That’s why I want to move to Colorado! For the seasons, I’m in Florida and I am sick of it. Overly populated here and it’s extremely hot.

We've been getting a lot of rain this year but often we have restrictive watering. Due to the dryness, it's common to have forest fires in the summer. Our water was sold to other states.
Once of the worst things here is the wind. Most new housing is out east which is pretty much prairie with few trees, so there are no real wind breaks, for damaging wind close to 190 miles an hour. The wind is usually bad in the spring/fall and with some blizzards, in the established areas of the Springs, it will take down big trees causing power outages.
The Springs is over a mile in elevation, which can be hard on people with breathing difficulties. Anyone coming here from a lower elevation will need to take it easy until you get used to it, as the oxygen is thinner here.
My family has been here since 1971, I've been through a few huge snow storms back in the 1990s. However, no matter how bad the storm, it will be over in 3 days tops. People will be shoveling their walk ways in short sleeves as the sun will be out and it will be 40 degrees. So it's good to keep a few staples on hand for a storm but it's better to stay home when the storm is brewing, rather than be out in the weather while the storm is brewing.

I have 6 children and we are moving there next year! We are all so excited for a fresh start in a new city. My biggest concern is housing, good schools, and safe neighborhoods. I'll be making a few trips up there this year to get a good feel of it all and figure it all out. Truly can't wait to make this move ☺️

The west side is gorgeous! Little bit older homes, but the views are worth it.

Personally I like Sprouts more than Whole Foods. They are cheaper and I LOVE getting organic and fresh foods from the farms and stuff. We have both here in Louisiana but I just can't affordn any of them now a days.

My wife and I plan on moving to Colorado in the spring of 2024! Just wondering what the best course of action is to find a home/property with some land in western springs?
    Thanks, and great video!

Hi Brandon! Thank you! There is a premium for homes on the west side due to the views and privacy, especially with sizable acreage so I would definitely keep an eye on those properties as it gets closer. You can have a real estate agent (I can help if you don't have one) set up a new home alert meeting your criteria so that you're notified any time a new listing is coming up or an agent may know of a property coming available that may be off market so you'd have an opportunity before it goes on the market. Zip codes are 80919, 80907, 80906, 80903, 80904 if you want to just casually look on Zillow or irisburton.remax.com/ :)

Best course of action is to bring money and lots of it. If you think your going to find some cheap land with a house near the mountains you are going to be in for a rude awakening. I'd be prepared to spend at least 700k-1 million to get what you want

good luck, need a lot of money for that one, most people live on top of each other all 4 sides
