The thing about this song is it mentions almost every other song in the Album which is why this album is about a heartbroken woman. It actually shows up in some subtle ways. 22 doesn't really make a whole lot of sense in the context of the album because it's almost a party song. But with this, it turns 22 into a spiteful reflection of the end of the relationship where she's starting over and drowning her sorrows.

She uses her words and the musical line to paint you this whole story and you are literally visualizing the whole thing in your mind without even knowing it. A lot of people can relate because the heartbreak is so well described that it hits you no matter what. I do believe that it will also be #1 this year.

I’m so grateful to her for releasing this song.

Oh gosh you literally had me crying during parts of this! RED is the most cathartic Taylor album & the 10 minute version is just magical and adds so many layers to the original. The fact that this material was written 9 years ago is mind blowing. I love the fact that Taylor has let go of a lot of the constraints that she used to be held back by of rly releasing her creativity, this whole re-recording journey is like reliving my late teens.
“I'll get older, but your lovers stay my age" - Is a really good punchline for a joke about them. Him being a joke part of it all. He told her she was too young, that is why they didn't work out, but he kept dating women same age as she becomes as years goes by. So his remarks about her being too young were total joke of an excuse. Cruel excuse too, he chose something she couldn't change about herself, and what put all fault on her and made her feel lacking and not enough at the time. But now when time passed she see his dating record and can clearly see that he was full of shit all along, cause he keeps dating girl in same age as she would have got with years if they have stayed together, why would you do that if age was a problem that broke one of your relationships. It seems "Been there - done that" logical deduction of mistakes principal doesn't apply to this guy. He totally gaslighted her in the past.
My favorite thing about the 10 minute version is how she didn’t only keep the hero’s journey aspect of the original, but she expanded on it. Such a master class at storytelling and song writing.
All too well becomes a whole new level of pain when you think about the emotional manipulation, gaslighting, and the huge age gap between her and Jake. He kept telling her that she remembered things incorrectly, and so she keeps repeating "i was there, i remember it all too well" because he keeps trying to tell her she's being crazy. She turns her memory into a weapon, he tried to make her doubt it but now she is using it against him. She remembers everything that happened, and as much as he denies it, he does too.
The way you started throwing stuff, especially the pen I had to laugh so much. But it's true. Since Red TV is out I mostly listened to All too well 10 Minute Version.

It took me three listens to understand the Forever Winter is about Taylor worrying about a loved one struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts. Forever winter if you go." It's such an upbeat song and then the lyrics just punch you in the gut.

I love your videos! You're so honest and real Feedback: I love this backdrop. It's a lot less distracting while being pleasant and enjoyable, while also festive (which I usually hate but you pulled it off). This mic is a lot better; your voice and inflections come through better. The one issue I had was the first half the video, the volume differences between the music and your voice was difficult; was enough that I had a hard time finding a volume where I could hear her and you comfortably.

Oh gosh you literally had me crying during parts of this! RED is the most cathartic Taylor album & the 10 minute version is just magical and adds so many layers to the original. The fact that this material was written 9 years ago is mind blowing. I love the fact that Taylor has let go of a lot of the constraints that she used to be held back by of rly releasing her creativity, this whole re-recording journey is like reliving my late teens.
“I'll get older, but your lovers stay my age" - Is a really good punchline for a joke about them. Him being a joke part of it all. He told her she was too young, that is why they didn't work out, but he kept dating women same age as she becomes as years goes by. So his remarks about her being too young were total joke of an excuse. Cruel excuse too, he chose something she couldn't change about herself, and what put all fault on her and made her feel lacking and not enough at the time. But now when time passed she see his dating record and can clearly see that he was full of shit all along, cause he keeps dating girl in same age as she would have got with years if they have stayed together, why would you do that if age was a problem that broke one of your relationships. It seems "Been there - done that" logical deduction of mistakes principal doesn't apply to this guy.
He totally gaslighted her in the past.
My favorite thing about the 10 minute version is how she didn’t only keep the hero’s journey aspect of the original, but she expanded on it. Such a master class at storytelling and song writing.
“All’s well that ends well, but I’m in a new hell” paralleling “all’s well that ends well, to end up with you” later in Lover!
I LOVED watching you absorb 'All too well' 10 mins version, such genuine Swiftie joy, love it.

All too well becomes a whole new level of pain when you think about the emotional manipulation, gaslighting, and the huge age gap between her and Jake. He kept telling her that she remembered things incorrectly, and so she keeps repeating "i was there, i remember it all too well" because he keeps trying to tell her she's being crazy. She turns her memory into a weapon, he tried to make her doubt it but now she is using it against him. She remembers everything that happened, and as much as he denies it, he does too.

It took me three listens to understand the Forever Winter is about Taylor worrying about a loved one struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts. "All this time I didn't know, you were breaking down. I'd fall to pieces on the floor, if you weren't around. Too young to know it gets better, I'll be the summer sun for you forever. Forever winter if you go." It's such an upbeat song and then the lyrics just punch you in the gut.

I love this backdrop. It's a lot less distracting while being pleasant and enjoyable, while also festive (which I usually hate but you pulled it off).
This mic is a lot better; your voice and inflections come through better.
The one issue I had was the first half the video, the volume differences between the music and your voice was difficult; was enough that I had a hard time finding a volume where I could hear her and you comfortably.
OK but can we appreciate the time you put into the set up that outfit everything such Red vibes I am here for it

She didn't extend All Too Well. The original was the cut version of the 10 minute version. The longer version already existed when Red was originally released.
