It could just be me seeing my own reflection, but I'd guess it's the work of an ADHD brain. Getting caught up on 'irrelevant details' as thoughts and feelings immediately wants to yank the wheel and drive straight towards them. Can be great for creativity and conceptual work. And my comment could be a self portrait. Either way, I agree with you. Hames feels like a love letter to that kind of creative self-expression and silliness I think we all wish we could get more of. Anyway, as stated by lots of others before, these clips are so well made and hilarious to the point, where it sometimes just makes me laugh out loud in front of my device!

I mean, he had a barbershop quartet sing about the sponsors in the episode on the Milwaukee coffee brewer in full costume! That's EXTREMELY silly in all the right ways, but it's also very professional in his own spicy way!

I used to post those comments where I'd quote my favourite bit, but that's no longer possible... this is one gem after another. I thought the video peeked with the weed talk, but then came the discussion of the fortunate few and I completely lost it.
What makes it work perfectly for me is how the speech pattern, in rhythm and emphasis, flows so naturally. Is Hames using an audio tweak to make the prosody scan to fit a crafted script, or are they possessed of such an uncannily good ear for pitch, tone, and rhythm, they freestyle the text purely by ear?
Holy crap I watched the whole thing without realize this was not real but a bunch of really good editing to make it seem like this actually was recorded this way.
