse no Simon Viklund
I was waiting so long for this game and so hyped but for it to come out and be like this it feels bad man
Payday 2 was a lot of fun, but I stopped playing it when an update to the EULA was pushed that stated you'd be fully monitored at all times.
I completely agree with your opinion on the circle standing thing they don’t make any logical sense and I think the drills where the perfect roadblock because it slows you down and forces you to hunker down because it is a mob shooter after all
I also think the game can’t succeed with the way the skill tree is set up it removes all the replayability on top of the heists boring because you feel barely more powerful at max level than at level 1 in pd2 you start out being weak but with all the upgrades you can get from the skill and perk trees you feel like a 1 man army by the time you get to the higher levels
@@asianpablo1574 while I understand your point, All that should've been a part of the base game since the beginning, I have sympathy for some of the dev's but there's always a point where a line has been crossed so many times and it's very clear they haven't learned anything from all the years on Payday 2, When all attempts for reason fail (Especially after the fiasco with Almir recently and the idea of paid legacy heists) Then "Ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves"

the mechanics of the game are just beyond dogshit. its a step down in everything compared to PD2, even the graphics look like dogshit.
@@typie34 This is just plain wrong. Payday 3 is by and large an improvement in gameplay over Payday 2. I hope it is saved because pd2 is probably one of the games I enjoyed the most in my whole life
I appreciate the sacrifice James made to his car seats for our entertainment
Nah, as a payday player the real issue is there's not enough toxicity and memes in payday 3. We thrive on bugs and shitty mechanics though.
The Most annoying thing for me was the Delay while aiming so you couldnt hit anything in the distance. Also only 5-6 heists were scam asf
Payday 3 definitely had potential they made a lot of great stealth revamps and some nice new heist mechanics
But my main gripes are the simplification of the skill trees makes the progression in the game feel unrewarding and the removal of fun and silly guns and locking the cool guns away as a overkill weapon just isn’t fun
Did they really deliver after all those patches and do you think the game worth it now ?

Some things like the "Lack of Crimenet" can be solved SO easily if they gave a fuck about the cutscenes, as multiple times crime net is mentioned, and it can even be assumed that everything in the menus is done on Crimenet, it's just that the devs at Starbreeze were too damn lazy
The solo mode still requires internet connection
Because solo mode is not an offline mode YET.
@@CrimeNetArchive This. It doesn't help that IGN spewed this too.
I think it even goes back to when they said no more updates for pd2 and then it was no more paid dlc.. gave them a bad look that didnt help when they released a messed up game
Even they deleted an game of Roblox was like this.
Whenever i see a game getting advertized as sponsor. I am sure i will never play that game.
I think the game would be so much better if they just brought back some payday 2 stuff. More rng in heists, the skill tree system, and old way objectives were handled. They could just port some heists directly from the second game and there'd at least be more to do
The thing with payday 3 is that it lost that original passion project feel that payday 2 had
They don't seem to be that desperate, given that they just caused a major riot by reworking a fun skill combo.
Some of the devs are really bone headed and want to push through with their vision of the game against the wishes of their customers. Of course your sales are bad when you repeatedly bite the hand that feeds you.
they chaged there minds on the reworking, but still ganna add the 2 skills
I'm just learning that there is a payday 3
so basically make the creatives burnt out and over worked, the other brother essentially a suit with no creative passion took over, greed kills the game, actually a hood classic.
Fun fact, payday sounds precisely like “I farted” in Brazilian Portuguese, hope this helps
Main issue of payday 3 is the leveling up system and there being no skill tree (god knows why)
i played both payday 2 and 3 and i personally like pd3 more. both games has ups and downs but i prefer payday 3 cuz of a few reasons. npcs doesnt acts as stupid as pd2. people always say matchmaking system sucks. i started playing pd3 after 6 months of its release so i dont really know how it was when the game just released but i dont see a issue at matchmaking. about online only, they also working on a solo mode and its playable at current game. last thing is i personally find pd3 graphics very realistic and good which is enough for me to have fun while playing.
good you are one of the 100 players in the world that like the game xD
@@DaniPt98 hey it really doesnt matter for me as long as i enjoy while playing
WHERE IS THE CRIME NETTT
I played payday 3 on launch and other than lack of content didn’t experience any of these issues. I follow payday and starbreeze/overkill very closely and have never once seen them “trying for brownie points” I think a lot of the hate is band wagon fit throwing
Next payday vid is: PAYDAY 3, they made me eat my own damn words
I just miss the three card reward system at the end. Was fun to gamble and you could spend money to buy them meaning you always had a use for money
And mask customisation is horrible they need to fix that and add more gambling
I too miss that I was hoping in the new game you could adjust decals position and height but na it's all a grind for colors and little fixed decals (when you hit level 50) and no more materials 😢
How did they ruin the mask customization?? The masks in payday 2 are awesome
@@murkyturkey5238 nah the mask customisation in Payday 3, PD2 was so good but had some room for improvement
Payday 2 runs on just about everything but a work laptop
Great video. Could you make a video on payday 3 from day 1 to now. Would be cool to hear about what has changed so far and how the road map is going.
When the Payday 2 Xbox launch was a complete disaster and unplayable online for months I vowed to not buy another game from them. I kept my word.
@@tommynguyen8164 just sounds like a skill issue
@@brokenmartin4861 trying to keep your armor is a skill issue, sure. But living off of hp, that is where i draw the line. You can’t call dealing with hit scan a skill issue
@@tommynguyen8164 living off of hp is the meta in the game, there is a skill that requres you to have no armor to work, there is adrenalin witch take priority over armor
i just remember the first 2-3 days of release. this game was massive. for that very very short period of time. but, those sales tho. i dont think the company sees it as a failure. it sold. may not still sell or be played. but it sold
Dev won't hear us
I tried to get into payday 2 the other day and there is way too much crap going on to know. The onboarding process is trash
Payday 3 heists are bland and boring compared to payday 2. no variation, no replayability. The only thing PD3 does better is looking like a generic unreal game. until they completely rework the fundamentals I'm not reinstalling it
no content and gamepass killed this game, i powered through those heists in 2 weeks and was out.
needing online connection for solo/singleplayer games should be illegal
Got around 3-5k hours from the different platforms i've played on for payday 2. 1.5k on steam. I've made videos on the game. I've religiously played the game in highschool. Heard payday 3 was coming out and spend $90 on the pre order immediately (dumb decision). When it launched i played for a total of 10-30 minutes and haven't touched the game since. Couldn't get into a match, still can't get a refund.
As someone qho plays pd3 regularly. Its not worth. The mind set is oh look everyone is useing this skill lets nerf it.
Me still waiting payday 2 update even tho they left it to die😢😢
