@user-lk7cv8vg7r I don’t disagree with that, I have been green for a very long time. I tolerated the downsides of low energy bulbs but transitioned to LED as soon as I could. I had the odd junk bulb but these have improved and now I have an entire home lit solely by LED. I have also low electricity bills as a consequence. What western countries are planning will only make energy poverty a greater problem and will actually eliminate the opportunities in the rest of the economy.

@@fannyalbi9040 Yes but the costs of R&D reducing the profits is what’s holding them back. In China they have continued to reinvest in R&D which is why they can saturate their own country and if it’s good value for Chinese it will be good value elsewhere. This is something that US companies ignore. So they will forever have new competitors who under cut their prices and are better goods as well.

China is an absolute juggernaut. US and European economic pressure on China will obviously result largely in damage to their respective economies. The more rational policy would be to work WITH China rather than against it. However, the Western mindset, which is essentially a racist and resentful one, can not abide the thought of losing their historical dominance of global trade.
The West is staggeringly hypocritical, and is increasingly demonstrating how poor a loser and spiteful it is. I look forward to the time when all the nations of the global south (the global majority) no longer feel they have to act deferentially towards the US empire.

One minor point though: Europe has essentially been economically irrelevant for an extended period of time now. The “Western mindset” is essentially the US mindset with the Europe simply being a blind follower of the US without openly admitting to it. This is hurting Europe in an unforeseeable fashion - they are simply doing nothing but working for the USD whilst having a stagnant economy which is bound to go bust.

China has bigger issues (housing bubble) currently than its trade wars with the West. The problem with China is it doesn’t play by the international rules of fair trade and IP theft. It’s pursuit of self-reliance has decreased its dependency on imports, but China continues to maintain its reliance on foreign demand.

As someone from a former Soviet republic, I regret our governments betrayed what our ancestors were building and developing. They believed Western countries, believed in democracy, freedom, were charmed with the movies, clothes, architecture. But that was mostly well-managed presentation of those. And if there were crucial economical problems in USSR in 80es, then they should have done like China did - make economy more open, competitive market, but carefully and gradually.... In the city where I live now, there were space related industries, was aircrafts plant, tractor machines plant... now people mostly earn money by reselling Chinese goods. (Especially cheap goods, because most people don't have high salaries, and thanks to China world can consume cheap products...) Not far from my house - huge building - Palace of Culture. Performances were held there for common people. (Such were all over USSR). Now it's mostly abandoned, not demolished probably because building itself is great, I think. It seems, we live on ruins of what used to be a powerful and advanced country.
In my parents times, job was given right after you graduate from university, same with housing, you didn't have to pay all your life for basic needs. They were granted. Like they say 'we exchanged all these for Cola, Jeans and Bubble Gum". I myself believed that USSR was totalitarian state with heavy propaganda. But now I understand that that propaganda was a Defense from outer unfriendly world, and 'totalitarian'' was just Order in society that every state needs. And what West offers now? Slavery in exchange for necessities, overthrowing governments threat, if it is too independent, capitalistic social injustice...

Yes, I've been working on a project for industrial transformation recently, delving into the development history of many rapidly growing industrial regions in China. It's evident that they realized early on the importance of not relying long-term on low value-added manufacturing, as it could be replaced for various reasons. Therefore, they have been continuously upgrading their industries, moving towards the field of scientific and technological research and development, a process that has lasted nearly 20 years. Chinese people often worry about not being diligent enough or not doing well enough, so they start planning for the next ten or even twenty years while taking this step.

Then one by one, every small nation get targetted by all their investment frozen in the name of "Freedom", followed by US military bombing. The largest victim is African nations, as they do not infrastructure to build their nation, all the US loan they get is useless, so they invest them back into US market, and back in 90s, one by one it's frozen in the name of human right freedom.

The United States (US) is freaking out, because the People’s Republic of China is proving to the world that the western neoliberal capitalistic model can’t compete with China’s state led socialist model. The US government, therefore, has decided to abandon its free trade policy, to impose instead unilateral sanctions and other restrictions in order to stop China’s growth. This, however, will have the effect of accelerating de-dollarization! The West knows that its economic model does not benefit 100% of its people. It serves only its oligarchs. That is why the West must resort to lies, deception and crimes to try to disrupt China’s superior economic model that serves 100% of her people. And, China has accomplished this without colonizing anyone! It is important to note that the US has repeatedly refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. The US, hypocritically, claims to support Taiwan’s inalienable right to self-determination and independence! Moreover, the US still has today 38 million Americans living in poverty, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens. China, on the hand, has already eradicated her poverty at home, despite having 4 times the US’ populations. The US government claims to be the champion of democracy with only 33% of Americans reporting satisfaction with our government. 90% of Chinese, contrary to western propaganda, are satisfied with their government! Let the people themselves judge democracy.

There are two types of people in our world; one that jealous at the other but take the jealousy as an encouragement to improve their life, while the other type of people who just jealous and complaint and whine , but do nothing to improve their life. The US falls into this category.

    The dicotomy:
China's Socialist model improves the quality of life for its citizens.
The U.S. protectionist model of subsidies and trade barriers reduces the competitiveness of the companies receiving the subsidies, and creates additional financial burdens on the citizens.

The US's main export is the Dollar followed by weapons, China on the other hand exports everything else, and the US economy collapses when countries stop using the Dollar to trade with each other as it's started to happen the US can't force countries to use the Dollar, As the dollar looses it purchasing power or its value as the reserve currency imposing tariffs will not do much as the Chinese and others will use the Dollar only for tourism to the US

@@TacticalMayo They already have. And thinking you are going to invade them? Is a fools errand. They produce more steel than the rest of the world combined. They have half a dozen steel mills that they shut down due to pollution near their cities. But all of them are preserved, maintained and guarded. They could have them all back online in a week if they were threatened. And while the US has to buy weapons at extortionist prices? China OWNS the Military industrial complex. It gets it all at cost. And unlike the west where its not financially feasible to have excess production capacity laying around idle, They have a ton of military production that is sitting there waiting to go if they need it.

So glad you are studying in China and sharing your perspective! As a biologist, I realized long ago that the greatest advances in evolution were all based on cooperation rather than competition. In the US competition is regarded as the most important of interactions, and this may be true initially/superficially, but progress is much more profoundly dependent on cooperation. Right now all the most important, existential challenges humanity faces can only be met through global cooperation. The USA is following a path leading to human extinction. Many thanks for your work!
