I love Cottage Chesse anyway and this looks really tasty. Usually just mix in blueberries or crushed pineapple but cocoa powder looks like a winner too.
Okay... it's chilling in the freezer. Started a high protein, low carb diet. Eliminated nearly all sugar. About a month in and the cravings are real. Will it hit that sweet spot? Guess I'll find out later. However, thank you kindly for the recipe. Sorbet is another option but a lot of natural sugar in fruit so..maybe not the best solution. Fingers crossed.
Thanks! I'm going to try this~ I love to put sliced bananas with my usually low calorie dairy free ice cream with chopped walnuts so I feel like I'm eating a banana split minus the whipped cream, syrup and cherry on top! A healthier version! I also eat pretzels with ice cream once in awhile, an old Pennsylvanian Dutch German custom! 🥨♥🍦🍌

We have used Splenda for years, but I always wonder if it's really safe. Is Allulose as sweet as Splenda? Thank you so much for all of your delicious recipes.
The easiest way to figure that out is to just enter all the ingredients that you use into an app like MyFitnessPal and it will let you know the exact information for the specific ingredient that you’re using
how do you eliminate the salty taste from the cottage cheese? I've tried several different cottage cheese ice cream recipes and several different types of sweeteners, and I can't seem to get rid of the salty flavor. If I add more sweetener, such as stevia, swerve, etc, it gives it a bitter taste. any suggestions?
Some other people have asked that in different video recipes that I have done. The consensus is that it is the type of cottage cheese that you buy some of them have added less salt in them.
I buy no salt added cottage cheese. It has 60mg of sodium per serving while the regular ones that are available near me, have anywhere from 430mg to 460mg per serving. Edited: Double-checked my label. It has 60mg not the 40mg I originally commented.
@@capricer9799 oh wow, I didn't even realize there was so much in it, I just knew my ice cream tasted salty! I will look for that. I'm sure that would make a huge difference. thanks!
Good Culture brand cottage cheese has slightly less sodium at 340 mg per serving vs 400-something for other brands, but I have not tried it because it’s pretty pricey. I have thought of making some of these cottage cheese recipes with ricotta cheese instead.
I put the cottage cheese in the blender. I added 2 tbsp of cocoa and 2 tbsp of Allulose. Blended until smooth and put in the freezer. I put it in the ninja creami to cream and ate. It was sour tasting. I like cottage cheese so I thought it would be ok. My husband said it was inedible. I don’t know if it needs more sweetener or less cocoa.
No you are only suppose to choose 1 sweetener. That is why I listed all of the options. The option I chose was maple syrup but if your wanting to keep it super low carb then you could choose Allulose The 3 ingredients 1 cottage cheese 2 cocoa 3 a sweetener of your choice Thanks for watching and for the comment
@@CrystalsCleanKitchengirl! Don’t apologize! I love your personality and I love all the fun things that I’m learning from your channel on what I can do with cottage cheese. Love that you have your son as your official “taste tester” 🥰
thanks so much
If you are able, adding 1-2 TBLS of vodka before you blend helps it NOT freeze quite so hard.
Thanks!!!
I've tried doing this and it still turns into an ice cube.
@nickim6571 maybe don’t freeze it as long or if you did freeze it super long then let it sit out on the counter for like a half hour
🙌
Allulose also keeps it from freezing solid.
Can't wait to try making this today! I think I'll add peanut butter and unsweetened coconut (and maybe nuts). ❤😮❤😮😊
Yum
Great ideas!!,, especially with the nuts!!!😊
@daizy8009 thanks for watching
If you leave this in the fridge instead of the freezer, this will probably make a nice pudding.
Yes it would

It is super good
Love the cottage cheese recipes! Thank you.

@gratefultammy thanks
Daisy is the best brand, in my opinion. No gums or any of those other additives. Just milk.
Thanks for that
I made your mini pumpkin cheesecake things the other day and I LOVED them. I will try this today!
Yay let me know how this one turns out.
I made the chocolate cheese cake recipe today. I’m eating it now. It is so good!
Thank you!
Yay!!!! I’m so glad
I will have to make my own COTTAGE CHEESE as most stores have none here in the PHILIPPINES. Thanks for the recipe.
You totally should thanks for watching from the Philippines. That’s so fun.
I do love Cottage cheese. If you can find the GOOD brand of cottage cheese it's the best one out there. I'm excited to try this recipe.
I do need to try that brand again
I have done this but I use chocolate protein powder. I keep my protein powders pretty clean (ingredients in the powder.)
Great idea
Made this and oh,my tummy and tongue are so happy! TY for sharing all your wonderful recipes ❤

I’ll use this recipe to make it in my ninja creami. And when you let the ice cream sit out it wasn’t cooling down. It wasn’t hot 😊

Allulose does not raise your glucose level it’s my all-time fave. Plus, taste delicious.
I also like the taste of it it’s one of my favorites to work with
Erythritol (in chocolate chips) has been implicated in heart attack and stroke, causing “sticky” blood platelets.
Those patients also probably ate way too much of it in moderation. It is not bad.
Yummy 😊

How did it work out in this recipe? Other people have often wondered if they should try it.
Haven't tried this out yet, notice people complaining about salt taste. Maybe straining the cottage cheese will help reduce saltiness.
And rinsing it with water also
Or just heat the coconut oil in a sauce pan and add the chocolate chips to melt it
That would work also
We have used Splenda for years, but I always wonder if it's really safe. Is Allulose as sweet as Splenda? Thank you so much for all of your delicious recipes.
They say that it is 1/3 less than sugar I am not positive what Splenda is on that scale
Splenda has carcinogenic properties in it; bad.
Thx
Thanks for watching
So how many carbs does this end up being per serving?
The easiest way to figure that out is to just enter all the ingredients that you use into an app like MyFitnessPal and it will let you know the exact information for the specific ingredient that you’re using
The cocolate chips are important. Without them, it's just cottage cheese and cocoa.
You definitely could add chocolate chips to the recipe, and it would be delicious
@@CrystalsCleanKitchen I tried this recipe a few hours ago and it was too sweet for me, but others may like it.
You could always add less sweetener that’s what I do
Always go slow with a sweetener and then do a taste test before you freeze it
Sounds good. I want to try it, but that boy didn't really convince me on the taste test!
Haha ok I’ll let him know!!

Can you make it in the Ninja creamy?
Yes!!
Ok, you know I have to add some almond butter to this, or some cinnamon would be good in here, too.
Oh my goodness yes!!!
I wonder how this would turn out in the Ninja Cremi. Did anyone try it?
I remember someone else in the comments saying that they were going to try it
I’ve got two tubs in the fridge,I’m off to make some
Yes!!! Awesome.
Is this low GI?
Yes it is
Is that a Ninja you’re using?
No, it is a blend tec

Halos has been banned in Canada.
You can use any kind of sweetener. Maybe try xylitol
Are those chocolate chips low sugar or Keto? Nestle’s Toll House semi sweet chips have sugar as the first ingredient😑
My chocolate chips are completely sugar-free. I like to buy them from Costco, but Lily‘s brand also has a sugar-free option as well.
👍
Thanks
the son wasn't super convincing 😂
this recipe is all over tik tok and you tube, and even though it tastes...ok... it's too salty.
If you want a less salty taste, try the brand good culture. I have been told that that tastes a lot less salty
@@CrystalsCleanKitchen Thanks I'll try that!
I tried it but it was awful. I do not know how to fix it. I will just throw it away.

It was sour tasting. I like cottage cheese so I thought it would be ok. My husband said it was inedible. I don’t know if it needs more sweetener or less cocoa.
What brand of cottage cheese.
Was it to watery
Also, could it be the baking cocoa that you are using sometimes different brands of baking cocoa taste differently?
2 good cottage cheese. No it was not watery
A lot of mistakes in this presentation. Had to watch it a few times.
Oh I’m so sorry to hear that
You list this as 3 ingredients but my math says 4 ingredients: allulose, cottage cheese, cocoa and maple syrup? Looks delish.
No you are only suppose to choose 1 sweetener. That is why I listed all of the options. The option I chose was maple syrup but if your wanting to keep it super low carb then you could choose Allulose
The 3 ingredients
1 cottage cheese
2 cocoa
3 a sweetener of your choice

That is NOT ice cream… it’s iced ice… you can hear the ice crystals break as she “tries” to scoop if but has to scrape it instead…. 👎
