    Great video.... My daughter goes to UCCS and from Texas, there is NO quality TEX MEX food there... I wanted tacos. everything is burritos. HEB Grocery chain rules Texas, and nothing close to that. Whataburger is there, but is NOT THE SAME QUALITY. Everything closes at 9pm-10pm there... nothing stays open late....But the view is gorgeous, everything is green, and the mood is calmer. Less road ragers in my opinion. Great video!

      Oh my gosh Whataburger was so not good! It’s like a completely different restaurant. I do like the ketchup though! 😁
      And I agree on the Tex Mex. If you can believe it, our food was worse 10 years ago 😂 so glad it’s gotten better

    Folks that are on the fence should probably rent for 6 months to a year first - especially during the winter.

    • @LivingtheSprings
      @LivingtheSprings  ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting perspective. 6 months of rent is $13,000 (average single family home rent x 6 mo) plus inflation. I think it sets you backwards. But would love to hear your thoughts. 🙂

      @@LivingtheSprings Well, earnest money is typically more than that. Builders we looked at wanted 10-25k in earnest money. Plus the cost of closing and other moving expenses. If you are unsure about a place, it makes sense to rent first, get to know the area (and climate), then commit knowing you are very likely to remain there. It is hard to get back all that money if you need to sell your home in less than a year because you decide you don't like the area. If you are willing to downsize for a short time, then you can lower your rent bill too.

      @@JasonTaylor-po5xc ok gotcha 🙂 resale homes are usually 1% of the purchase price. But the average homeowner only stays in their home 5 to 7 years here and right now sellers are open to paying closing costs. I don’t think that’ll last though… But I hear you on getting to know the area. It’s the worse feeling to hate your neighborhood 😂

      @@LivingtheSprings Not just the neighborhood but the city and, some cases, the entire state or region. It it worth getting to know the area before making a huge financial, time and resource commitment like that. Of course, you might risk the market going significantly higher in that time and getting priced out - so it all depends how comfortable someone is with jumping into a house directly from another area of the country. On the flip side, the market could implode or rates drastically go down. I think both are unlikely in the next 6 months but I really have no way to predict the future.

    I love my Skyway Park neighborhood so much. We moved here because we’re hardcore outdoor people…trail-running, hiking and mountain biking. We can access a trailhead at Bear Creek Regional Park a block away. We then cut across the park and are in the trail system containing Section 16, High Drive, North Cheyenne Cañon, etc. You would have no idea that you’re anywhere near a city out here…a mile in the opposite direction from my house and the big city amenities are right there.

    I am originally from Romania (Eastern Europe) but I live in the UK since 2018. Next year I would apply for british citizenship. Would I have a chance to relocate to US as a british citizen? At the moment I work as a call centre agent for a bank but I am also a student, I study Cyber Security. I would like to move to the US after graduation if I would get a good job over there. There are 3 cities I would consider to relocate to: Colorado Springs, Cheyenne,WY or Milwaukee, Wisconsin. To be honest I think Colorado Springs is the most beautiful. Also, I have cousins and aunts living in US and they are US citizens. Would they be able to help me to get a green card? I mean they live in Florida but I wouldn't like to live there because it's too hot and also a lot of hurricanes.
