Hey everyone! Thank you for watching and sharing this week's video! To learn more about hair care ingredients and your beautiful natural hair; here is a promo code for the Natural Hair Care Wisdom Flash Cards, use code: "Wisdom10". Here's the link: curlychemistry.com/product/flashcards/
My conditioner for the month is Nexxus Humectress Protein Fusion. It’s not clean, organic or black owned, but my hair LOVES this stuff, and I do what she loves. It’s not about me. 😂
Yes, please do a video about conditioners and conditioners that are an option for deep conditioning. The best technique for deep conditioning. Thanks so much for sharing your time and knowledge! 💕
Please look at the ingredients in the Profectiv hair strengthening leave in conditioner. It says it also doubles as a deep conditioner, and as a heat protectant. (I use it and love it! I've actually tested the heat protecting quality with a receipt and a curling iron. I put some product in the middle of the receipt, and when I applied heat for 10 seconds, that section stayed white, while everywhere else the curling iron touched turned black!)
Most reasons for Dry hair are from your water, try getting a Filtered Shower head like the Monsia Kleen. Huge difference in how your hair and skin looks.
My favorite deep conditioner is Naptural 85’s plump deep conditioner it moisturizes my hair so well, I just love her products. I’m a high porosity naturalists and I understand she is too, which gives me the confidence to continue with the products.
I use and love the creme of nature argan oil moisturizing shampoo! I have medium density hair with very fine strands, so this shampoo helps me prevent breakage when shampooing. I can literally detangle my hair with this shampoo, because it has a lot of slip! I use this for my 2nd wash after the ORS olive oil clarifying shampoo (because I have hard water where I live). My go to conditioner is a leave in that doubles as a deep conditioner.- Profectiv, hair Strengthener. It's a miracle for my fine, high porosity strands! It moisturizing and strengthens it, plus, it acts as a very good heat protectant as well!
Creme of nature , OMG. When I first used it. Love love loved it. They have since reduced the argan oil. (I believe) Or whatever it was. Really believe it was argan oil. Hair was so slippery. I loved it.
I had used Pantene Nutrient Blends Miracle Moisture Boost with Rose Water shampoo and conditioner a while ago. I hadn't used it in a while but I remember really enjoying this line. I'm back to using it and believe it will be one of my favorites.
I would LOVE to see an in-depth video on Cécred. The only hair scientist/chemist I've seen talk about it is the one they hired. While I'm inclined to try it, I need to see a review from someone who not only isn't biased, but actually knows WTF they're talking about.
I feel it’s good for people with color treated or chemical processes hair. For some reason it did not do well on my low porosity 3c/4a coarse hair or my my daughters high porosity 2C/3c fine hair. I fell it is too heavily perfumed.
Yes please do a video about conditioners. Also can you do a video about hair care for cancer patients. I lost my hair during chemo and it's coming back very slowly and i think my curl pattern has changed; it's loser.
3C /low porosity hair- My conditioner for the year since transitioning my hair to natural is CurlSmith Multi-Tasking Conditioner which also works as a leave-in. Haven’t found another product comparable that does both with my low porosity hair. Note: my hair reacts to coconut in the ingredient like in Nexus and Renpure but loves the coconut in Shea Moisture. Not sure why that is so I try to stay away from coconut oil entirely unless it’s unrefined organic straight out of the jar 🫙.
I’m going through a hair crisis right now…….I’ve been using Aussie miracle moist line, which my hair has been loving for years; but I have a habit of leaving my twists in 2 weeks or so without taking care of them all the way until my next wash day. I noticed my hair has gotten dry the last couple of months. I did plenty of research on hair & everyone was hyping up the Crème of nature Argan oil line. I bought the shampoo/conditioner & the leave in hair milk. I always pre-poo in four sections before washing. On with the show: The shampoo was fine, but once I put the conditioner in, it was like my strands got stiff & stuck together. I couldn’t even run a comb throughout it. It was extremely alarming. I lost a lot of strands trying to get through the hair. Washed it out after a few minutes, then applied the leave in hair milk which was fine. I figured I give the line again a week later for my next wash day. I experienced the same exact thing! What in the world is going on?! It was a pretty scary experience for me. Has anyone else had this happen?
When you do the conditioner video maybe break it down by category. Like which are best for moisture, then another video on most effective proteins and then the third video can be a detailed explanation on bonding treatments and the best ones since everybody and their mom now has a bonding line. I also want to know when it’s appropriate to use a protein treatment vs a bonding treatment
Love the video! My favorites are Kinky Curly Come Clean shampoo for monthly clarifying and TGIN Moisture Rich Sulfate Free Shampoo for weekly cleansing & detangling.
I have been only using nowiamnappy deep conditioner oat and aloe for the last year, and when I don't deep condition, I use Elite Hair Care moist and repair. They are both influencers here on TH-cam. Elite Hair Care influencer is a Cosmetologist, and nowiamnappy influencer is a chemist.
My most favorite of Giovanni is their Smooth As Silk deep moisture conditioner (and shampoo). Both are extremely moisturizing and have great slip. I call them the dynamic duo😂
I've been using the adwoa blue tansy conditioner and its so good in my hair. It feels like its both strengthening my hair and keeping it soft. I wash every 4/5 days so I don't do deep conditioner anymore, but this one feels like a mini DC I've so been loving the As I Am Rice water shampoo so I want to give the matching conditioner a try. This shampoo has done wonders for my dry scalp its wild.
Love the Dr. Miracles Hydrating & Strengthening Deep Conditioner. Would like a redo of rinse out conditioners that could be used as leave ins. Thanks for the great content as always! ❤
@@CurlyChemistry I watched the video just now! Thank you so much! I have been combing that front part of my hair roughly lately, and I've noticed that it had been looking kind of mushy.
My favorite conditioner is Curl Junkie Curl Rehab moisturizing hair treatment. Love this one but looking for one I can find with similar properties that’s more readily available. Looking forward to your conditioner review!
*Aphogee 2min Reconstructor is my ride or die!* *My staple for the past 3 years are Kinky Curly Come Clean, African Pride Moisture Miracle Shampoo, 2min, Camille Rose Aloe Butter Gel and Wetline/Ecostyler.* *Please can you discuss about Polyquaterniums and how to remove them especially 10 and 11 and the ingredients to look out for? I heard they are tougher than Silicones to remove.*
Great video. I am looking forward to one on conditioners, so please. One of my favorite conditioners (rinse out and deep conditioner) is the Grow Me Super Moisture Plus line by Marcella Ellis. It has great slip, it leaves my hair super moisturized. Because it has biotin, my is strengthened and yet soft. I found it at Sally’s Beauty.
@@CurlyChemistry It really really is!! And so dang cheap!! I need to just add some vanilla fragrance oil and put it in a pink bottle so I stop wasting money on other brands 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the video. Can you do a comparison between Innersense and Aveda’s ‘Be Curly’ line? Also, can you cover parabens, formaldehyde releasers, and other preservatives?
I am using Hawaiian Silky 14-1 Shampoo and Conditioner Miracle Worker line with an astringent for my scalp. "Sista Girl" seems to like this product line. It has water as the first ingredient so, the Hawaiian Silky 14:1 Conditioner.
I have the creme of nature argan shampoo and it does make my hair soft after washing. My hair gets super manageable as long as a Little. Moisture is added as my hair is thin and light. I recently brought a Dove dryness and itch releif shampoo and my hair felt so coarse after washing it 😩
@@CurlyChemistry Jamaican, black castor oil, strengthen and restore conditioner with Shea, butter, peppermint, and apple cider vinegar by Shea moisture
The best for oily and dry scalp is a multipeptide collagen and keratin treatment with growth factors. Skinlyte has a soap that is loaded not only with collagen but also keratin peptides. It is called Hair & Whole Body Bar. According to what I read on Amazon, it is fast absorbed because it has an enhanced peptide binding enhancement technology which produces water molecules in a condensation reaction that hydrates skin and hair naturally. It repairs, grows hair, naturally moisturizes, rebuilds and strengthens hair and skin. I got it at Amazon and I am impressed with new benefits I discover every time I use it. I noticed many improvements in my hair, skin and nails. What I like best about it is that it's all natural and without harmful chemicals such as synthetic dyes, fragrance, SLS or preservatives.
Hi CC thank you for this informed video . I was just discussing the need for moisturizing shampoo in my wash day regimen. I use abnd swear by the Giovanni Deep Moisture Conditioner. Love it!
