- Hola, A great day exploring properties for sale in Playa San Diego, El Salvador. We spent the morning with Gladys from Excellence Real Estate, checking out 3 completely different properties. We also had time to taste the local beach front cuisine and of course we needed to try a Mangoniada. Oh the taste explosion was great!
Playa San Diego is a great long white sand beach, we were really impressed.

Love the video Nicki and James. Thank you for highlighting this wonderful beach. My wife and I purchased a home here in playa San Diego, primera fila, in September 2022. We love our property and the surrounding area. The house is currently under renovation, so we're still back and forth between here and the states but we plan to move in completely in a couple months. My wife is originally from El Salvador. She fled the violence of the civil war 35 years ago. After the war, the country endured 20 years of government corruption and gang violence. She has longed for the day that she could return to a peaceful El Salvador. We really believe that time is now. President Nayib Bukele has done an extraordinary job in combating the gang problem and restoring peace and security to this beautiful country. Someone made a comment about San Diego still not being safe. Honestly, we feel perfectly safe walking through out the area. If there still are gang members here, I certainly have not seen any. I think as long as authorities continue their efforts to remove the criminal element, here and through out the country and people continue to invest in and promote tourism here, El Salvador will earn its place as one of the safest, most beautiful travel destinations in all of Latina America. And videos like yours help tremendously to get the word out that El Salvador is worth visiting and even relocating to. Saludos!

San Diego is awesome. I go there for every chance I get. My wife and I own/stay where they are having the smoothie towards the end of the video!!! I m from MN, US...love your comment. Those properties were priced fairly , I’ve seen crazy prices nowadays . Finally I decided to go back to my country , it’s time to relax and enjoy country living as supposed to be . I will keep an eye on this area .

I like property 2 and 3....I'm from Australia and in El Salvador right now only for 3 months staying in San Salvador I love it! ♥️👍😀 Its a little bit hard to navigate as I'm a Quadriplegic in a wheelchair but..... Todo Bien! 😎 I want to live here too I love the food and the people are super nice 👍

Houses in Chalatenango and San Miguel are cheaper even in Lourdes Colon but if you really like the beach maybe Bahia Dorada

Hola, Playa San Blas is a great beach, we have not seen or heard of any naturist beaches here, the country is quite conservative. 😀

After bitcoin law properties prices in THE libertad beaches increase 😔, prices in other beaches are lower
Hi - yes the properties close to the conveniences are definitely more pricey. Though it is like that in many places.
We will need to check out other beach areas.
So grateful for this however would love to see some properties in the higher quality bracket too even up to $1m❤

When is Nayib Bukele going to finish cleaning up the gangs ?
I've read they still operate in rural areas.
Also that Nayib Bukele has giving the gang leaders cell phones in prison.
Hola @Luckie337 - it is pretty incredible what Nayib Bukele has done since we have been here. All things take time and where we are in Berlin there is no issues with gangs at all.
Why are all the trees painted white at the bottom?
We are unsure and need to ask about that.
It looks like it is a form of pest control for bugs.
They are painted with cal ( mixture of Calcium Hidroxide & Water) This is to protect trees against pest (insects, ants) apparently this keeps the bugs off/away. Prevents sunscald as well.
I presume those properties are outside of gated communities and would be deemed safe areas obviously or do you recommend only living in gated communities?
Those properties are outside of their own gated communities. I think everyone can make their own decision once they have been here for a while. It depends on peoples personal situations. Many properties are well gated and fenced even when not in a community. But a community offers the ability for people to have less gates and walls if they like that option.
The gated communities are boring and you tend to have snobby neighbors. Much better to make friends in a town and become a good community member for protection.

Wow Small world, My wife and I own the place where they sell the mangonadas(smoothie). We live in the US in Minnesota. We always go for the holiday in Dec and Semana Santa (1st week of April). The day you recorded the video we were in Sonsonate. I have been going there for a long time now. I am originally from The Dominican Republic. My wife is from El Salvador. I love the people there. Hey James August here. I was wondering price of concrete is in the area? I am decorative concrete artist and wondering what the industry is like there. If they have delivery or is it all bagged concrete?
Hi August - we have been enquiry but unable to get much of an answer, as it all depends on how much you want. Most homes are made with concrete blocks here and the blocks are made here as well. Cement you purchase in bags.

@@user-qj2en9od5s hi there great to hear you are liking the videos - Bitcoin is classified as a currency here so no tax on capital gains - crypto is classified as a security so you will need to investigate. If you do it offshore and bring it in as Bitcoin you should be ok.
