      @@txtoolcrib DOES THIS TOOL SAY ON ITS PACKAGING THAT THERE IS A "CANCER WARNING"??
      THE SOG SNIPPET ON BOTTOM LEFT BACK OF PACKAGING HAS A CANCER WARNING AN IM SLIGHTLY DISTURBED THAT NO 1 HAS MADE A VIDEO ON IT.
      I MAY GET THIS OVER THE SNIPPET IF THIS DOESNT HAVE A CANCER CAUSING WARNING LIKE THE SNIPPET DOES....
      BE COOL T SEE A VIDEO ON THOUGHTS OF SNIPPETS CANCER WARNING .
      I watch alot of ur vids. Keep up the good work. 🤙🤙👍

      For MT and tools dudes that work in the trades use he’s the best. And it’s not cause he has them.. it’s cause he uses them and works with them.
      Like BladeHQ.. full of hipsters with manicures. They hire by image lol.. the “badboy” who always wear the beanie.. the Anime-dork, the Country Music lover.. all of them have one thing in common though. They not only don’t really know knives, they’ve never had to work with tools.

    Have one of these. Great little multi tool. Agree that the scissors is sharper further out from fulcrum but it is very easy to access 👍

      @@txtoolcrib I currently have a leatherman surge, and the one it comes with is starting to fall apart from daily use at work. Im looking for something that can hold the surge, flashlight and all the bits + the extender

    • @txtoolcrib
      @txtoolcrib  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are looking for a sheath to hold everything, then I would strongly recommend looking to leather craftsmen selling on Etsy. There are some really good sheaths available. Quite a number of those craftsmen will also custom build something to fit your needs. Adding a flashlight really limits the standard sheath options out there.

    Really want the Leatherman Micra, but there seems to be a shortage in the UK. I have a choice between importing the Micra for £75 ($93) or picking up the Splice for £22 ($27). It's actually a tough choice! Thanks for the review.

    I like the serrated blade. My job requires me to open hundreds of taped cardboard boxes and plastic wrapped boxes a day. I only use serrated blades to do my job because they work best for me.

      I can see that as well. A Milwaukee fastback with replaceable utility blades is great for boxes as well. Also, when the tape gums up your blade, just throw it away.

    Thanks for the nice review. Surprisingly, the Gerber authorized dealer in Malaysia has the last unit of Green splice and red color clutch. Both brand new (clutch still in the blister pack and splice comes in the orginal box - seller was kind enough to send me video of the splice and photo of the clutch). So i bought them. They are on the way to me. Can't wait for the mini MTs to arrive.

    It’s a great price, cheaper than the Gerber Dime. Agree that it’s a shame they didn’t make an alternate instead of one of the blades. I like the package opener on the Dime plus it’s got pliers and tweezers. The scissors look better than the ones on the Dime. Still haven’t found my perfect EDC multi tool but carry the Dime in my jeans watch pocket every day.

    I like your ideas of a key chain tool as being personal care tool primarily, for me it's the Micra which I as my travel finger nail clipper, file and tweezers. I looked for years to find clippers that were large enough to operate with my large hands yet small enough to keep in my pocket. The Micra does both.

    • @txtoolcrib
      @txtoolcrib  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Micra is also one of my favorites. There is a reason it has been produced for so many years.

      PRO-NOOB-GAMER it is always worth the price if the functionality you are looking for meets your needs. My personal opinion is that this would be a better deal around the $15 - $20 mark. I think there are some better options available for that higher price.

  • @HBSuccess

    A small serrated blade to trim cords, prune a plant, open a package etc is *much* more useful to me than kinky little straight blade, which are seldom very good quality in a $25 tool anyway.
