    I'm an old school girl. Grease (royal crown) and water to moisturize. Love the African Pride pre-poo and the Creme of nature coconut shampoo. Gorilla Snot for edge control. Four products that's it!

      @liseg89 ...I agree 100%. I actually had to think back to when my mom use to do my hair because the butters and cremes just didn't work. BTW I'm 52 so that was a long time ago. Now my hair have zero breakage and its strong. My low porosity is no longer an issue. 🙌

    Finally somebody else who doesn't really use leave in conditioners! They don't do a thing for me either, I've tried so many. I go straight to the creams and sealants and skip leave ins entirely.

    A super moisturizing shampoo is by Mielle's Rosemary Mint Strengthening Shampoo. THIS stuff made me pick it up in the shower to double check to make sure I didn't have conditioner instead of shampoo! I wish I knew it was gonna be so nice for my hair because I would have purchased 2 of them when it was on sale at Walgreens. The deep conditioner was great too. Honestly, my hair almost felt too soft after using these products.

    ❤ I came here to educate myself for my niece. We are Puerto Rican but she’s Afro Latina with type 4b/c hair and unfortunately my sister who also has curly hair just maybe type 3 hasn’t tried to right products. So I’m excited to embark on this journey with my niece to help her achieve the most beautiful natural hair she can have. Thank you please keep posting and for us newbies try to explain what certain terms are I was lost at pre poo😂 I had to think. I’m guessing pre washing right? So that shampoo doesn’t completely strip you of everything. I’m off to watch your routine video. Blessings

    This weekend I bought two TGIN products from their Miracle RepaiRX collection. l went whole hog and brought the Deep Hydrating Hair Mask and Protective Leave In condition. I washed with Shea Moisture low porosity protein free shampoo followed by palm sized amount cheap instant coconut oil conditioner layered under lots of mask. My hair loves the mask. I wore a plastic cap without heat for 90 minutes. Rinsed then and keeping my hair soaking wet I applied the TGIN instant leave in and started styling my wash and go with an even mix of Taliah Waalib Curl Gello and As I Am curling smoothie. I combed this curling duo through section of my hair with my fingers and a denman brush until it started clumping and separating. My hair dries so quickly in the process so I kept misting with water before I moved on to the next section. When my hair was finally coiled all over I shook all the water from my hair. My hair is the longest on top and it is the thinnest. I could shake loose the products from top and crown. However, the hair strands on the sides and back shrunk tighter and close to the scalp. I honesty believe when I shook my head I nearly gave myself whiplash bc the hair on back and sides stayed sopping wet. My wash and go looked great in the beginning. It felt so moisturized. My wash and go is three days old and it is fading. I spritz with water in the morning. Even though the curls on the sides and back spring up, back of the crown which is gray white, is frizzy without curl definition. Should I keep spritzing at night too to restore moisture? Should I add oil to water spritz. When I rewash, should I eliminate/add a step or product? Or give up the wash and go? Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!!

    I absolutely love Kinky Tresses whole line. I bought the TGIN line and hated the twist cream and the butter, their DC is a must have. I will have to give the I’m a natural line you recommend. Thanks for sharing. Btw love your head wrap. Did you get it from Her Given Hair? Thanks for sharing!

      No I got the wrap from kilahcrowns. I posted a video on it! I only used the DC from TGIN. Thanks for sharing ❤️

    The “deep conditioners” you talked about are actually “hair masks” that we have to wash out after about 5-10 mins. Lol found it hard to understand at first. Amazing video!

    Hi Jenn..thank you for showing us the 4C hair products..I have been trying to find a good natural 4C hair product since I went natural in 2018...I know that each product might not work for everyone...and using alot of water in your hair works...not sure if I need to use luke warm or hot water (not scorching hot) but my hair drinks up alot of water and then shrinks...not sure what to do...

    • @JennJackson
      @JennJackson  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      My hair soaks up water as well and lets not even talk about shrinkage LOL. I just hot water in the shower (hot enough to be comfortable and I do like a hot shower). That helps open up my cuticles as well.

    I looked up the Honey Miracle Hair Mask Deep Conditioner and I’ve seen mixed reviews where people say the formula has changed, something about protein maybe. Does your hair still feel the same? It’s 18 dollars so I’m afraid to buy it and it won’t work. Also, HAAAAAAAAAYYY HAITIAN SIS

    • @JennJackson
      @JennJackson  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yeah, it is NOT cheap and I have heard about many brands changing their formulas as well! I haven't used the new one so I don't know how different it is.

    So you don't find it necessary to use an entire line...from shampoo to styler? I've read some say you should because they are formulated to work together.
    I've yet to try TGIN. I want to but every time I check in the store they're out.
