I love that this video is becoming a bit of a tradition. The idea of a Q&A focusing on everything and anything spooky is my type of Q&A. Visit New Orleans during Halloween. Louisiana in general has a ton of history but Nola especially does. And the cemeteries. There are sooo many!
To add, the trouble with Harry is a really good classic autumnal film. It takes place during the fall and there's a nice crunch of leaves everywhere in the movie 🍂

I’m from Ireland and thank you for pronouncing Samhain right! We definitely don’t have the amazing decorations and colourful autumn leaves like you get over seas but Ive grown up trick r treating, apple bobbing, watching Hocus Pocus and dressing up (mostly in bin bags 😆)! Hope you get to visit someday 🙌🎃

As a resident of Salem, we tend to avoid downtown at all costs in October unless it’s a weekday closer to the beginning of the month. We get like a million visitors every fall and Salem isn’t very big, nor does it have hotels to house all of those people, so the traffic down here is impossible. Instead of going downtown, I usually do other Halloween-ish types of things away from DT, like the all hallows Eve festival in Forest River Park (which, fun fact, is where the house the witches lived in in hocus pocus is); it’s an accurate representation of the settlement in the 1700s) and it’s INCREDIBLE! There are all of these actors that sit at their own station, and you can just admire their incredibly intricate and SPOOKY costumes and their mind-blowing makeup- of course, there’s apple cider and lots of retailers that own local businesses that have carts set up- mainly the “witchier” shops. I think you would love it- it’s just amazing. And you get to tour the historical homes also 😊
I looooved Only Murders in the Building! It was so quirky and lovely and it was also fun to wait every week for a new episode, it made me really look forward to Tuesdays 😊

as someone who lives in massachusetts I go to salem a lot during october. it’s literally the best place on earth, so spooky and so fun to just walk around with friends and go into the little shops. if you go closer to halloween everyone dresses up. I will say though at night it gets a bit scary because the streets are very crowded everyone’s dressed up (lots in scary costumes) and police are at every corner. it’s still very fun in early october/september :)

It's finally looking and feeling like fall here in SW Ohio! It was warm for so long that just two weeks ago everything was still green! Now all the trees are finally turning fall colors, almost overnight like they're trying to catch up. I love it!

Salem in October, although, yes....very "touristy"... is extremely charming and packed FULL of history. The food is absolutely amazing and the metaphysical shops are so great! You're also an hour and a half away from the Lizzie Borden house, which I highly recommend touring! I will DEFINITELY visit Salem in October again!!!! It's my happy place!

I loved how you circled round to clothing, fashion show, questions, repeat. Hubby and I kept stopping the video and answering the questions between us too. It made me realize, sadly, that there are no photos of my childhood costumes and I couldn't remember a single one! We lived in northern Wisconsin, I mostly remember it had to be a WARM costume. And I remember feeling cheated out of a REAL costume because my mom thought those store bought ones with the plastic masks were cheap looking and dangerous (the mask). Eventually she broke down and bought us one when I was a bit older and I HATED the mask. LOL I remember all the outfits I made for my kids over the years however! And speaking of scary/spooky vintage movies, one of my favorite movies I can watch over and over is Charade with Audrey Hepburn. If you haven't seen it, two thumbs way high up! Also, loved all your clothing selections. Also, I realize it's sort of autumnal, don't miss out on The Three Lives of Thomasina.

I blame global warming. When I was a kid, our costumes had to be warm and we carried flashlights and sometimes it was raining, and I hated when we had to cover our costumes with coats. Now it's daylight when the kids come by, it's warm and dry, and people are still wearing t shirts and shorts this time of year.
The best Autumn movie is Alfred Hitchcock’s The trouble with Harry! It’s hysterical! The cinematography is absolutely gorgeous. If you haven’t seen it, I do think you will love it.

Greyfriars has a really sweet story surrounding it! In the late 1800s/early 1900s (Preparing to be corrected on that ha ha) an old man died and was buried there. His little dog, a Skye terrier named Bobby, refused to leave him alone and slept on his grave every night until he also died about 11 years later. Little Bobby became quite famous and there is a statue of him there (complete with a shiny face because so many people have petted him)

• Mad Monster Party - it's a classic Rankin/Bass stop-motion animated movie from 1967 and is the cutest Halloween movie ever. (Yes, I love The Nightmare Before Christmas, but this one is my fave). 💀
:: Dark Academia ::
• Endeavour - This British TV show is a sort of prequel to an '80s/'90s TV show called Inspector Morse (I couldn't get into it, TBH). It takes place in 1960s Oxford, England. While it is a mystery/detective TV show, much of the investigations wind up on university campuses with academics in tweed clutching books under overcast skies. It tends to have a quieter, contemplative vibe to it, but the characters get under your skin in the best of ways. Start at the beginning: "Masterpiece Mystery: Endeavour" is the pilot on Amazon Prime. It's not free (but the internet exists!), but the rest of the seasons are. I re-watch this constantly. I find it oddly comforting on days when my anxiety gets me jittery.

edit to say you should definitely visit Edinburgh! I live there, and there are plenty more Harry Potter references, like the school that inspired Hogwarts etc. There's some Harry Potter tours as well that show you everything connected to it!!!

Greyfriars Kirkyard is so beautiful especially in autumn. We went there in october 2018 and visited it by day, rubbed Bobbys nose and looked at all the graves. At night we went there with a guide, that shows you around and tell spooky storys. It was absolutely amazing ♥

The What We Said podcast episode from last year was so spooky! I haven't had the courage to listen to this years one yet. Also, the Unsolicited Advice podcast does spooky episodes all October and I listened to some from last year and couldn't sleep.
Greyfriars is also the setting of the book Greyfriars Bobby, which was actually based on a true story! It's one of the best cosy, heartwarming autumnal books!
