Clicked immediately because I live in Leicestershire, then I started recognising where you were, but you kept saying Badon hill and I thought, I have never heard of it, until I realised when I saw the Quarry that you were at Bardon hill , just up the road from me, I'm in Bagworth, I love living here and I'm going to go gold spotting from now on on my walks 😄 I highly recommended Thringstone woods for panning 😊
Just stumbled upon your channel mate. The title had me 👀 and your name is class haha. I'm up 1616 ways recently found a few specs at a beautiful spot full of bedrock just up my side of the snakes pass Road 🎉
Some of the oldest fossils in the world were found in Leicestershire. The Charnia was discovered in the Charnwood Forest area (that is where Charn in Charnia is from). Local legend has it that it was discovered by a classmate of Sir David Attenborough.
huh i didn't know there was gold anywhere else in the uk other than wales and scotland:) that looks like a fantastic area for walking, really beautiful.
Make sure you check your self for ticks after walking through that bracken. You don’t want Lymes disease, you’re screwed if you get that to a life of agony.
Have you ever found any decent size nuggets with the pan. What's the best tips you can give a Glasgow boy if he felt like starting out after watching you pan.
Unfortunately, I haven't come across any decent nuggets yet, but I will keep searching, and the best tip I can give you is just to get out there and search 👍
That river looks lovely and good for a part of a walk. I live in South Leicestershire and walked up in Charnwood no end of times and never seen a brook like that up there. Where is it mate?
Not without land owners permission and following uk gold panning regs..There are a cpl places where you can obtain a permit . Google is your friend . Where i live the fishery board do not allow it at any time of year even if you have landowners permission.
There's no regs or license you can obtain to go hobby goldpanning in england . Scotland does have a good panning guidance, tho. All minerals in england are owned by the Crown estate, not the land owners, but they tolerate hobby goldpanning, and land owner permission should be seeked . Hope this helps 👍
Cornwall has produced substantial quantities of gold over the centuries also silver. Its the most diversified mineralisation area possibly of any where in the world. Once the largest producer of the world's tin and copper but also wolfram and uranium was mined commercially. Most metals have been recovered but not always commercially.
Noone knows how much gold Cornwall produced as it's likely the a lot of mine owners didn't know gold was present in ores but the smelters did. Nice little earner on the side..
Im from near where you was and i have a rough idea where you was sluicing and there is a couple of other places that have all the signs that you might of got some better results
Alright mate is it ironstone quartz which is a good indicator for river Gold Nicely done theres gold there a Big Hello From The North Riding of Yorkshire the sea on the tyne and tees has gold you might want to have a look 5 specks excellent
They are allegedly according to the BGS disbanded mineral reconnaissance Team 7 locations in Leicestershire that contain gold. I had a go at this area and didn’t find any on my first try. However I started panning around my local area in Nottinghamshire and I have found traces of Gold in 2 different locations 1st Mill Hill Spinny & 2nd Fairham Brook between ruddington and silverdale. The gold specimen video is on my channel. I have more pictures & your welcome to come look for yourself to clarify if your near south Nottinghamshire. Thanks for the video God bless you
A man after my own heart , and yes, definitely gold to be found in few areas in Leicestershire and well done on finding the gold in Nottingham. I will check your channel out. Thanks mate 👍
Apologies if this question has been asked before but 1 who is the legal owner of gold if you find it on someone else's land and 2 is HMG going to have say in previous metals being found? Cheers.
Did you know that the basalt in Derbyshire contains gold as well. In the 1970s a Canadian company put in plans to be able to super mine in Matlock bath. The gold is in fine particles and I believe it was Victoria and the former Queens’s wedding rings were made from Derbyshire Goldl
No mate, I think I'm gonna leave the exploring videos alone to many people doing them . Hardley got any views on the ww2 bunker, so I think I'll stick with the gold panning videos👍

How much weight of gold is average per day of a 5 hour shift in uk. I want to make a ring from my own gold and would need around 5grams

Would there be gold in the Coventry area bud?
No
Try around Nuneaton. i think bgs found some specks somewhere round there 👍
What licence do you have ?
There are no licenses for the hobby gold panner .The Crown estate owns all the minerals in the uk but tolerates hobby goldpanning 👍
I’m sure if you buy land you own the sporting and mineral rights.

Baden hill?? Im pretty sure its Bardon hill

Nearly all the gold you see in the shops was once dust, it is just the amount of dust you find, nuggets are very rare worldwide.
