Hello friends!
Since moving to our new place, it has been highly requested to film a room makeover/decorating video so at long last, here it is! I really hope you enjoy it. I was going for "living inside a Monet painting but with also feeling like a cozy Studio Ghibli cottage." Without being able to put any wallpaper up, paint or put any holes in the wall, I think it turned out so well!
After 25+ hours of editing I'm off to bed but I really hope you enjoy the video 🥰

Painting candles is not something I have ever thought to do but yours are so sweet and adds the right touch of whimsy in an unexpected place! I just want to say that you have such a wonderful personality and happy presence . I am a teenager and most teens don’t have that type of cottagecore style but I am obsessed with it and you make me feel like I can be whoever I want. I also absolutely love your style-especially the jumper that said ‘ kindred spirits club’ I might try to up cycle an old jumper and make it into so,etching like that. There are lightbulbs that have a flicker/fire effect that can turn any light fixture into a "lantern", super cozy and safer than actual lanterns, just thought I'd share that 🥰

Hi neighbor! I recently discovered your channel and it feels like I’m listening to a friend (one who gets the excitement for pride& prejudice, coziness, autumn, and vintage vibes). I’m a longtime Rhode Island resident and I’ve recently rediscovered my love for this state after settling in Tiverton. If you’re ever in the area, I recommend checking out Four Corners; it’s cozy, artsy, has a super cute cafe, and just feels like a scene out of the 2005 Pride & prejudice movie. You would have gotten along swimmingly with my great grandma Sue. She had a pink room with flowers and white cats all around. She used to teach in a one room school house and loved books. She made us kids read the Bible to her when she lost her sight. I think she let my grandma read the romances when children weren't there. She was a lovely person 😊

Absolutely love what you did with your rental space. It feels so much cozier now! Also, pro design tip: light the wicks of your painted candles (blow them out after like 30 seconds) so even though you don't plan on actually burning them, the scorched wick makes them look more "lived in." I always do this with my decorative candles now!

Everything is very cute but I personally would have made a window seat where the dresser/plant stand is and definitely would add an Annabelle doll...uh I mean soft seat cushion and throw blanket to that cute green rocking chair!! Your cat is so pretty and sweet btw

It turned out so lovely Desi! May I suggest getting a piece of glass for the top of the dresser since it belongs to the landlord and that way plants on top(&watering them) won’t mess up the finish? I just redid my bedroom, guest room and what was a playroom for grand kids that have outgrown it. I painted it pale green and it’s my Zen Den to read, pray, do yoga in. The other rooms I just rearranged, decluttered and changed a bit of decor. What a difference!
