I completely agree with Gold Teir. It's old yes and it doesn't have all the bells and whistles as the newer HG's but what it does, it does well. The transformation is so fun and say you don't flip the hands in and you leave the head reviled it looks like an imposing figure on a throne
Nah, it likely won't get an update but future HGUC Psycho Mk-II definitely at least get the modern treat. The reason we don't get much articulations because of transformable fortress mode. They want to keep it simple.

I love the new style of snap building/ASMR aesthetic type thing you do at the start of some of these! It really helps to give an idea of how the parts fit together/how they should look.
I imagine that someone with a bit of time on their hands and some creative thinking could really make this kit look ace. It would mean losing that retro look (that I love) but you could scribe your own panel lines, do an ace paint job on it and bring the looks into 2022 and it would be awesome. You could even be painting it up as the Mk2 Psycho if that's your fancy.
This kit is so fun! Equally great to have towering over your other has on a shelf or just handle and play around with. You're spot on about it feeling like an old toy. All I kept thinking of while building it was the old Buzz Lightyear figures.

So, I just discovered something. The giant arms from the Hazel Owsla fit onto the HGUC Psycho Gundam, and those arms are double-jointed and may still support the transformation. So, if you want a DIY Psycho Gundam 1.5 and don’t mind painting, this is something you can do. I’d link some images, but apparently TH-cam doesn’t like that.
Have one in my backlog. I'm really looking forward to it since I finally got a MkII Revive. Also have the Zeta, Hyaku Shiki & Dijeh for recreating the Kilimanjaro assault. As for the yellow stickers, I'll take 'em 😅. Just had a hell of a time trying to use Gundam Marker Yellow on my HG Kampfer. It looks better after a few coats, but ugh 🙄. That's the only Gundam Marker that gives me any issue; even the EX Chrome and metallics work fine. Next time, I'm gonna try a different brand for anything yellow. 😵💫
HG psycho gundam is have a special place in my heart because is one of a gift this my dad give me and is a first gunpla this i got in my life. After he pass away every time i look at my psycho gundam is make me miss him so much. He is a best dad ever :)
Yup, and I think destroy has a much better MA mode. According to the wiki, destroy is 2m shorter than psycho at the head but 16m taller with the backpack.

When I built mine, I grabbed some 3rd party waterslide decals for it and painted some of the armor panels in different colors. between those two things, it punched the level of detail up quite a bit! Even just the decals alone would look great.
I still want this kit in 1/100 MG, will it be expensive? Most likely. Will it have a lot of plastic? Yea! Will it be huge? It most certainly will be huge!

Funny, literally JUST ordered this one. It's going to be getting a custom Titans Test Team color scheme (based on the parts we see of it in the Advance of Zeta materials) and might just end up with its arms occasionally stolen by my Hazel Owsla.
I just finished mine recently. The psycho gundam has been on my list forever. I ended up going a little crazy with the leds in it but it makes a cool night light now lol
@@snukastyle yes sir, I put fiber optics in the fingers. I cut the eyes out and head sensors and made pink lenses from old beam sabers for those and put red leds in those. All 3 chest particle beam guns are lit and the 2 verniers in the back are lit as well. Turned out to be one of my favorite builds learned alot from it used new paint for it and pla plate parts as well. Unfortunately the pics I took of it did not do it justice it's amazing in person my pics in my mind where meh
I picked one up a few weeks ago when it showed up at my local shop. Looking forward to building it. I don't know if I want to keep it original for the retro aspect or give it a paintjob to spruce it up a little.
For an older HG, the Psycho Gundam Mk 1 holds up quite well in terms of appearance out-of-the-box. Give it some panel lining, a matte top coat and maybe some water-slide decals, and it will look stellar.
I doubt it. They already released another hg psycho gundam variant but in different form known as hg psycho gm. That's doesn't have an updated joint at all

Not the biggest fan of the clicky fast cut build videos, but if you enjoy it and it gets you more views, go for it. I’m still going to watch for the rest of the reviews. Almost picked one of these up last weekend. But went for a MG tallgeese and MG sazabi ver Ka instead.
You should do a video on the different kinds of add-on kind of kits like the Docks, vehicles, transports in all the other weird Gundam non mobile suit kits

The GFAS-X1 Destroy Gundam from Seed Destiny would be cool as a high grade and it’s backpack makes it taller than the psycho Gundam.

This High Grade is really good! Very solid out of the box! I used a fluorescent pink marker for the head cameras
The question is: can you attach a normal beam saber effect part on each of the fingers?
I was able to fit the beam from a MG fine, but the HG part I tried was too narrow.
I think Bandai should make an RG for this.
