I was so taken with Matthew's presentation that I subscribed immediately. But you cut the vid short after his analysis of only the opening measures of the viola solo; I'd have. been happy to spend an hour in Matthew's company, at the very least. Chords only have tension if they are in 6/4 position. It doesn't have any to do with tonic dominant.
