Nice vid, you forgot to check the contact pattern on the coast side though..

Thank you taking the time to share this. Excellent presentation. I'll be doing mine soon and this is just what I needed to feel confident that I can do it. I thought I'd have to play around for a while to get a good contact pattern. Either you got lucky or experience got you there before you checked it. I hope it goes that easy for me. What do you think about using the crush sleeve vs a solid adjustable pinion spacer? I see the solid spacer recommended over the crush sleeve but then I would guess it will be more screwing around with the spacers to get the preload and mesh pattern correct.

HI, sir, can you list the tools you used? For example, you used a triangle shaped tool that I have never seen before nor do I know where to get one. If you post a link on where to purchase that would be great! Thank you so much.

Wow when yoi tightened the pinion nut you can see your big ratchet flex. Im trying to put mine together right now and i cant crush the sleeve. But i only have like a 18inch breaker bar. This is not an easy job at all

By far the best video on you tube. Explained perfect. One question, is there a torque spec on the 30mil nut on the flange? Thanks again.👌👍

sorry for the late reply, no there is not a spec. for the pinion nut it tighten to it crushes the crush sleeve and you achieve the rotational load on the bearings. it starts at about the 20 min mark in the video. thank you for watching

I'm a little unclear on how much preload you put on the taper bearings in the carrier with the spanner wrench. I know it takes experience in knowing just how much to squeeze them by feeling rotation, but is there a way to explain how one might know how much rotational resistance is just right?

Where can I get that tool you have that you attach the third member too? Please let me know, thanks!

hi Robert, y need to change my pinion bearing, how do you determinate the pinion depth? thank you

You are supposed to use red gear dye on a Suzuki. I thought everyone knew that.

With the universal spanner wrench it was almost red

Possibly the coriolis effect interacting with the magnetic field generated from turning the adjusters with that wrench in the up down plane instead of the back forth plane. I can see how that could happen.
