    Nice, easy going song. Thanks, guys! Good to see another JPMP review and the new set! Speaking of Adrian Belew, listen to the song Matte Kudasai from King Crimson (studio version, please!). Not only is his guitar work on display, but his awesome singing too! I think you'd both love it.

    I like it for being laid back and chill. Couple surprises in there as well which I don’t mind. I would play it in the background.

    The band's back together! Yeaaaaa! I got at least 1 word for this tune: nice! The vocals are very interesting, so much that I paid limited attention to the other sounds. I'm surprised I never heard of this guy before. Score 4.0 with appreciation for the 70s.

    Warms the heart watching a new JMPM reaction. Not sure if this is a first listen for me, the song sounds very familiar. I liked the guitar and bass mostly and the easy going pace. I also liked the vocals, sorta reminded me of Smokey Robinson.

    5 top shelves. Not the Costco kind, but teak or Norwegian wood. Simple but elegant. Love blues guitar. See John Hiatt’s ‘Old Habits’. Maybe you can find it in the bargain bin :)
    Ps, good to see you guys back together. Kinda like a burger with 🍟. Not just ordinary fries, but natural cut with spicy seasoning.

    I'm old so I'm not familiar with Childish Gambino, but if you know Al Green - Sly Stone you will understand where some of Darondo vocal dynamics are coming from.

    Couldn't even hear a guitar? Literally starts with it. I'd suggest listening to more older music, learn about the instruments and then comment on them. Was painful to listen to this review

      take in consideration these are young men. Older people like myself and im assuming you are more inclined to know what to keep our ears out for. take for instance they relate the vocals to childish. i applaud them for expanding their musical tastes.

      @@kennethmoore2206 But, regardless. Just cause they're young isn't an excuse. Anyone with an ear for music would know that was a guitar right off the bat. Also the random comparison to Gambino was funny.

      @@bananacakesmckanzee7290 with this generation and the killing of our school music programs I can see where the unfamiliarity of different instrument sounds can be a thing. As simple as the recognition of a guitar intro is there are those out there that maybe never heard one with the program heavy production that goes on today. I’m just spitballing here lol

    • @bananacakesmckanzee7290
      @bananacakesmckanzee7290 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kennethmoore2206 I see what you mean, but I’d say guitar is too distinguishable of an instrument, just as piano, drums or even violin are. These 4 are distinct based on their unique sound from another, and their basic as far mainstream media goes (btw not only in the music industry, but in portrayals in movies tv etc.).You think of “instrument” and you most likely think of these, not computers, even if that’s the rage these days.
      Now if it was something like woodwind or brass instruments, then sure since they really do require more musical knowledge and attention to distinguish the different instrumental families and then instruments within a family (based on their range, tone, etc).
