How about a couple rows of echo quilting to make the star stand out a little. Or, a couple rows of echo quilting aroud the whole tree, and then just straight lines to match the squares in the border everywhere else, including stitching in the ditch for the tree itself. Or swirls all over inside the tree like branches.
Hello, I just saw this video and would love to make several quilts from this pattern. Can I still get the pattern? And can I buy enough Christmas charm packs for 3 quilts? I understand that fabric is gone, but something similar with reds and greens would be great.

I downloaded this pattern last year and just now starting it. Using a charm pack that was included in another kit and some light background charms from another pack. I am saving the other half of the HST which are about 4 1/2 inches to maybe make another one little smaller. Thank you for your free patterns and great tutorials. You make this look so easy..

Yes there is enough. You will need four 5 inch cuts down the side but the excess can be cut into other pieces since everything is a 5 inch cut in the pattern
hello. I made this today with the mini charm pack. once i.pur most of it together I realized my charms were not exactly 2 1/2 inches. is that the norm? my borders didn't match up.

Since I didn't have room for the full size, I cut the one charm pack into 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 squares and used them, adjusting the background material accordingly. I'm really happy how it came out. Now to figure out what to do with the left over squares! :)
Thanks for the free pattern. I made a similar smaller version as a craft holder wall hanging for my daughter last Christmas. Now I'm looking for mini versions of patterns for other holidays.
You said it comes in two sizes. I'm looking for the other size on the pattern. I only see the 59" x 59" size. For the smaller size, do we just eliminate the outer white border and bind off the charm squares?

Wouldn’t it work by making the half square triangles to get two out of the the five inch? The quilt would be a little small and not so much waste.
