    I understood what he meant by 'Playing The Violin is not the goal' - when I stopped trying to 'Play' the instrument the music would happen well also listening for the resonance in the instrument over the played note is everything

      Yes, it's rarely played as written. It's just too expensive/hard to annotate it properly. What people try to do is learn the rolls and cuts and based on rules learn when to use those ornaments. And of course, the bowing. The bowing, the bowing, the bowing. This man figured out a roll, but has a ways to go to get bowing right. It's not easy.
