The first red flag was spending so much time on multiple estimate revisions to lower the price on such a small job to begin with. If I have to have multiple days of texting or calling etc over something small I move on. Its always the small petty jobs too. Dealing with people over $150 while other home owners are gladly paying $1000 for real work. This is also a lesson in that just because you lower your price doesn't mean they lower their expectations. Lol they ALWAYS expect more for less. You have to learn how to see the red flags early and cut your losses quick.
Fix something to your minimum standards. If the customer refuses, decline the job.
