Your finished Musselburgh finally pushed me over the edge to make one this winter! It looks so cozy and unfussy. I love my head being warm but I hate my winter hats sliding up and off my head.
Toe up heel flap and gusset is a neat construction. I just knit a pair this summer and was thrilled since I gravitate towards cuff down EXCEPT when knitting my handspun. I prefer the heel flap and gusset to short row heels so I enjoyed trying out this construction and think you would enjoy it too!
Thank you so much! I'm knitting the Musselburgh for my daughter right now with 437 yds of fingering weight sock yarn on 3.25 mm needles, and I was just wondering when I should start my decreases. Now, I know. Yours turned out great, by the way!❤🧶
I'm not a big cabled sweater person in my own style but I cannot get over how beautiful your aurelia pullover is. It's absolutely stunning . Can't wait to see you model it for us when you finish it!
I have knit a Musselburgh hat in worsted weight yarn and it turned out great. My husband wears it when he is out snow blowing in the winter, and it keeps his head warm in these cold North Dakota winters!
May I ask what size you knit and at what gauge? I’m knitting my first Musselburgh for someone far away, and I fear it’s way too small. I’m using Cascade 220 Superwash merino for a 22” head and got a 6.5 stitch gauge all 3 times I tested. I finished all the increases and the hat looks child-sized! And actual measurements for comparison could help reassure me, or confirm that something’s amiss. Thanks!
I made an appointment with Ginger! I felt super lucky that she's in MA. It's something that I've considered doing for a while, but your exceptional review sealed the deal- thanks! :)
Good on you for taking on the blanket shawl project! The Sundown fabric you have created just looks so squishy, cosy and perfect. I have acquired so many sets of sweater quantity yarn but keep casting on small accessories and baby items, I think because I can't bring myself to commit to a BIG project. Maybe you can be my inspiration to finally cast on a cardigan that I've been planning all year...but then there is the Musselburgh which has been calling to me...
Amy i’m watching you and just started the 1st sleeve on the Ingrid sweater that I started 12/22 for my daughter. Like yourself i was severely procrastinating picking up for sleeves! I hope you get back to it soon.
I have a bunch of projects I am working on that I hope to finish by the end of December. If I give myself a five to ten row limit on each project I can get a lot done. For instance, one night will be mittens and a cowl, the next being a scarf and a hat. It helps kill the monotony of some projects and gives my hands a break on long purling sections in other projects. My cardigan I can only devote about three rows to before my hands start to hurt.
So happy to see a new podcast from you and be able to catch up with your latest projects ❤ also so excited to knit a pattern with you! I think I’ve decided to do the apollinos pullover for a creamy pullover
I'm also casting on a Market Henley! My son gifted me a beautiful hand dyed grayish lilac yarn from a little shop in St. Louis. It has been in my stash for a year, and is perfect for that pattern.
Is that whole color fan your colors? That's so many!! Did you make a video about getting your colors done? I know many colors that look good on me, but I'm sure there are more options than I know.
I just got that hobbii Halloween yarn in the mail! I also got several of their Christmas colors. I’m trying to learn magic loop because my 9inch circs are startling to hurt my hands. The laddering is a struggle though
i actually loooove the wider sleeves on this amy; hopefully you dont hate it too much but I think it'll look really cute and fresh! if you ever are one to remake, i'd be curious to see how the shorter raglan mods might end up
Would you be so kind as to measure something on your hat for me? I’m knitting my first Musselburgh at a 6.5 stitch gauge for a 22” head. I’m using a worsted weight that users say is more like a dk. I’ve finished the increases and am starting the straightaway, and it looks too tiny to fit an adult head. When I get a little more length knitted I’ll put it onto a 40” circular and measure its width across the straight knitting portion when laid flat. If you or someone could let me know what your hat measures laid flat in could really help me out. My hands are so arthritic that progress even this far has been pretty hard won! Thank you or any other viewer who can help me out this way!
That's so funny, I situate my Musselburgh the same way lol!!
I feel like petite knit is in her big sleeves era, the sleeves on the Dagmar sweater also look quite large!
i LOOOOVE the dagmar but no one i watch has made it! do you know if any podcasters have documented? i fear it might be too difficult for me!
@TheStitchWitchPodcast morgan unraveled and the Norwegian knitter have it in progress to my knowledge.
What is that beautiful green tweed with white flecks on your shelf? It’s perfect

WOW! that purple color made your eyes pop when you held up the skein! That will be a beautiful sweater.

The yarn you chose for the Aurelia pullover is beautiful! The color highlights the intricate stitch work and lets your knitting really shine.

You are the best ! Another fruitful podcast! ❤

Oh I love the Narcisso you're going to make. It looks really feminine and so so pretty! Will be stunning in that colour too.🤩
Both the Sari socks would look so cute (and festive) in the green 🌲
Beautiful projects! The Market Henley in that colourway is going to be sooo good 😍
You have been so busy! I can’t wait to see the finished objects! They’re all gorgeous! Beautiful yarns. Oh I can just feel it!!

I totally want to make matching socks with you haha- I went to see if Hobbii still had any but sadly sold out
I'm getting all of my wisdom teeth pulled later today. Calming my nerves by knitting and watching this :P
I’m knitting socks for each TS Era and I have that Invisible String yarn for Folklore! It looks so pretty knit up in your hat!
Beautiful projects and yarns ❤
I also love the middle colors more, love that purple too
Just an FYI - my Ingrid sweater sleeves also ended up quite wide!
The color of your Aurelia pullover is stunning!!
I just got that hobbii Halloween yarn in the mail! I also got several of their Christmas colors. I’m trying to learn magic loop because my 9inch circs are startling to hurt my hands. The laddering is a struggle though
I made Halloween socks for my daughter with the same yarn! So fun.

Love your Amy Sweater- will really suit you!
Love the color of your Amy Sweater! 🧶
Great insights 😊Lovely knitting 😊Thank you 😊
It would be fun if you used the leftover Halloween yarn to make a pair of mittens or fingerless gloves for next year to match
I love your Amy Pullover! And I think the big sleeves look great but aren’t always practical.
I love that hat!
Hi! Did u ever made a 2 Colors Musselburg?
