Excellent video and The Absolutely Best Choice Ever of riding music for that road at 3.05! Brilliant...........problem will be getting it out of my head LOL!
Another good watch, and that is definitely one of my favourite roads definitely in my top 5 we call that the Melton TT , and your right it’s one dangerous, but very fun roads much more fun on a sunny winters day , well put together as ever , stay safe both 😎👌🙏🥰🇬🇧🏍
Yep, I've heard it called the Melton TT 👍👍Quite easy to get too carried away on that road but so many hidden dips and tightening corners. Thanks again for watching, appreciate it. Ride safe.
Just seen this video, used to live in Melton and when I passed my test it was my favourite ride out. when I did my bikesafe course I was following a police bike at more than legal limits through those bends(such fun) Nothing wrong in a pork pie with the king of cheeses. Enjoyed watching that brought back many memories, so decided to do it again soon.
My dad was a prison officer at Gartree, we lived on the estate before moving to Foxton. You can turn right just after that bridge at the bottom of the hill (coming from The Langtons), go over the A6 into Foxton and the turn for the Locks is just outside the top of the village. Coming into Foxton you can take first left and go over the swingbridge that strides the canal or take the main street and go over a steep hump back bridge. The Black Horse in Foxton is a good pub. I didn't know they've limited the road to 50mph (Melton side of the A47), It was always just the Harborough end, bugger!...mind you...I'm sure it's only a suggestion :) Totally agree about the 30 limits. Take care both :)
Foxton is a really nice area, we need to explore the area more. The 50 limits are arriving on loads of half decent B roads, sign of the safety culture risk adverse times. Thanks for watching and take care
Great video. Being local to this area, full of memories. School trips to fox ton locks, first speeding ticket at fox ton locks road off A6 and many runs down the 6047. Always a magnet for police as well known biking road. So many other good roads off this one. Even after 40 years riding, still some nice surprises.
Thanks Andrew, appreciate you saying👍 We definitely need to explore more of the area. I'm in my 40th year of riding motorcycles, still love it. Thanks for watching
We were just lucky with the weather. Hope that new Tiger of yours is going well? I do love the camera, impressive battery life compared to the Gopro s.
This should be on telly. Litter bugs (😡) jobsworth cops (🤦🏻♂️) interesting and scenic places, and an awesome piece of road in between 👍🏼 Love a nice bit of Stilton 😍 Not a fan of the jelly in a pork pie though 😞 perhaps I’ll grow into it 🤷🏻♂️ Great video, thanks!
Thank you for the kind words. I've more time for the Police, perhaps we looked faster than we were going. Folks who through rubbish out the window while you're following 😡😡 Pork Pie and Stilton cheese is the perfect picnic
Really enjoyed our ride out on these roads yesterday was just a bit cold! We only went as far as Langton garden centre and stopped for lunch in the cafe which was lovely, but been to Foxton Locks before and loved it. Really enjoying all the local ride videos lately, very inspiring as we live in Bramcote Nottingham so can do all the routes you do 😊 The new 360 footage looks great too!
Glad you enjoyed your ride out, its a lovely area. Think you are only about half an hour north of us, so I'm sure you would recognise many of the roads we ride. I love the 360 cam, just trying to get past the embarrassment of walking around with a pole and a camera on the end.
Lovely roads and destination. Foxton Lock looks like a midweek destination with the amount of visitors it attracts on sunny days I understand the B6047 is popular with bikers, hence the cameras and police - spoil sports ☹️ I enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing Having walked most of the southern canals I know Caen Hill Locks near Devizes has a staircase of 29 locks, I think there’s another one in the Midlands that beats that
Foxton locks and the surrounding roads are great and one of our favourite destinations. Always nice to hear someone enjoys some of our little vids. Thank you for watching
Many many moons ago I witnessed a similar experience on that bend to you, I was in a group of advanced riders leaving the locks and approaching that bend the rider in front of me on an Yamaha XJ900 bottled the bend, comfort braked, the bike stood up and ended up going straight on into the field, thankfully bike and rider were totally unscathed
Yep, I'm not advanced trained but it's never a good idea to get on the front brake mid corner. Thanks for dropping by our little channel. Merry Christmas and best wishes
@@Banditmanuk for us we are ready and waiting although for Spain, think it will be June when they allow Brits. Also we have to see if GC and Slovenia is on the UKs green list, but we are ready and so eager to get going again.
@@Canarymotorcycletours Must be so difficult to make plans. Fingers crossed for you, if nothing else its given you chance to ride and have the island to yourselves. Cheers and take care.
Lovely road, great looking bikes too. Will have to ride it when I'm in that part of the country, shame it's so far away. I absolutely adore Blue Stilton cheese. Lots of inconsiderate drivers around, eh?
Yep some great roads in that area, worth a look if you're ever this way on. Glad someone else enjoys my favourite cheese, Carol hates the stuff 😀 Thanks for watching and I guess all of us who ride bikes have got to be careful with inconsiderate drivers.
dirty bastid throwing their rubbish out the window! :-( Looks a very fun road for bikers. Loved the lock visit, that looks right like my cup of tea for a visit... although you can keep your moldy cheese! :D I'll have some pork pie though! :D Brill to have another vlog from you both :-) The Insta360 shot as you had it follow the drain was brill BTW :D
Aye.. THERE are everywhere !!! ....eegits on the road ...thanks for sharing....stay safe

Good video, brings back many good memories as an ex Meltonian I used to ride that road most Sundays. In the summer its like Brands hatch.
