Isaiah 6:1-8 presents a similar scene. God is surrounded by angels when Isaiah comes into their presence. There was one person sitting with the edges of His robe filling the temple and then Isaiah hears the Lord’s voice saying, “Whom should I send, and who will go for us?”. Jesus did not exist yet in any form except as logos.. a word in God's mouth or a predestined idea the like of Jeremiah where God says “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I sanctified you; and I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”. God already knew how seed was going to crush the head of the serpent before the Son was begotten and even before the foundation of the world. This was the same time John speaks of in John 1:1-14 where the word was with God and the word was God through whom everything was created when God simply spoke and said " Let there be light..". The word that was life and life that was light. Jesus is the light if the world and is the life as well as the way and truth.

Correct. Did Jeremiah literally exist before he was born?
Trinitarians refuse to answer this or can't

But in that same book of Isaiah the Trinity is found on one verse:
“Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me.”
      ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭48‬:‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬
There are 3 distinctions being made here. Even back in Genesis when Sodom was destroyed, There were two distinctions about God made in one verse:
“Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;”
      ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭19‬:‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬
The LORD rained fire upon Sodom from the LORD out of heaven. This scripture shows Jesus and the Father destroying Sodom and Gomorrah.

Man is created in God's image, man has a spirit, a soul ,and flesh body , these three beings make man, God, Jesus, the Holyspirit, all three are the trinity, all three are in agreement, with the word of God, man's body consist of three beings, spirit, soul, and body the flesh, all three are in agreement, all three function in agreement to live or be alive, the human body. if you remove one of these three from the human body, spirit, soul, or body, man doesn't exist, if anyone doesn't believe in the trinity father, son, Holyspirit, God in his triune existence, can't function, in man's life, man needs father, son, and Holyspirit, the trinity are three divine personalities that agree with the father, like a triangle all agree on the word of God.

      Matthew 3:16, 17
As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son,whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

@@viclaron2937where is the part in that verse that says God is 3 persons? I’m aware he is omnipresent and is a spirit and I would think that an omnipresent spirit could be in Heaven while dwelling his body on earth. I also think if that same God could create our universe then it would not be hard for him to allow you to see his spirit descending from above? Not arguing just trying to understand! I wouldn’t consider myself either Trinitarian or oneness. I think that trying to ascribe terms that really aren’t present does nobody any good. I simply try to see the scripture for what it says! I’m aware I don’t know much! I am however submissive to the spirit and have experienced life changes that are miraculous. If God is an invisible spirit, and when you see Jesus you have seen that spirit be made visible then I think he is exactly what it says he is God in Human form. The Bible says that God is: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit not that God is: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We as humans are Body, Soul and Spirit but that doesn’t make me 3 persons!

wait a minute God said "let us make" that is not God talking to the angels but God talking to a fellow creator(s) that is involved in creating man. Angels are not our creators and therefore this man and you are wrong. This is Yah speaking to the other creator(s). The others that are involved in creation are the Word and the Spirit, see Psa 33v5. Yet God says he made the heavens alone. This clearly means the many are one.

Powerful truth! Makes sense that man was the reflection having 3 distinct parts of One individual, not 3 persons” another thing that stood out to me was man was created male and female and the image of God was before the female was taken out of the man, male and female can be symbolic of that which impregnates and that which produces, as animals can also be male and female but not necessarily woman or man, it also could mean God has a more dominant side and also a more sensitive side, as we see the Holy Spirit manifestation of himself can be grieved and gentleness is a fruit of his spirit, God also has parts, there’s a such thing as parts of God, Moses saw the back parts of the One individual God, reflecting God’s image makes the most sense to me, God is spirit, man is spirit dwelling in a body, God has a soul, he said if anyone draws back from living by faith MY SOUL has no pleasure in him, man has a soul also, and God speaks Words, Man also speaks words” interesting Paul said if I pray in an unknown tongue my spirit prays and mind is unfruitful, so we have different parts of ourselves that can speak, Flesh or Spirit but same individual, God also has different functions of himself he can speak from, and if speak than also hear from, that can explain LET US” I know Pastor mentioned Isaiah 44 God created heaven by himself, but another even deeper is Isaiah 45:12 - he said he made earth and MAN ON it by himself” which is proof One individual God Created man” so the US is still within the same individual “ himself! Oneness always wins!

The Eternal Existence and Distinction between Father, Son and Spirit is evident in scripture. God is One in Compound Unity and Personality of Father, Son and Spirit. This is why John 14-16 and John 8 we see Plurality in God and many other scriptures that God is Truly One God.❤

I also believe that God was addressing the angels in Gen 1:26. And the reason I believe that is because after man sins, God makes the following statement:
    (Genesis 3:22 KJVS
And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:)
"Man is become as one of us, to know good and evil". And man only received the knowledge of good and evil after he ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
It becomes clear from this verse that those whom God is addressing had a knowledge of good and evil placed in them already without needing to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
And that could only be the angels. Because Lucifer tempted Eve but where did the iniquity come from in him? He was created with the knowledge of good and evil and the ability to choose.
So I firmly believe that God was addressing the angels but He did the act of creation by Himself.

John 1:1 says in the beginning was the word, and the word was was with and was god…the word, why didn’t Paul specify the “son” the word is the expression of God almighty. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form. Col 2:9… there will be no gods formed before or after! Hope that helps friend. I would also say Elohim which a lot of trinitarians like to use to refer to a pluralistic God, it almost always in Hebrew is singular, if that’s not enough … there are more verses using singular nouns or pronouns. People may ask how can the Father and Son be the same person ? John said that "God is a Spirit no man has seen Him or can see Him". Why ? Because the Father is an invisible Spirit that can only been seen in a body. Just like us except that the Spirit of the Father is joined with the Spirit of the Son. God is Spirit/spirit, soul, in the glorified body of Jesus Christ. What did Jesus say, " If you have seen me then you have seen the Father".
A " born of the Spirit" believer is now Spirit/spirit, soul, and body, just like our Father is.

Jesus said "I have come down from Heavan" Thus he lived before his human existance, Col 1 shows that "All things were Created ( By God the Father) through him. Thus quite logical to be in conversation with his Son who worked for him in creation! The same explaination can apply to Gen 11:7. Also Just as Queen Victoria said "We are not amused" The orginal Hebrew uses 'plural excellence rather than a numerical value when speaking of God.

It wouldn’t make sense for God to say “let us make” and then say that He created everything by Himself unless He is referring to the Godhead.
Also, the Bible doesn’t teach that we are made in the image of angels; yet that’s what you have to believe if you believe He was speaking to angels when He said “let us make”.
Also, of course Jewish rabbis would only see one singular God. They don’t even believe in Jesus as the Son of God! That’s not the group you’d want helping you interpret the Bible when they deny Jesus Himself.
And finally, Hebrews 1 gives us the clear explanation for why we see so many of the singular pronouns when God speaks. Hebrews 1:1-2 says “God who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, he has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed as heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds.

    Greetings, Brothers!
(CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD: A PROPHESY FULFILLED IN THE INCARNATION)
We worship a God who calls things that are not as though they were (Ezekial 12:25; Romans 4:17).
It is written, "in the beginning, God created man in His own image" (Genesis 1:27).
Yet "God is a Spirit" (John 4:24), without visible form (John 1:18; Colossians 1:15).
Of Christ it is written, "He is the image of the invisible God" (Colossians 1:15).
By drawing attention to the fact that God is invisible, this text highlights Christ as being the visible image of God.
So, "let Us make man in Our image" (Genesis 1:26) was a prophesy pointing to the incarnation, when God Himself would take visible (human) form (Philippians 2:7).
Because man was created a visible being, it was not possible for him to resemble his invisible creator, so God created man in the image that in the fulness of time He would fashion Himself into, so that in being so fashioned, the man that He had created in the beginning would bear that same image, thereby fulfilling the prophesy.

Regarding Gn 1:26: "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness"...
Angels don't have creative power in scripture. Furthermore, we are made in the image of God -- not in the image of angels. Therefore, this passage cannot be referring to angels, but only to God alone.

Some good ideas to think about, for sure. I have been mulling around something a bit different. It is always said that _"man"_ is both of the dust of the Earth, and of God. So in saying; _"Let us,"_ God is speaking to Creation... We too at times speak to inanimate objects...which is of course; just a way to formulate, to give voice, to our own thoughts. And yet, man is both of God and of this Earth... like all animals, beasts of the field, we are the image of nature, and yet also we are of the image of God.
Anyway, as I stated, just a thought. Not even sure if I agree with it myself.

Was the church. In Ephesians 1:4 Paul said; According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world.
In God's mind. And I can see that. Jesus is a Lamb slain before the foundation of the world. If God had that body to die on that cross, why couldn't God pick his people before the foundation of the world?
Jesus is God manifest in the flesh.

Bernard's analogy regarding man being made in the image of his Creator has a very big problem, which is founded on the very next verse:
    *Genesis 1:27*
God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Further, in Genesis 5:2, God "created them male and female, and He blessed them and named *them* Adam (or 'Man') in the day when they were created." Yeah, you might want to rethink that analogy...

Acts 3:18-26 confirms this prophet is Jesus
John 12:44-50 Jesus confirms he is the light and speaks only what his Father commands him to speak.

You are correct. God the father sits on His throne and that's where He stays. The Son was present on earth in a human body. And the Spirit came down upon Him. Those are three individuals. All three are God, making them one. They share the same will, power and purpose completely. This person does not understand the Trinity.

Beautiful thoughts Sir @Dr Bernard but a word raises a question, "OUR" image" . If let US is God deliberating within himself, what of the "OUR" image?
My approach to this is to look at(trace) it from the product(result) back to the reactant.
Let's look at what was created, was it in the image of God alone or the image that God shares with some others(divine beings, angels)?
What is the image of God in which man was created? Was it as flesh and blood or as spirit?
We can from here understand if the "US" refers to God alone as you have explained or to angels or trinity(NB: I don't agree to Trinity)
I believe God wasn't deliberating with anyone rather he was informing divine beings of his plan and because the man would be in their image hence the "US and OUR"

Having read the Old and New testament for years, I never could see the Oneness view, even though I was saved in a Oneness church. When the words of our Redeemer, Jesus, spoke, He always spoke lovingly of His and our Father in heaven. I have no theological education, nor am an intellectual with a doctorate, but the simple Word of God teaches me that the Son truly existed before the foundation of the world. If there is no true relational love between Father God and His only-begotten Son, how can we understand that love? God wanted us to see the sacrifice of Abraham in giving up his son Isaac on the altar, which was stopped; God wants us to knowhow painful itwas for Him to allow His Son to become a servant and endure the cross. God the Father allowed a Son He loved to die for us. Isn't thisthe crux of the gospel?

    • @derekbaker777
      @derekbaker777 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I'm not sure if you fully understand the Oneness of the Godhead judging by your statement. It sounds like you believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost, which equals 3 different beings and is false doctrine. Christ is our Father in Creation, the Son in Redemption and the Holy Ghost in experience, and all 3 "titles" make up one God who is Jesus Christ. Isaiah 9:6 proclaims that Christ is our everlasting "Father" and the mighty God. If there were 3 God's than I'm curious to know what the names of the Father & Holy Ghost are because "Father" & "Holy Ghost" are not names, but rather titles in which God manifests himself to us. The Bible gives us the name Jesus Christ because there's only one God and there is no other name given among men whereby we must be saved. The Jews are monotheistic and have it right, but they get it wrong by rejecting Christ as God Almighty. When we get to heaven, there will be only one sitting on the throne and that one will be Christ Almighty.

No where does the Bible refer to the “God the father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit”. The trinitarians made that up from their own surmising, certainly not from scripture. The Bible does call Jesus the son of God for which the Jews sought to kill him because they understood that for him to say he was the son of God he was making himself equal with or of the same nature as God.

    1 John 2:22
“Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.”
This verse has a second part that most overlook. Antichrist not only denies that Jesus is the Christ but he also denies the Father and the Son. To deny that Jesus really is God's son is far worse than the trinity error. In fact the Bible says that we must believe this to be saved. Oneness teaches that the son is the same person as the father. That is to say that he isn't God's son but only is a different mode of God. This may lead to damnation and is very serious. Jesus is truly God's only begotten Son. He was with the father before the world began and God sent him. He has always been and always will be God's son.

John : 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Joh 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
    Jesus Is Equal with God
Joh 5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath,
but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

Joh 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do:
for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
Joh 5:20 For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
Joh 5:21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
Joh 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
    10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Colossians 1:15-20 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and
that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
    And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead;
that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross,
by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
The Rider on a White Horse Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True,
and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. Rev 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written,

Yes. Trinitarian doctrine is not derived from the plural language in Gen 1.
God was speaking to the members of His divine council.
However, the Spirit did show up at Creation, one distinct from God.
    ‭Genesis 1:1-2 ESV‬
[1] In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. [2] The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

    The Truth is SIMPLE. Why
He uses words like ‘probably’, meaning that there is a possibility of another meaning. If one says “let’s see…” and is talking to himself, what he MEANT to say was “let ME see…”, since he is taking to himself and not to someone else. A clear and more simple explanation is that according to Colossians 1:15 is that Jesus was God’s first creation. Jesus is not a co-creator but creation was created through him and for him. He was given the parts by God to “assemble” but did not create these parts…

The 'angels' analogy (Gen. 1:26) isn't convincing to me. While it's good to get a Rabbi's view, it's better to allow the Holy Spirit to teach us. It would be better to say "I don't know, or I don't understand this verse in scripture' and study it for ourselves. Maybe the Lord purposely requires us to search like the Bereans or perhaps He wishes us to accept it by faith, not really knowing who the "We" are. I personally believe the"we" is God and the Word (Jesus Christ); "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1).
The Word was 'with God'. Could this be the 'we'?

Will you address john 16:13 in a video?
I know the word authority isnt in the greek, but it still says the spirit will not speak on His own
Then it says He will not speak of himself,
and it says the spirit will speak whatever He hears. The context seems to say that this speaking and hearing goes on after Jesus’ ascension. There is a distinction between the one hearing and the one He’s hearing from. Seems to suggest a distinction of persons
Verses 12 and 14 indicates that it is Jesus who is telling the spirit what to say.
I have read your book on it. You seem to indicate that somehow john 16:13 is talking about a distinction between the Spirit of God in action in the believers life and the mind of God. That the Spirit of God will never act outside of the mind of God on its own to give individual believers their own authority apart from God to create their own doctrine or teaching. I am not sure where you get that from the text
Is there a better explanation of John 16:13?

Wo, wo wait a minute, Did not the Father bring forth the Son from his inner bossom? In John 1:1 says the Word was God and was with God, that makes two or two essence of God. Colossians 1 says that Jesus the Word created ALL THINGS that would include Adam, the Angels....etc. And the Colossians again in verse 9-10 says "IN Christ ALL THE fullness of the deity lives in bodily form and it continues to say Christ is the head of EVERY POWER AND AUTHORITY....that means he's over the Father's AUTHORITY. The point is that God is Jesus and the Father are one . To be the EXACT representation of the Father would mean the Son/Word is the percice being of the Father making him Father/God. If their is only one God then the Father and Son are the one God .

This is to say, we are now together on this journey that I am undertaking but by virtue of you being here, we are undertaking together.

Have you considered He's taking to and about Adam and Eve... It's the only day God actually talks to someone, the day He made His son and daughter.

It seems more likely in Genesis 1:26 that YHWH was speaking to and about Adam and Eve whom He made and then they continue on making mankind in their image good made. YHWH never speaks in plurality on any other day.... Only when making His son(s) and daughter(s).
And the tower of babel plurality does make sense that He's speaking to those existing in heaven already, the angels.

This has confused the Jews and refuse to believe that is what it says. Remember the first 5 books have been written by Moses and I believe he was given certain mysteries of God. You must remember he saw the back of God through a cleft of a rock. So Moses had a clear idea of the Holy Spirit and about the Word whom we refer to as Jesus. It is possible all three were present when they created the universe.

Very simple... Deu 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is 'echâd/ one LORD." *One* not 3. Again... Gen.1:22,23 :and he took 'echâd/ one of his ribs... made he a woman. Not 3 women. Christians today are Polytheists, "many Gods," not 'echâd/ one God. The Living God in Deu.6:4 told us plainly that as the Hebrews were slaves in Egypt, they had 430 years of education in Polytheism, and now God set the record straight once and for all. Furthermore, the "us" of "our image" in Gen.1:26 and beyond, speaks of the holy angels as they witnessed the Creation of all things, angels are made like us in appearence, else there are many Gods, which there are not. Now, ask of these Polytheists... "To whom do you pray?"

But Jesus distinguished himself from God and said they're two different people. John 14:28

    • @ITAKEJESUSCHRISTATHISWORD
      @ITAKEJESUSCHRISTATHISWORD ปีที่แล้ว +1

He did distinguished Himself but here is why as in Philippians 2:7. He took the form of man , a servant although He was still God. God in His fullness cannot accept humiliation as Jesus did when He was on earth but the flesh can. But when He went up He takes His Full glory. Colossians 2:9 the Fullness of God dwells in Jesus Christ but in bodily form because He was on earth. 1 Corinthians 15:27 For He has put everything under His feet ... it is clear that He is excepted, who did put all things under His feet. Here, The Father is excluded because the Son cannot be higher than the Father since the Son of God is His manifestation in the flesh. If you read 1Jn 3:2 and 1 Corinthians 13:12, although the perfections and the glory of His nature ,the riches of His grace and goodness displayed in Jesus Christ Paul and John say, when we see Him face to face we will see the comprehensive glorious nature when He sits on His throne after the salvation mission is completed, judgement is passed on satan and death. So we and even the Apostles haven't seen the true essence of God who is JESUS CHRIST on earth.

@@FantasyVisualsin John, Jesus says we are one like they are one. In context it doesn't mean one person it means one in purpose.
And 'I AM' is not saying I am YHWH. It's simply saying 'that's me' or 'I am he'. A blind man makes that same 'I am' claim, so did Judas, Peter and Paul. Ego eimi does not mean someone is calling themselves YHWH, it means 'I exist'.
And it was transcribed in all caps to make it seem like Jesus is calling himself God.... Remember Jesus warning, woe to the scribes'

John 1: 1-3 " In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was WITH God, and the Word was God. v2 " HE was in the beginning WITH God V3 "all things were made through HIM and without HIM was not anything made that was made" John 17:5 " and now Father glorify me in THY own presence WITH THE GLORY WHICH i HAD WITH THEE BEFORE THE WORLD WAS MADE". 17:1-2 " glorify THY SON that the Son may glorify Thee". v8 " thou didst send me" v11 " I am COMING TO THEE ......that they may be ONE, even as we are one". How were the apostles ONE LIKE THE FATHER AND THE SON? v13" now I am coming to Thee" v18 " Thou didst send me into the world". Heb 9:24 " For Christ has entered, not in a sanctuary .......but into heaven itself, NOW TO APPEAR IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD ON OUR BEHALF." Hebrews 1:2-3 " but in the last days he has spoken through his Son....through whom he created the world . He reflects the glory of God...." Sounds like me that the US in Genesis 1:26 refers to at least Jesus and God the Father, Jesus was WITH HIM before the foundation of the world. And in Genesis 1:1 we have the Spirit, " the Spirit of God was moving over the waters......we have God the Father, Son and HS. As far as ONE goes, read John 17: 21-23 " that they may be ONE , even as thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they may ALSO BE IN US......THAT THEY BE ONE EVEN AS WE ARE ONE....THAT THEY MAY BECOME PERFECTLY ONE". Not that hard to understand and they work real hard to make it fit what they believe. I accept what John Says, "the Word was WITH GOD" IN THE BEGINNING that would be Genesis1:1
