I love Toteme and was so great to see how the brand has grown and now with runways shows. Thanks for the tip!! I have a few RTW items from Toteme and definitely better priced than the Row. My opinion is both brands do minimalism from regional perspectives, one is Scandi the other is NY - both different and have their own reference points. I was in Tokyo last week and the Margaux was sold out unfortunately. I was able to see one at a preloved store in a smooth calf leather and it was so scratched up so it’s good that you got the grained one. The margaux 10 size is a good size. Congratulations! Will wait for your Birkin and Margaux comparison :)
Enjoyed your thorough commentary on the Margaux. I ordered the dark taupe version in the 10 size from The Row and returned it because the size was just a bit too small for me. I really loved the color and the style of the bag, though. Ended up with the size 12 in cognac from MyTheresa. It's a gorgeous reddish brown. I've been carrying it for a few days now and love it. It is the perfect everyday bag, but I also think it could go fairly dressy or corporate if needed. Will definitely keep my eye open for the 12 in black - I haven't seen it available anywhere. I did put my name on a few waitlists. Also - I agree with you. Comparing this to a Berkin is like apples to oranges. Just not the same thing at all.
The bag is beautiful in the 10. It is very structured. Hope it slouches a bit over time? The slouchiness of the Margaux is the whole appeal. I love the deep brown in 15 size as well. Beautiful bag.

I honestly love them both, for different reasons. I think the Margaux leans more casual, the Celine 16 is a bit more dressed up. I think if you lean more casual or dressy than go with the more casual or dressy style. Thank you so much for watching❤
I think you made the right choice with the size. While the large bag may look great on 5’8”-5’11” models and celebrities, the smaller size coordinates with your height and petite frame much better. Congrats!
I live in Europe and it’s great to be able to buy things on Vinted from Italy, France, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Portugal etc.. However - it is shocking how many fake The Row bags are being listed. I’m afraid this would totally put me off buying a genuine one! There are so many “under the radar” brands which are more interesting and individual. I don’t believe in buying into a brand which is being posted all over Instagram.
The fake ones have a completely different weight and leather feel to them. Even after seeing some good ones it’s just immediately apparent they’re not original.

I really like the Margaux, but it is getting so overhyped. There is a Margaux though that doesn't have the side buckles and has sharp angular corners that looks interesting. I want the grained leather though and I have only seen it with smooth calf skin. The Devon bag is interesting as well
I definitely think buying at full retail directly from the row or other reputable retailers is the way to go!! Buying luxury resell especially in N.America is a huge gamble. So many fakes out there… I know one specific very popular luxury consignment in Seattle is consistently selling fakes

A bag insert would completely defeat the bag’s style/purpose.
