Hey man one of the greatest men in the bible was David and he always sought the Lord. So we too and you too must seek God everyday. Its not that you are not saved its that you want intimacy with Him. Acts 17:27 "that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us"

Most people are backsliders. Life is difficult and complex. We need lots of forgiveness and love. ❤️ 🔥
God is good I pray that what Christ started in your life will finish his good work in you. For anyone whose reading this God will accomplish His will in your life.

I love Jesus, but have struggled mightily with life in general... and with sin. I am an autistic man, since birth. The world tells me that being autistic is a blessing. I feel just the opposite. My autism makes verbal communication extremely difficult. I rethink much of what I say and do. I have no confidence in myself because of this fault. I struggle mightily with sensory input. I have many quirks (like stimming) which make most people reject me. I have been married and divorced twice and will never do that again. I live alone. Insanely lonely (in spite of preferring fewer than more people in my life). The pandemic has not helped. I feel like the sick man at the pool of Bethesda. If only I could touch Jesus. I see stray dogs on the street getting better treatment than I do. Sorry for this long rant. I am crying out for help and love from the Christian community. I cannot find it. Nothing but a little pat on the shoulder and "I will pray for you". That and rejection.
Perhaps if I had not been trying so hard most of my life to fit in (that's a mountain of hard work for an autistic person, and I am worn out because of it), I would be in a better place.
About a year ago I finally came to grips with my autistic diagnosis (high functioning) of 27 years ago. It changed my world as the previous life I was living, out of necessity to hold a job, was a lie. I finally took the mask off. I now allow myself to be autistic. I no longer try to hide it. I allow myself to stim at home, and occasionally in public. Never used to do this. Anyhow. My life is nearing it's end and I want to find Jesus in a bigger way. I want to be healed of this complicated mess that is my life. Am I saved? I do not know. I have hope that I am. I talk to Him always (today that is all I did all day). I read His word. I love people. But I am in deep emotional pain. I have been targeted and terrorized by a very evil man who lives next door to me as well. The terror is so egregious that nobody even believes me, not my family or police. I am to the point where death sounds so much more attractive than life. This post is my (likely last) cry for help. If only I could touch Jesus. Love you all.

That passage that you named shouldn't be your only hope but rather a brazen confidence in salvation, take ALL of the promises made and raise your hopes to the highest. Brother I pray for you. I'm in your same situation. I wish there was a way we could talk on the phone. So we could pray together because we are going through the same thing. I'm afraid to go to some people and tell them I have backslid because I get judgement from some, not all.

There is so much evidence from as early as when the New Testament was written to completely say it is the true word of God and just saying because it was translated into English it became false is so far from the truth, there are only minor differences from the original Greek, nothing that takes away the true meaning of the gospel of Jesus, I hope you can see this one day

We're living in a time right now where people are becoming obsessed with losing their salvation it seems like the enemy is trying to drive a wedge between the children of God and God when they don't know that salvation belongs to God and then he purchased us on the cross that's one of the things that I love about God and he doesn't give up on us even when we give up on ourselves

I often wonder if Gods grace and wonderful mercy is the repenters greatest and most painful punishment. Knowing how heavy regret is and stil God forgives😔🥲

As John Piper well taught, flee without delay to Christ after sinning as there is repentance in no one else other than Jesus Christ, who is interceding for you right now, praying that you draw near to God through Him in the power of the same eternal Spirit that enable Christ to give His life for sinners. Isn’t that wonderful that Jesus ever lives to pray for us to draw near to God through Him (for grace, mercy, forgiveness + everything else beside)? What a GREAT God, God is!

So many Christians seem to preach, arrogantly and selfishly, the very opposite. Are you an alcoholic? "Well you better get sober and clean *BEFORE* you come to Jesus because if you willingly sin *AFTERWARDS* it all goes down the toilet and you will burn in hell forever..."
I'm so thankful Jesus personally found me and called me in. If you are reading this, put your full faith in HIS work. Accept His sacrifice. God knows the intention of your heart. Don't listen to those who would take the name of Jesus in vanity.
Is He an ALL LOVING God or not? An all loving God will love you through your human failings. But you must love Him also. Is this a simplistic view? Perhaps. But to think God rejects you because you are struggling is just mean and the work of the enemy.
I don't know any Christians who would say that or who believe that. Makes me question if they were truly born again or not.

True, if we love God we will obey His commandments.
Thankfully we aren't saved by loving God but rather because He first loved us and gave himself for us.
The only reason anyone will ever be in Heaven is solely by the shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection, of Jesus Christ Alone.
Our good works, repenting of sins, and obedience, are solely for rewards in Heaven or a lack thereof and have absolutely nothing to do with salvation at all.
Salvation is absolutely free.
Rewards are worked for!
I heard a story of a women who had a died and went to heaven experience she said she was a drug dealer beforehand but was still saved

Salvation is absolutely free, as you say.
But repentance is required. Without there is no possibility of going to heaven. Repentance is not works. It is a change of mind about our retched state (that we need God), AND turn around back to Him.
Repent, believe and be saved.
@@tobystevens9183 The only repentance that saves is admitting that you are a hopelessly lost sinner and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before and trust Jesus Christ as your only hope of getting to Heaven.
When you have believed on Christ alone for salvation then you have repented unto life.

Yes God loves us freely but not the people!!! He doesn’t shun us. Because if He shuns us then we are screwed. There’s no hope anywhere. Nobody wants the stupid harsh preaching when they are broken and hurt. Healing takes time. Forgiveness is a process just like healing. 🇺🇸 🇮🇱

You can only "backslide" if you are under some form of law. You must be on a scale to slide forward and back. Christians are not under the law. God no longer counts our sins against us. When a Christian sins, they can thank God that their sin no longer separates them from Him. Therefore, they can confidently approach God, receiving His grace and mercy which will help identify why they weren't trusting God when they sinned. That is grace, not law.
If all is decided upon by God then we have no free-will.. We decide to believe ! God knows the future. Otherwise He cannot know when the end will come. Jesus said of the end times only "The Father knows". If Jesus lied concerning the question his whole ministry is void !
A SUNDAY MORNING RESURRECTION IS IMPOSSIBLE

Why would a Calvinist minister preach a message to backsliders? Sounds contradictory. If Once Saved Always Saved is true, then why encourage backsliders to return to the Lord. After all, the backsliders can’t lose their salvation, right?

We have Gods full authority to see them as a non believer even if they are a Christian. I only ever saw Elvis glorify sin and love the world so i do not think of him as a brother. Yes, I repetitively sinned. I always ended up sweetly repenting, getting angry again, and repenting, like a roller coaster. Once I renounced Him, felt that gift leave, repented, and He came back, BUT NOT THIS SECOND TIME, and yet...
Before the first time I renounced Him - and meant it - when I ran back to Jesus, I felt the calm, loving thought immediately after I repented, "You're not getting rid of me." So, I say to you, if Jesus does NOT take me back, He lied to me. Told His very first lie EVER... to me.
I am sick of this torment! I WILL @#$ing kill myself if Jesus doesn't come back. He's not answering my @#$ing prayers for reassurance I AM NOT hopeless. He is dangling hope of restoration over my head like a carrot. Why?
Does Jesus hate and mock me that much? I remember feeling Jesus saying to me, one night, "I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU, you filthy wretch!"
"I HATE YOU!" over and over again, until I asked Him to save the torment till after I died, and it stopped. Is THAT proof Jesus OW NO LONGER LOVES ME, that I am reprobate?Unfortunately, God gave me up and gave up on me. Why?
