Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have a RS3 8V 2017 (facelift), I plan to get the Velo seats for the two front seats. Do you say that the base and slider that you bought from Ebay, will fit the RS3?
Yes same fitment as this and the Golf. I haven’t seen them on eBay for a while. I still have one if you are in Australia and want it, otherwise looks like the ones from Planted are the go.
I didn’t get around it but I remember seeing a mod with putting resistors in the plug to trick the computer. It’s often easier searching the VW groups because more of those guys swap out their seats
Im selling mine if you are in Australia. If not then a quick search on eBay will give you a few to choose from. Looks like the guys who made mine aren't doing them anymore.
@@TheEddysGarage did you get any lights or anything afterward? (Assuming you added a resistor for the airbag). If not, I'd say it doesn't have one and I'll be ordering my seat as soon as my coilovers are in 😉
@@ultra727 airbag light comes on because the seatbelt is disconnected but apparently it can be coded out. I would put my other seat back in after track days and clear the code.
I was told that a 4.7ohm 1/2 watt resistor is the one to use but I never did it myself. I just put the stock seat back in after a track day and cleared the code with an OBDeleven
Great video. How did you get on with the airbag resistor?
Just got a set of seat for my Miata build, congrats on the install car looks very clean to

@@TheEddysGarage Thanks for your advice
What seat rail bolts did you purchase? M10x38 Hex Head Cap?
I bought an assortment of high tensile bolts and the rails also came with some
@@TheEddysGarage The thread pitch is 1.5 if anyone was wondering. I found M10x35 1.5 and it worked great!
@@whoismorggan Thanks mate.
So, have you resolved the air bag warning issue? If yes, please share your experience.

Hi, do you have another link for the base?
I can’t find one for my mk7 golf R

Does the driver side seat have an occupancy sensor? I can't find anything online about driver side
Not sure if it has a sensor or just the seatbelt light.

Were these safe with the stock seat belts and the high side bolsters? I want to retain my stock belts because I mainly use my car on the street.
The lap belt isn’t very tight unless you put it through the side harness holes
If you ever think about removing all the seats let me know! I'm after some supersports seats
Sold the car a few months ago sorry
Anyone know about the resistor to use ? Thanks in advance guys
