I really love your hair😍❤️. I incorporated some of your tips over the last 7 months and I have experienced A LOT of growth retention. My hair is past my shoulders now, the goal is your current length lol. Waist length would be bomb of course but my arms hurt thinking about it 😂😂
I'm sooo happy to hear that you've seen progress!🥹💖 Keep up the great work and we'll get there together!!
Esfmfdd😊
The longer my hair gets the harder it gets to tends to
I think that you are a very pretty girl to me do you have kids yet
I want long, thick and healthy hair. These are my hair goals.
It will be yours!!!✨❤️
@@AshleyMasse AMEN!
U might have psoriasis, I have the same thing. To avoid your scalp itching or peeling, try to use head and shoulders shampoo, and wash your hair once a week. It will prevent that happening
I have scalp psoriasis...cut out caffeine! Chocolate, tea, and coffee will cause flair ups in your scalp, forehead, and behind your ears! Keep a food journal and take note of how your scalp reacts to diffetent foods. Different products will cause flair ups too so watch for that.
Thanks for the tips!! I don’t drink caffeine nor eat anything else you listed. I pretty much eat the same things, but I’ll still see a professional about it!!
@@AshleyMasse ok..also environmental factors cause flair ups too
Mix some magnesium and distilled water and spray on a clean scalp a max of 3 times a week ❤ 2:15
Stress and terrible people also cause flare ups.
“Tea” shows you’re pretty ignorant because there are 1000 different types of tea and many will help your hair grow btw
Those are some juicy twist😂❤waist length hair goal over here
Thank you so much!! Waist length hair is already yours!!🙌🏾✨
@@AshleyMasseI decree and declare that waist length hair is alteady mine, in the mighty name of Jesus. 🙏🏼🙌🏽
@@tiffanysimms4454Amen!
i have never seen a wash day this simple. i love it and the fact that its clearly working for u just shows how different our hair can be
Awww this makes me happy🥰 Thank you!!
Hi Ashley it's good to see you feeling better ☺️ 😊 I Don't care about hair length I just want my hair to be healthy and thick that is my hair goal.
Thank you so much!!💖 And health over length always!!!
Glad that you show how much hair has shedded in your video!
Always!🫶🏾
I kid you not. My scalp looked like that for a very long time and after using organic aloe vera gel as a prepoo, I noticed the scales and flakes didnt return. So I repeated it at my next shampoo day and they have not returned, over 6 years now. Dont know if this will help but it certainly helped me. Your hair looks amazing🎉❤
You look just like Jewelliana Palencia when she was younger, the hair and skin. You are so beautiful!
I think they are sisters
My hair is about shoulder length, the back of my head is longer than the front, which is why i wanna balance them and bring the both sides past should length.
I always wanted waist length hair but i need to focus on going past shoulders for now.
I’ll be follow your hair routine and will be watching more of your videos. Gorgeous hair by the way! 😍 such a dream
I have seborrheic dermatitis and have dealt with it for the past 15 years. My scalp flakes in the same exact spot. But I recently cut out all dairy and my scalp no longer flakes. If I have a high sugary snack day, I'll also flake. Since the issue is fungal/yeast, it makes sense that the sugars would be the issue. Changing my diet has been hard lol but i feel better now this year than i have my entire life so it's absolutely worth it if anyone else is experiencing anything similar. The dermatologist just wanted to give me steroid treatments and i dont believe in treating symptoms instead of the cause. Especially when it deals with manipulating my hormones.
I LOVE Design Essentials line! You are gorgeous! Thanks for the vid💛
Yess girl, you are inspiring so many of us out here! You are the reason i started rocking my twist with no shame thoughout the week. Im seeing so much growth because of that! THANK U soo much! Keep up spreading your journey. I looove your content omg. Loves from Cape Verde Africa
Your hair has grown so much! You’ve helped inspire me to go natural, and every time I feel down with my hair I watch you to remind myself that my hair is pretty as well. Thank you!
That's so sweet to hear! You are beautiful. Keep going and shining💖
I've also been growing my hair out and can't wait to try some of your tips
So glad you’re feeling better!!! Your twist look amazing, I recently just lost a good amount of my hair due to medical issues but I can’t wait to start growing my hair out again!!! We would love to see how you stretch your twist! Im a 4c girl so the shrinkage for me is just disrespectful 🤣
I'm so sorry to hear about your hair loss, but I'm glad you're on the road to recovery Dana!🫂♥️ I'll be sure to do a video on stretching my twists/hair. Shrinkage can be very mean at times, but it’s considered a good thing!😭
I'm going for ankle length hair ultimately. For the end of this year, I'm aiming for waist length❤
Your hair is so nice and healthy! I've been growing my hair for about 2 years now and noticed keeping it simple works best and washing once a week has helped. I also began using an organic hair oil which has been super helpful for my scalp and doing two strand twists on myself every so often. Glad you're feeling better btw
I had scalp issues and I stopped using a lot of products. Hair products can make it worse. I now use SEEN and keep it simple. Your hair is beautiful.
I’m glad you found what works for you and thank you so much!🙏🏾
As I Am is good for my hair. I’m tightly coiled. I’m also using Brahmi to strengthen the hair shaft and root
I definitely wash my strands. All that product from two weeks needs to come out and does not just “rinse out”
That part!!!
26:18 Aww Ashley! I literally thought you were talking directly to me even though I have been too shy to leave comments on your channel lately, lol! I've only been subscribed to you for a few months now and I'm amazed at all the improvement I've seen in my hair! With your help, my hair has made it to its best state yet in all of my natural hair journey and I thank you so so much for all your encouragement and helpful tips!!
God bless and reward you, sister, for all the effort and work you put into these videos!!
Sending lots of thanks and blessings your way😘!
And this is why I do it🥹 I’m all teary eyed reading your comment. This means the world to me and I’m so happy your natural hair journey is headed in a wonderful direction because you found yourself here. God bless you!!! And I appreciate you so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you❤️❤️❤️🫂
@@AshleyMasse 💕💕💕
I’m on the same journey and it’s so amazing how much your hair has grown since part one of this video😍😍😍😍really been a help for me‼️
I'm so happy to hear that!! 😊 We're in this together!🤍🤍
I was expecting some long and tedious process but it was perfectly simple and easy to replicate. Thank you ❤❤❤❤
You are welcome😊
Your hair looks great and it's working for you and it's thriving.I also wash my strands but not vigorously more like massaging in between my hands because vigorous rubbing causes tangling. You can loose less hair on wash day by detangling before anything else dont detangle after each different product but at the end.ONLY a suggestion, what works for you works for you😊
My teenage daughter use to have the same problem with her scalp. Her scalp problems went away after I started making African black soap shampoo with carrier oils & peppermint essential oil on her scalp. I also used Ucuuba butter with oils as a moisture sealer. She hasn't had a scalp problem in 4 years now.
Were at the same length! It’s a beautiful season. I’ve been doing mini twists and mini braids. Mielle messed me up a bit in density, but still gained length. Currently sticking to liquid multivitamins and taking vitamin D consistently as of last month. Let’s get these inchesss.💕💕
Mini twists and braids are the way to go! I'm happy to hear that you're still seeing growth despite your experience with Mielle products. Keep shining!💕
Mielle needs to be sued cause it messed my hair up to used it to
love your energy ❤
Your hair is beautiful. I’m on a journey to get my hair at my waist as well. I will look for the products you suggested. I had already been using rosemary spray on my hair. I mix my rosemary with cloves.
Sulfate 8 is so old school! It never fails. I remember it as a kid.
Anytime my scalp is itchy, I go back to the basics like sulfate 8
Apple Cider Vinegar rinses help with scalp flaking! And monthly detox shampoos. Sulfate free shampoo only doesn’t get product buildup off the scalp. Hope that helps! ❤
Thanks for the tips! I'll have to try that!💗
@@AshleyMassegirl DONT try ACV rinses with scalp psoriasis! Trust me, as a fellow scalp psoriasis sufferer, stick with Sulphur 8. It stinks but you can make it less noticeable with essential oils and a yummy leave-in (I use lavender oil & Knot Today leave-in and the smell totally masks the sulphur). ACV will make your scalp sores open up and become inflamed. My scalp used to bleed with ACV until I stopped using it and the sores closed. It’s not dandruff and cannot be treated like it!
How often do you do the apple cider vinegar rinse?
@@drenaejajI do mine once a month. It works! I use ac vinegar with the mother, usually 1 part to 2 parts bottled water. Put ina spray bottle and spray my scalp really really good and massage it in. Leave in about 10 min and rinse really good and then do my normal wash routine.
I can’t believe this video popped up for me. I have the same hair goals and I suffer from scalp psoriasis on and off! I’m happy I found your page!
Gorgeous hair!! Can you make a video on how you maintain the twists throughout the week?
You remind me of my mom when she was younger and she had the same type of hair❤ Rip🥲🙏🏾
Thank you for the words of encouragement! This is the Start of a new journey for me and I am so glad I am not alone. Thank you
You are so welcome, you got this!!❤️
girl I've been waiting for this video since forever!!!! glad you finally made a Part 2❤
Hope you enjoyed it!🤗🩷
Love your hair!. My hair goal is bra strap length and I'm nearly there. I keep my protective styles simple I normally do two strand twist.
It shows that afro hair can grow long 😊❤
me too! good luck to us on our journey 😊💕
@nekesa6429 yeah definitely good luck to us!. With perseverance we will definitely achieve our goals 🙌
I love two strand twists!! They’re so easy and versatile! Wishing you the best along your journey🥰❤️
Hi I just wanted to say I love your voice. I like how you enunciate your words. Its so easy on the ears. Have a good day.
Yesss!! Please share a video showing how you elongate your twists please 😊🙏🏽
Thank you for the advice ❤and I love your hair❤ I don’t do that much to my hair either. I just put it in the style and leave it for a couple of months and redo it Over because my hair wouldn’t let me mess with it less touching More growing.❤❤❤❤❤❤
i have those same dry patches on my scalp!!😲😲😲 plsss lmk what your doctor says about it when you get that update!
Everything is so crisp and clean. I love thiss
Thank you!😊
Video on stretch twists. Yeah🎉🎉🎉
Coming sooonnnn🤭
This was so soothing to watch ❤
watching this made me give my hair some TLC😍🥰💞
Please film the video for maintenance, moisturizing, hydration, and reducing tangling.
Got it!! Thank you for the suggestion
That's great to see a dermatologist. I deal with eczema. My scalp gets worse as I eat certain foods. Maybe try figuring out what you may be allergic to. Sometimes allergic food reactions show up later in life. Perhaps try changing what you eat to show a possible allergic reaction to a good. This is strictly my opinion. I hope it helps.
Thank you so much for your input! I’ll definitely consider that
On the road to knee length hair!! It’s already mid rib!!maybe 3or more inches from waist so I’ll b waist length by new years 🎉
Those twists are so FULL 🤩
if u still don't believe in washing the tips of your hair instead of washing your hands, wash your elbows and let the water flow down to your hand ,lets see if the hand is clean😭😭
Video tried everything to get my hair to grow but nothing happened. And I'm so glad that you're feeling much better, WELCOME BACK ASHLEY
Have you tried collagen for hair skin and nails ? That’s what’s working for me
If you’re still looking for a dermatologist I recommend Dr.Howard. She is a black dermatologist in NYC. Her practice is called Active Dermatology.
That’s who I met at the event I mentioned!! I definitely have to make an appointment with her now
Love this video! Regarding a flaky scalp, what has helped me so much is Glover’s Medicated Shampoo. This shampoo has cleared the flaking and scaling of my scalp. Just make sure to follow up with a moisturizing shampoo 😊
That's great to know, I'll look into that product!😊
Ashley, you are so beautiful and that pink sweater is 👏🏾💕. Yasss team natural. The twist are looking so lush 🤗
Thank you so much 🤗
Your hair looks super beautiful ❤.....in the beginning i even thought you had hair extensions in. Please look into using Neem powder or leaves for hair spray. I had multiple scalp issues but Neem hair spray cleared it up easily.
I use rosemary water too! This lady at my job put me on.
She knows what’s up!😂🤍
Love your hair as always! Thank you for releasing this part 2! I feel like I'm such a lazy natural b/c I tend to stick with braid-outs and I've found an amazing combo that just works for me. But my hair goals is to continue the health of my hair and grow my hair past my shoulders, it always gets stuck above my shoulders lol. I was diagnosed with scalp psoriasis by my dermatologist last year and she prescribed me with some medicated hair grease and it works well! So I highly recommend to go to a dermatologist if you can. Can't wait to see you document your hair growth journey!
Try using the Sulfur 8 in the blue jar. It doesn’t smell as bad
Okay!! Thank you!😊
I have the same problem with my scalp. I use black soap shampoo and it lathers really well. And you know your hair clean after using it
Butt length is my goal it's currently mid back slightly below bra!! You're hair looks great!
My hair goals:
I've been trying to understand my hair for my entire life. My mom does my hair but I want to learn how to do it on my own and learn how to help her with hers when needed. She relaxed my hair. It's very coarse so it ended up being texlaxed. Even so, I am now a transitioner as of June 2024. I want to transition back to natural hair, learn how to properly take care of my hair, and grow it to at least waste length. I don't want it too long because I love changing up my styles often and some days I'm fighting for my life not to just go bald so styles like chiney bumps (bantu knots) come in handy. I just want to learn and be happy with it. Then I can help my children one day to learn their hair as well :) I also have a lot of hair trauma so I'd love to work through that too...
Thank you for this video beautiful!!! I was looking for a new protective style to do and now my hair is in twists and i think it so nice. I look forward to seeing the growth and your twists look so beautiful!!!❤
I'm so happy you found a new style to try, I love twists so much. I can't wait to possibly hear more about your growth journey too!💖
I love your videos ❤❤❤❤, for your
Edges, add a good hair oil to it, and then massage it with a hair massaging tool or your fingertips. And you can see results maybe within 2 to 3 weeks or a month❤❤❤.
Loving It!! I'm loving your videos, keep em coming!!!
You're the best, thank you!❤️❤️❤️
Hey girl! You may want to check the ingredients in your hair products because sometimes even if it's natural, it can cause flare ups. Also, check your diet. Anything like white bread, white sugar, white rice, shellfish, too much red meat, too much sugary foods and drinks, and dairy can cause flare - ups.
Any tips on growing thicker hair? My hair is so thin and I want to grow much thicker hair 🥹
I suggest Use grease after styling every wash day
I was waiting for this video!!
Thank you for showing the hair shedding. I always wonder how I'm not bald.
Can you make a video on other ways you style your hair other than twist pls☺️
Sure! Any suggestions?
Definately see I dermatologist. Just saw one recently and had to get a biopsy done. He then gave me scripts for 3% ketoconazole shampoo and a steriod cream. Also wipe down/rinse off bottles because in between washes the build up on the bottles can be harboring microscopic bacteria/mold. Continue being blessed and sharing your journey with us.
I always love your twist, I just wish I can sit there and take the time to do a real twist out 😂… but my goal is also waist length! ❤
It takes a lot of time, but I believe in you Kareemah!🤍🤍☺️
@@AshleyMasse one day!! lol 😩😂
Wow, such beautiful thick hair, it must take so long to wash, condition dry and then style.
Hey Ashley,I had to cut all my hair off because of perms so I will start to grow my hair back...
Hi, I’m new here your hair is absolutely beautiful! Love the shine I never thought of using mousse for twist so definitely gonna try I been wanting a fluffy twist look similarly to yours so can’t wait to try.❤❤❤❤
Welcome!! Glad you're here! I hope trying mouse/foam works out beautifully for you😊💖
My hair goal is your hair now
Simply perfect💖💖
My scalp used to have that exact same condition it was a reaction from a hair care product . Sulfur 8 is ok but you’ll benefit better from Head & shoulders shampoo with the Almond on it. Hope it helps. I wash my hair the same way scalp scrub, then scrub hair in between my hands brush from the ends up and braid it in the shower. Head and shoulders once a month.
I had them and omg it freeked me out ... I opted to wash my hair everyday without any shampoo or conditioner. It went all clean .
I love those "braids" ❤ looking amazing ❤❤❤❤❤ consider trying vichy shampoo DERCOS anti dandruff. there's a gentle formula and another stronger... maybe helps with those things on your scalp. First wash you let sit the foam for a couple of minutes (follow the instructions recomended and quit if you notice itchy scalp) i had similar scalp and that product helped a lot
I'm finally at waist length and goal is now butt length. But I'm a long term transitioner. And handling both textures is really really really getting to me.
Twists are luscious!!
I really love your hair growth Ashley. I would really love to do same cos I really did the big chop and I'm hoping to get the same results as yours😊
Thank you for sharing information about hair treatments
hi ashley!! viewer from the uk here, i recommend using the spray version of sulfur 8, same effect, but doesnt really smell.
love your vids!!
Hii Gia! I had no idea they had a spray😮 Tysn, I need to get it asappp😭 I’m so happy you like my videos!!🥰
I been doing twist all summer because I don’t like the heat with my hair out 😭 and I seen a difference with my hair growth! So I’m a twist out girl over here, enjoy the video 🥰🥰🥰
Yessss!!❤️🙌🏾
Hi, you explained that you have a form of dermatitis - scalp psoriasis in your scalp. The last thing your problem area needs is two or three products with many listed artificial chemicals added! This may well be the cause of your flakey scalp. Your hair Dermatologist will tell you the same. Yes, Sulphur 8 is a brilliant product for the scalp! Keep using it! Sulphur is very good for the skin. Oh! and I'm glad you're well!! Your hair is beautiful! My hair is also growing back from hair loss to now just below my neck. All compliments Ayurvedic DIY oil.
Your hair looks so pretty!!😻😻
Thank you!!❤️
I have scalp psoriasis as well. Once I focused on gut health, my scalp improved! I take sea moss (I get mine from Herbal Vineyards) and yeah, it has helped my scalp so much. I also drink ACV with warm water on an empty stomach each morning. As well as trying to be more active each day (goal of 10,000 steps/day) but for the scalp, I used design essentials scalp serum (it’s green) and that’s amazing!! I wear wigs so it’s convenient for me.
Ahhh, I was just watching old videos because I was wanting a new video ❤
Awww 😭♥️ I’m hereee! Tysm for the support
Very educational👏🏾👏🏾❤️
She's gorgeous 😭 wtf❤
I know you're using rosemary, but that might be irritating your scalp. I also have used sulphar 8 in the past but just a thought. Try switching out the rosemary for something else and see what happens.
I have thick hair (not as thick as yours) so I often have scalp issues. I've found my scalp issues have to do with mold or mildew on the scalp and in the hair not a skin condition. That Sulfur 8 will definitely do the trick along with putting Tea Tree oil on your hair. If it is mold or mildew try not to go to bed with wet hair wrapped in a bonnet, try a satin/silk pillow case instead. The bonnet locks in the moisture but your hair because of its thickness, needs to have air circulation.
“The proof is in the pudding.” Love the energy sis😂😂
😂😂❤️
Hellooo, first i just love ur hair so much its so cute and pretty. My hair is pretty short, i really wanna grow it long and thichker and shinier that's my goal. 🙏Bless you
Love this! Do you was weekly?
Aaaahhh, I love your hair videos
Thank you!😊💕
I wish I could take care of my hair like this, I do have a dandruff and i usually am embarrassed about it
You should try Nizorol Shampoo. I had the same scalp condition as you and it works wonders for me.
What blow dryer are you using? Amazing results!!
Hi! It was mentioned in the video and tagged on products under this video. It’s from Shark Beauty
@@AshleyMasse thank you!! Sorry about that!! 🙈
yasss waist length is my goal too❤
Perioddd
Can you also do a video when you take it down and wash it?
Of course!❤️
