Slowly but surely, they are starting to replace the European manufacturers in new car sales here in South Africa.
Yes, I've been working on a project for industrial transformation recently, delving into the development history of many rapidly growing industrial regions in China. It's evident that they realized early on the importance of not relying long-term on low value-added manufacturing, as it could be replaced for various reasons. Therefore, they have been continuously upgrading their industries, moving towards the field of scientific and technological research and development, a process that has lasted nearly 20 years. Chinese people often worry about not being diligent enough or not doing well enough, so they start planning for the next ten or even twenty years while taking this step.

What is driving all of this? Simple, China is just more capable, more educated and has an amazing culture that understands the importance of family and togetherness. Everything that America is not.
if China can make the best out of this US sanctions and tariff restrictions later, and when the US after a while will realize its needs for China and if that time comes, China will no longer supply the US consumption, it will be that US will buy these goods from other countries who have these goods at much higher price by then, just like what the US has done to Europe when they sold their LNG at much higher price after they destroyed the Nordstrom pipelines. What goes around comes around.
Tariff is always pass-on to the buyer, therefore 60% increase in tariff on Chinese products will be paid by American consumer! Moreover, many American manufacturers will loose the opportunity to buy cheap raw materials for their key industries! This will lead to unemployment and inflation in US!
The United States (US) is freaking out, because the People’s Republic of China is proving to the world that the western neoliberal capitalistic model can’t compete with China’s state led socialist model. The US government, therefore, has decided to abandon its free trade policy, to impose instead unilateral sanctions and other restrictions in order to stop China’s growth. This, however, will have the effect of accelerating de-dollarization! The West knows that its economic model does not benefit 100% of its people. It serves only its oligarchs. That is why the West must resort to lies, deception and crimes to try to disrupt China’s superior economic model that serves 100% of her people. And, China has accomplished this without colonizing anyone! It is important to note that the US has repeatedly refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. The US, hypocritically, claims to support Taiwan’s inalienable right to self-determination and independence! Moreover, the US still has today 38 million Americans living in poverty, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens. China, on the hand, has already eradicated her poverty at home, despite having 4 times the US’ populations. The US government claims to be the champion of democracy with only 33% of Americans reporting satisfaction with our government. 90% of Chinese, contrary to western propaganda, are satisfied with their government! Let the people themselves judge democracy.

The reason for this are several facts : To be a politician you have to be a very effective liar, the education system is not competitive with other countries etc.
This analysis hits. Was waiting for the obvious statement that the billionaire class influence on politics in US and the West to the detriment of the so-called free market has hurt the US-led Western economic policy. Good job on this video.
China has made unprecedented progress in meeting the human needs of its population since the end of the Cold War. Surprisingly to the West, this happened without free, competitive elections or any pretense at “Western style” democracy. This presents a different attraction to all developing countries with a different approach of modernization without being westernization.
Ben is clearly expressing amazing double standards practiced by US and EU! When suited, free trade is promoted! When competition is tough, sets up barriers and forgets about free trade!

Imposing 60 percent tax on Chinese goods is such a blessing for China. WHY? This will put a brake on the Chinese addiction to doing business with the US. It is best for China to have a clean break [decouple] with the US. This way China can develop and be the best in the world for everything.
China is probably not gonna be the best for everything, corruption ruins most of what they do, but because only europe and britania pay premium chinese products will be cheaper worldwide
I think the same, to be honest
China will just sell intermediate products to Vietnam and Mexico, who will then do the final assembly and slap on a made in Vietnam or Mexico label. Of course the product will be sold at a substantial markup, but that's the price for looking like you're doing something.

There's no stopping China now I'm afraid. They've vastly improved their product offering and when all else is considered their cars are real value for money. We are getting a new car next week and it's gonna be a Chinese brand. They offer a lot more than the European cars in terms of the technology inside the car.
Chinese people often worry about not being diligent enough or not doing well enough, so they start planning for the next ten or even twenty years while taking this step.

if China can make the best out of this US sanctions and tariff restrictions later, and when the US after a while will realize its needs for China and if that time comes, China will no longer supply the US consumption, it will be that US will buy these goods from other countries who have these goods at much higher price by then, just like what the US has done to Europe when they sold their LNG at much higher price after they destroyed the Nordstrom pipelines. Tariff is always pass-on to the buyer, therefore 60% increase in tariff on Chinese products will be paid by American consumer! Moreover, many American manufacturers will loose the opportunity to buy cheap raw materials for their key industries! This will lead to unemployment and inflation in US!
Nah it will lead to investment in america because there is still demand.
