This song is a vibe if you’ve been in his shoes or broken… I don’t think you guys know what he’s feeling. He has this medley that is some type of good feeling vibe but it’s a heart broken song that you can relate too. I think this song is a solid 10 for being so simple and awesome. On my playlist forsure

This is close to late 80s early 90s honky-tonk country which is what us real country fans miss so very bad 😢

Midland is great. They make some really good traditional western music with twang that would make George Jones proud

I liked it. My mind wandered away from the music and story. That "all the king's horses..." line brought me to Humpty Dumpty. I pictured his stupid, careless self falling off the wall and cracking in half. The men DID put him together again (using super glue). Humpty, now visibly scarred, terrifies passers-by as he, once again, carries his careless self on top the wall. Although they physically put him together again, Humpty's fractured psyche was forever broken. 2.2

I love it, great way of incorporating it into the song as well.

I liked the song, kinda folk/country. I liked that the song was simple, catchy and easy to follow. I liked the nice chill melody, but what caught my attention and felt good was the swing groove.
On a separate note and when you get a chance, I'd like to make a song request for Manny because he plays guitar. The song I think Manny will have a lot of fun with is "This Beat Goes On/Switchin to Glide" by The Kings. In the early 80's when I was first learning to play drums my buds and I would always go to a studio to jam and have fun. We'd always mess around at some jam center and act like a bunch of lunatics. We'd always sing this song because it was a fun and the song described our personalities pretty well. Before the jam ended one of my buddies would always play the song's intro rhythm riff. What was cool about the riff was anybody could play it, you didn't have to know how to play guitar. Just like the intro riff to "Roadhouse Blues" by the Doors, you felt like a guitar player when you played these simple riffs. Today when I go to a guitar store, I always play that riff to see if I can turn some heads. I enjoy playing this song, I think Manny will have fun with it. Oh yeah, the song is a good song, between a 4 and 5 in my opinion.

Personally I would have much rather seen a different Midland song reacted to such as Drinkin Problem, Fourteen Gears, or my personal favorite This Old Heart. Those songs do have more "movement" in the music vs this song just staying in that same "good" space as you called it. Also, you were spot on with the album cover reaction of them being polished and as such their music being over-produced. It is actually quite interesting to compare how retro they try to look and sound yet how modern and polished they make it.

One of your best videos. Glad to see Manny cooperate in the intro. Also Manny's Publix analogy was spot on.
In the pursuit of peace and goodwill, I will not give my opinion of this song.

Guys it's not fair to compare Midland to Tyler Childers or Steel Woods--completely different focus. Midland is consciously keeping alive and attempting to bring back the synthesis of rock and country from the 70's (Eagles, and some of the Austin sound of that era) but dressed on the album like classic Nashville rhinestone chic from those years as well as Dwight Yoakum from later in the 80's and 90's. Steel Woods and others are keeping Outlaw Country alive, raw, gritty and outside the mainstream. I think both sounds are fantastic, but they really aren't comparable.

Dang this 4/4 country beat kills my brain every time I hear it.. Love that you's guys are sampling things outside the norm. This one, however, just kinda missed the mark.
