Isn't this the Bird from the 3DS Sound Program which is pre-installed?

Already started planning it out. I recreated it in FL studio already so I know the melody of all the parts already. Now I just gotta learn how to arrange songs in Mario Maker, scan in my Splatoon amiibo and make some music :)

I noticed some things while watching this. The boxing glove and the firework are in the same spot on different screens, and they're never both present at the same time, which greatly supports your idea that you can change the sound blocks by shaking them. Also, the Cat Paw is an option for the hand that appears in the editor, so it's very possible that it is the screaming face as you guessed, and the hand that does the swatting matches the one you have the editing hand set to.

Yeah that's a tutorial level, it starts when you boot up the game for the first time.
I thought I was clear that it's a cat's paw. It even appeared in the trailers before.

So looks like SMB and SMB3 have the kuribo shoe while SMW and NSMB have Yoshi. And the items that grant you the ability to fly change according to the game skin.
Actually if you tap any Amiibo in any other mode than SMB you will get the (SMB3) Super Leaf (SMW) Cape Feather or (NSMBU) Propeller Mushroom
IKR it's supposed to be based on NSMBU.
2 things!
1.) So a cat has 4 arms and not legs? Sounds kinda weird because here in Austria you would say "this cat has 4 legs"
2.) That little bird is not a random bird. There is an app on the DS that changes your voice right? I think it's the same little bird like in this game.

maybe the different birds are to alternate your voice, like making it lower or higher or maybe even distorted. Since the bird is small, it may be to make your voice higher. since you see no other bird in the level that yellow bird was placed
That would make sense as the birds appear in DSi/3DS sound which is where you can edit your voice to high/low pitch or fast/slow

I REALLY like how they made it to where you have to start with just one row and unlock more as you go. Really creative! It makes me even more hype for this game!Some of you are probably asking why I like that. Well that's because the game makes you work for what you want to unlock. That's just pure amazing.

I think that the fan is a light because assuming it makes the disco ball and there is a lightbulb icon so it would make more sense. Also great video
0:11 The giant red stiletto seems to have a ground pound feature. It knocks out both Koopas and then sends some menacing stomp clouds in either direction. They might be able to take out enemies within close range.
Might have already been mentioned, but regarding the custom "Happy Birthday" sound may be what that parachute icon in the level was for (considering the color around it is the same as that for the bird timer during the prep point of recording). It may also not require moving through it, but is automatically ran when in view.
I do have a good prediction, remember from the DSi sound player that has different sound effect when you switch the L and R buttons so the rest of sound effects are almost the same from the shoes and claps, so yeah it's reasonable.

The screen at 2:19 of the original trailer seems to indicate that the sound effects will be unlocked in bunches like the the course items. If so, then the exclamation point by the bird probably just means it's new.
Alternatively, the sound effects panel might be one more thing to unlock alongside the course items, meaning it will take 10 days to unlock everything instead of 9.
That is a really smart idea. When you first get the game you get level 1-1 stuff. Which is good because it makes you want to play it more to get more and it doesn't just throw beginners into this overwhelming thing where you have 50 million different options and you don't know what to do first.

You could make awesome Story levels with those sounds and effects... amazing
There are so many fun and creative possibilities, some players may even find new ways to interact with items and create new mechanics! We have everything we need to start building, I just hope that these items don't become abused. What we DO need is something like a new time mechanic where a player uses a koopa shell and waits for it to hit a block within a set time triggering something. That is a good example of players creating new mechanics. An example of how the items will be abused are troll blocks that you have no idea will happen, a shitload of enemies on a screen, annoying noises with audio recordings, a secret exit to a badly designed level only the creator knows, etc. and god I hope things like that don't happen and there will be a way around them.
+GameXplain there has to be more than 14 sound effects due to the fact that the fireworks effect is in the toolbar in the overworld section but is replaced by a boxing glove in the underworld section where the discoball comes into play. Just a thought.
Speaking of Music, I believe the Music Block can be mixed in with the enemies. Slow down the part where Mario Paint Music was created and you can see that enemies actually activate different instruments and notes by where they were placed., even the Super Mushrooms at the Super Mushrooms at the end played the bass drum. They play their "part" or note the moment they appear on screen as when you started running it sped up. An even closer look. You will notice that the Red Koopas actually play the Bass part of the song.
I don't know if you guys noticed this or mentioned this in a previous video, but when putting things down into the world, the name of the object/creature is sung in the tune of the super mario theme song
The cartoon explosion which causes the firework is not at the top of the screen during most of the video, so either when you tap the icon it changes to what it'll appear as, or there really are more effects than what appear.
I was so hyped already but the sound effects and music notes and voice recording just got me even more hyped :)

Did you notice that the cartoon explosions are replaced by the boxing gloves in the sound effects?
My idea with the bird is that it changes color with every use. The bird's icon is always white-and-green, though in the animation for recording, the bird is yellow and green. I think with each use, the bird will change color/shape
Could you do a video about what changes there are for each theme? Like how playing in the NSMB style differs from SMW, SMB3, and SMB? And also what items change (like how the goomba's shoe becomes a yoshi).

The music blocks don't seem to be activated at the Mario Paint Theme part, if you look closely! Hmm... I am confused.
The list of sounds at the top at around 3:00 doesn't include the firework icon.

I'm hoping that the koopalings will come in some way whether they have a compatible amiibo, DLC, or something else.
I also hope there's a mode to make an enemy non hostile and/or fight beside you. It'd be cool for a boss battle in my opinion like having 1 or all of the koopalings fight off their father, or goombas attack hammer bros (aaaaaw ^-^).
I prefer LittleBigPlanet's way of giving out creating tools than this game. Its more rewarding to play through the game and earn these items than just waiting a certain amount of time
Sjono I played LBP 1 and 2...
It was a pain to collect everything.. Especially where you need 2 or more players to reach it..No fun at all for me.
orangeyoshi64 You get new objects by playing for a short time, THEN you have to wait a whole day to use them, which is an unnecessary extra step.

I think you can shake the sound effect blocks and make alternate forms because the boxing glove and the cartoon explosion are in the same spot
in 2:41 that 14 sound effects didn't have firework effect to choose.
The cat paw isprobably the shake-alt of the boxing glove.
Can´t wait for the "Super Mario Maker MLG edition turbo DX Remix" and "Sanic's gotta go fast adventure & Knuckles " levels.
I think that you start off with the entire first row of items to choose from, as they say "Don't worry, we'll provide you with the basics" or something like that.
The screen glitches might be a reference to the NES sprite flickering if too many line up.
I wasn't at all going to buy this but after watching this video I'm thoroughly hyped.

BlueBlur Nintendo does not have any restrictions on levels. Except for being playable. So the only way to stop that is for people to flag levels or block levels from a creator on their page. So they will be out and downloadable for people for a couple days to a week.

Larry Palma What do you want to tell me with that? ;) I guarantee you that we won't be allowed to upload our stages that contains any recorded sounds in it. No online function in Nintendo games allows any kind of public voice chat or voice in general.. And neither will Mario Maker.

Why didn't you talk about the Amiibos, and the fact that the green bird returns from the DSi and 3DS Sound Programs? Come on, I expect completion here, guys.
there is one thing I notice that you guys didn't point out. have you notice the bowsers on the belt? They look a lot small than the ones in the other trailers. What could this mean? I have a crazy idea. What if they brought the mini mushroom back and you can uses it on enemies to make them smaller. It is a long shot, but it could be possible.

🙋The thing about the sound bird is that its from the sound app on the DS(idk if its on Wii u I don't have one) and depending on the sound or effect you give it will change shape and you can change the color of the sound. So that maybe why the second bird is Yellow and Blocky.
I still like when you use the 8-bit Mario Amiibo, a lot of enemies and certain objects become 8-bit Luigi Easter eggs.
One interesting thing I think that you may have missed in the trailer was the amiibo support section. In it, they showed Luigi's Mystery Mushroom costume for the first time. However, he was in his modern colors instead of his classic colors from Super Mario Bros. Mario is in his classic colors in the SMB theme, and it's extremely likely that the Mario amiibo will give Mario his modern colors, but why would the Luigi amiibo not give him his classic colors from SMB?
This brings up a good question that nobody has really asked yet: Is Luigi playable in Super Mario Maker? He was playable in all four games represented, it would explain why his Mystery Mushroom costume has modern colors, and it would make it a much more complete Super Mario Bros. experience if he was.
Because the Luigi Amiibo is his Normal attire, Ask yourself this why isn't Toad/Bowser/Peach in their 8 bit selves PS This wasn't the first time they revealed the Luigi Costume he was revealed at E3 PPS The 8 Bit Mario Amiibo was shown to just make him bigger and able to break through blocks like the Mega Mushroom

MegaBlitzer425 All of your criticism is fair. I don't remember them showing off Luigi before, just Wii Fit Trainer, Marth, Bowser etc., but I could always be mistaken. Also, I was referring to the Smash/Mario series Mario amiibo, not the 30th anniversary ones. However, regarding Toad, Peach and Bowser, their SMB sprites are too tall for the amiibo costumes All of the Mystery Mushroom costume sprites are the same height as small Mario, at least all of the costumes they've revealed so far, so they made new sprites. Seeing as they were making new sprites, there was no reason to use their old color schemes. However, Luigi is using the same sprite, (since he was just a recolor of Mario to begin with) just recolored to his modern appearance. It's an odd decision to not let players use his SMB colors for the costume, (blah blah Nintendo nostalgia blah blah) and I believe it's deliberate. Since Luigi has been playable in every Super Mario Bros. game, there is a good chance he's playable in Super Mario Maker, though I doubt he'll have any of his special abilities if he is. Maybe I'm just over-analyzing, but hey that's what ***** is all about, right? ;)
The heart symbol looks like a Crystal Heart from Paper Mario 3D to me.
You mean Super Paper Mario for the Wii and it's called a Pure Heart. That's what I thought when I first saw it

When you activate the bird icon and the recording icon appears there's still room below it maybe the yellow bird allows you to take pictures and add them to your level.
The Mario Maker Analysis was shorter than I thought it would be, seeing the Explained Tonnes of Information shown at E3 and the NWC.

Now I'm fine with the drip fed content of Splatoon, because as a multiplayer game, it's helped keep the game fresh for a long time by introducing new maps, weapons, and modes every week, but doing that for this game is obnoxious. I want access to everything from the start so I can have the freedom to create the levels I want. It basically means I'm not making levels for over a week until I've unlocked it all.

Not to be rude but are you guys ever going to make an analysis video on Mario and Luigi Paper Jam or are you still stuck up on your opinions to make one? Cause there's a lot to see including new animations, graphics fusions of the graphics between M&L and Paper Mario as well as the unique touches to Paper Mario and paper enemies battle style
You missed something. In the Mario 3 styling there are skull conveyer belt things that move slowly, right? And in the clips we see at the end of the analysis we see blue skull conveyor belts moving FAST. Is it possible we can shake them to alter their speed?

It's a bit of a stretch, but that icon below the frog in sound effects mode looks a bit like a Hanenbow from Electroplankton, which was a sandbox game about sound Nintendo made years ago.
I noticed that the ? Mushroom , the Raccoon Leaf , The Cape Feather , and the Propeller Mushroom all share the same box. Thus making the ? Mushroom only avaliable in SMB. Besides , It's too much work to make costumes for all the Platforms.

On day two, there is the ? mushroom, which is normally used with amiibo. How would that mushroom work without a specific amiibo? Would it pick a random costume maybe, or could you pick your own? This is all just speculation...

There are a few errors in this video. I'll show em.
ERROR #1: That "Japanese Mask" is not ever related to that HandFan effect, Instead its related to the Maracas one.
ERROR #2: The PAIN Face effect is not related whit the Cat Poke. Instead its related to the Boxing Gloves effect.
ERROR 3: The Bulb Effect does not give light, Instead it makes a Door Bell noise, Whit a speech bubble whit that bulb in there appearing at the spot you placed it.
ERROR 4: It does not cause bowser to laugh at the player, but instead plays boss battle music. (It is different every generation.)
ERROR 5: The parakeet when shaked becomes a Chicken, Whit a custom sound, It will sounds higher pitched. Chickens arent actually known as birds.
ERROR 6: The screech is the sound effect when shaking the Heart, Making it become the "Dr. UndoDog" effect. Its suited for both scary levels AND music levels.
ERROR 7: The parakeet doesn't act that way, The exclamation mark is only for reminding you that there is a custom sound effect. (By the way you guessed it right, You have to unlock the SFX, But not in the way YOU think.)
TL:DR : Everybody makes mistakes, But its ok, During the time the video was uploaded, Super Mario Maker wasn't avaible, only the trailer was.

When they're going through the days, the Yoshi egg is replaced by the Goomba Shoe. So Yoshi's likely not in Mario 3. 8:19

I really hope that if you shake the cat's paw, you'll get a dog paw. And if you shake Bowser (the boss, not the sound), you get Dry Bowser.
The fan is actually from the bird, because it shows the bird and it plays the recorded effect.

God damn this game is going to be amazing. Nintendo really has done a great job so far with this game. Can't wait to finally see and play the final product.

So did you notice yoshi is not playable in super Mario brothers 3 and that unique power ups like the tanoki leaf and propeller mushroom is only available in the game it originated from that's kinda disappointing since they had every obstacle and enemy be created for each series and yoshi dosnt get the treatment also with the power ups but I suppose it's for you could use the DIFFRENT style games

This was a great analysis, ALTHOUGH maybe more could've been discussed regarding things like 100 Mario and 10 Mario Challenges, ALTHOUGH I don't know what exactly you could analyze from that, ALTHOUGH there is still that online component that we could look into.
