We're used to it but I always imagined the upper Pacific Coast to be cool and delightful.

I love the sophisticated look of this quilt. The colors don't scream "Christmas" like bright reds and greens because they're deeper, richer shades. I like the simplicity of the design and quilting pattern. Using the visible gold thread for the quilting brings out the gold metallic accents in the jelly roll fabrics and lends softness to the expanses of white. I think I would have used a soft cream background instead of the stark white, just a subtle difference. Cream would be lovely with that jelly roll.

I didn’t do any quilting when it was hot earlier this week. That “heat dome” was all over western North America. I live in BC and we just closed up the house, turned on the AC and did nothing. Now we’re back to regular summer temperatures and I am ready to quilt! Thanks for another great video Donna! 😀🇨🇦
